Of course it wouldn’t be an event in Springfield without premium items in our stores, just tempting us to spend sprinkles on them!
Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything that looks as awesome as this because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add (the long awaited) Rabbi K and Temple Beth Springfield to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this highly requested Rabbi to your Springfield…

-Building animation is lacking, doors open. Nothing really fun with it.
-Character animations are “meh”. Not bad, but not the best we’ve seen
Final Thought
Premium:
It’s Rabbi Krustofsky. I know many premium players already own him and you’ll end up getting him just on the fact that it’s Rabbi K. I’m one of those players. How can I not add him? But I do think EA slapped a high donut price tag on a highly requested character (because they know they’d get the price) and really dropped the ball on some of the animations. If it were any other character, I’d likely tell you to pass.
Freemium:
Honestly, Brother Faith is a MUCH BETTER buy. Brother Faith is cheaper, has a bonus % and hilarious animations. Rabbi K is over priced and is lacking in his fun animations. That being said, many of you will get him just because he’s Rabbi K..and I get that. However, for those of you looking at the practical side of things…Brother Faith is the smarter buy. Freemium players, if you’re not on the side getting him just because he’s Rabbi K I’d pass. And spend your donuts on Brother Faith.
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do. And I can tell you as a premium player, I picked him up almost immediately. For me, it’s the fact that it is Rabbi K and we’ve been waiting a while for him to join our games. (but I also purchased Brother Faith) Just remember this is limited time , and will be leaving our stores once the event ends. So be sure to make your final decision before he’s gone from our games for good. (or for now..)

awesome! I didnt get him, I wanted him but I couldnt bring myself to spend that much on one character.
I’m torn as to getting him. Classic character, but not voiced. His voice is half the appeal, and like other great characters will probably get lost in the game and have no more interaction or other skins…..BUT, it’s Rabbi K!

I enjoy the character, but I have to be honest, it is all about Jackie Mason voicing the character. I understand the reason why it’s not voiced in the game, but it’s pretty much a deal-breaker for me at this price. I may change my mind, but at this moment, I think it’s going to be a pass for me.
I agree. Jackie Mason made Rabbi Krustofsky. The inconic episode in S4 when Bart and Lisa reunited Krusty with his father may be one of the best guest voice appearances in Simpsons history. Mason was exceptional, and I can clearly hear his voice as I write this. It may be my favorite Simpsons celebrity voice acting cameo of all time, along with MJ’s. In other words, some celebrity cameos over the years have merely salted and seasoned the plot (in some cases, over-seasoning it). But Mason’s Rabbi K. WAS the plot… an enriching meal, a hearty kosher stew enjoyed with a relaxing glass of kosher wine.
So I’ll probably pick him up in spite of him being a mute. Also, I love chess 😀
I had to rearrange a bit and store the cathedral we got in October to make space for the temple on my Religion Row. Not sure where the cathedral can go now. (The cut-glass cathedral obviously had to be placed between the mini golf course and the hot air balloon, maybe I can find a spot in that area for the stone cathedral as well.)
Pardon my ignorance (or sleepiness), but I didn’t get the reference to the placement between the HAB & MGC. What am I missing? 😊
Well, in the episode I remember the building from, Homer and Marge are having an adventure in the mini golf course after hours. Cops show up, they get in a convenient hot air balloon to escape, and Homer ends up dangling from a rope and getting dragged across the roof of the glass cathedral. One of those sequences of events that I remember pretty well from the hundreds of episodes. It’s referenced in the end quest dialogue for the building.

I need some brownstones. This looks a lot like a synagogue in my neighborhood. There’s a sushi shop on one side that looks sort of like Akira’s on one side and brownstones on the other with a park across the stree with chessboards. I love that area and would love to recreate it. Also need more chessboards.
That sort of design challenge is exactly why I think Springfield Heights has some utility.

I ended up getting both Rabbi Krustofsky and Brother Faith. The temple is a nice addition to my Springfield Heights.
I snatched him up right away. I’ve passed on a lot of stuff lately, but had to have Rabbi K. Plus, I’m a sucker for a character/building combo. 😉
I also like having the religious diversity in my town. Now if only we could get a mosque…

As a freemium player since day 1, I only allow myself to spend donuts on character building combos that are cheap or on donut rebate deals, so I got Brotha Faith and passed on the Rabbi. My donuts are too hard-earned and I’m too poor to drop real life cash on donuts like the ballers. Lol.

The Halloween event and Holiday event were awesome. I just had to buy basically everything offered and spent a ton of donuts. Although I still have just enough donuts left to buy him, I find him rather ‘Meh’, so I’m going to pass for now and save the donuts for something that I like more.
