As we sit here frakkin files, pulling pics, and typing a million words a minute to get our readers the latest updates and information…we find ourselves sometimes forgetting to stop and enjoy our own games. More so our neighboreenos. So we try to make it a point to hop in n out of the towns now and then to see what cool things YOU are up to. So we have decided we want to continue to focus more attention (as if we don’t already 😛 ) on YOU…our readers. Time to time we will be peaking into your towns, checking our Flickr, and also the posts in the comments below to see what cool ideas and designs YOU have come up with to make your towns unique and…well…YOU. So here is YOUR chance to show off all your hard work, time, donuts & in game cash spent. Send us your work, no matter how big or small. Brag about it to the world. We want you to. (That and Bunny loves to see other designs and get inspiration from it.) Then keep your eyes posted to Addicts to see if YOU end up on our “SPRINGFIELD SHOWOFF”.
Well with the Winter Event over (although the snow is still falling…), and we’re right in the middle of Homer the Heretic but I thought now would be a good time to take a look at what everyone did with all their winter stuff! Since it can always be a little intimidating and frustrating trying to figure out just where to put all this stuff…so who better to turn to than our fellow Addicts? And as always you guys came through big time! You guys have some great designs and ideas for all this super inspired stuff…so let’s take a look:
This week’s response was awesome (which surprised me because I gave y’all such short notice. You guys are awesome!), I opted to do another Gallery for the images. Great designs everybody! My overall favorites were willemvandev and adric9. Brittj87, I really like how you cleverly put springfield henge at the top of a hill! And justin-b – LOL’d at your caption because the same exact thing happened to me! Wanted Costington’s, got Slide Factory. But hey, I can’t complain cause it was free.
Does anyone else still get coins? I haven’t gotten them since I finished and even though the fountain says I am getting them, I am not. Am I missing out on bonuts?? 😕
No…there doesn’t seem to be any discernible reason to collect the coins, as there isn’t any “bonuts” bonus round in this update. Odd. I guess they just go into some huge virtual change purse…

Nice designs everyone, I would of submitted mine but I am still designing around mine until I am happy enough with it. dirksteele I really like how springfield henge glows and I want to know how you did that, brittj87 and jfann_krob78 I love the 3D designs you both done with the henge and the tower with slides, ice walls, braziers and mushrooms. rob-e I really like how Chalmers is terrified of seeing Maggie sacrificing a sheep.
DirkSteele here. I don’t know if this happens to everyone (assume it does as I am sure I am not special) but parts of my Springfield randomly activate where all the animations for all buildings and decorations activate and stay active while I am playing. It just happened at the time I went to take screen grabs that stone henge was glowing, the wicker man was burning and the saucer was flying constantly. If there is a way to control this I would love to know but it happens almost every day and probably covers an area as much as 40 or 50 squares by 40-50 in my town at any one time. Sorry I could not be of more help.
Oh and if you look carefully you will notice the monk is part way down his drop in to the goo. He was being constantly dunked.
That was very helpful and thanks for the reply. I think the random animations only happen on certain devices where if you’re in the game for a while they occur. Just the other day I noticed the ba’al pit balls moving even though I didn’t send bart or milhouse there and over a year ago the heights was animated because the business centre was lit up and the fountain top was active which makes me wonder why EA programs the animations on buildings and have no way to activate them.
I didn’t even notice the monk until now but I did see the phone kiosk sign glow next to the monk.

I love seeing the showoff posts! I wanted to share mine but my picture stitching app has been extremely lame lately and doesn’t let me save whatever I do.
Anyone have any suggestions on apps to use? Or even a website?
I’m not seeing a name on (I think) #12 from the top. Very clever idea using the snowy slides to make that cool design. I’d try that if I had more slides. 👍RachelS

Am i the only one who still has the quest with Martin and Lisa to go see his castle? Just because i have the costume from last year – Eventhough i can’t even buy the castle anymore
No. I have it too. Not sure how to make it go away though. (My wife also had the task, but then she bought the castle.)
