Showoff Announcement: Places of Worship

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s that time…calling all Springfield designs of Religious Proportions!  We’re getting read to do the next Springfield Showoff featuring your Places of Worship in Springfield!  So prep those towns…because we want to see what you’ve done with your Springfield!

The Next Showoff will feature your areas of Worship…of the Presbylutheran, Catholic, Jewish, Buddhist or Donut variety, so show us what you’ve got!  Send in your areas of worship designs from your Springfield and we’ll be putting up the Showoff Post, featuring your designs, on SATURDAY January 21st 2017.

So grab some screenshots of your town, or finish up those designs…just make sure to send your submissions in by about 8pm EDT Friday January 20th. Can’t wait to see what YOU have come up with.

You can send your designs in two ways…either post a link to the image in the comments on this post or you can email them to us at TSTOAddictsblog@gmail.com.  We won’t be pulling images from anywhere else, so please if you want to be featured either submit in the comments below or email your images to us.

Note: PLEASE try to limit your submissions to only 1-2 of your favorite screenshots.  We like to try and let everyone showoff their town but it becomes difficult when some of you are sending in 7-10 images.  Pick your favorite areas and send them in (or if you stitch photos together, that works too).  We’ll try our best to get EVERYONE in, but please understand that sometimes we miss a photo or two.  If we miss you one week, we’ll try really hard to make sure we get you in the next week.  You’re always welcome to showoff your town, at any time, on our Flickr page.  We know a lot of you have awesome towns that you want to show off, but please try to stick with this week’s theme.  Remember, this isn’t a contest.  There’s nothing to win.  It’s just a fun way to showoff your town and get some design inspiration from your fellow Addicts.  🙂

Do you want to be featured on the next Springfield Showoff?  Post your images  in the Comments below or email us your screenshots at TSTOAddictsblog@gmail.com. We can’t wait to see YOUR designs! (Need help with images, just ask.)

  1. Waiting till after the 18th to submit…we should have the grass and flowers back by then.

  2. I think this might look better in the springtime, but here’s my main Religion Row.

  3. Thanks for the week plus reminder, I just signed up to imgur and will try to send my designs through it but I am still getting used to it though.

  4. bummer, Flickr requires a Yahoo account and i deleted mine (and don’t want to open another).

  5. Do baptisms count? (all that dancing can really take it out of a guy)

  6. My churches and temples are all over the place. I’ve got this ski-town/halloween town in Springfield Heights with the Notre Dame in the middle. The glass catherdral and Temple Beth Springfield are close together, but the Medieval church and the regular one are at different spots too.

I like all the churches though. They are unique buildings, often beautiful as well and they stand out in an area. I like building around the church, placing fountains in front of them or wedding ceremony fields etc.

    • Pick your favorite and grab a screenshot. Doesn’t have to be each and every one shown, just pick your favorite designed one and share it. Mine are all over as well (and some aren’t even really placed yet), but i’ve got one or two that I like their placement and design 🙂

  7. Help please, Simpsons logged me out today, password I’ve had for long time not working. Pressed on forgotten password and won’t open page.
ANY SUGGESTIONS, OR WEB PAGE TO GO TO CHANGE PASSWORD PLEASE. Any help would be very much appreciated. Been playing for over three years and miss be able to get in to play.
    Many thanks in advance.
    Margaret.

  8. FYI to the TSTO guys and gals – While reading this post, I have been redirected to a fake “URGENT CHROME UPDATE” page which automatically tries to download a zip or bat file to your comp. Looking at the thread on the Google Chrome Help forum: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/chrome/HcXgFFaO9WU the prevailing theory is infected ads, that even with an adblocker running, can sometimes still get an ad by.

I haven’t gotten it to happen again, to check if it was some specific ad related to this post or just to the site in general, but I figured I’d let y’all know in case anyone else mentions this. Y’all don’t have to publish this, I know I’m not on the auto-accepted comment list. I just wanted to let y’all know.

    Great 👍 idea, thanks.
I’m trying to develop a list of “churches “, what I have so far is..
    First Church of Springfield
    Springfield Buddhist Temple
    Temple Beth Springfield
    Cut Glass Cathedral
    Impulse Wedding Chapel
    Shotgun Petes
    Bother Faith Van
    And ~~~
    Stonecutter Lodge ?

    Am I missing anything?

    • The First Church of Lard Lad and the Medieval Cathedral.

    • Also, the mission at the town square from the Wild West update.

    • a few more come to mind (some might be a bit far-fetched):

      – Sunken Temple
      – Springfield Henge
      – Notre Dame of Springfield
      – First Church of Lard Lad

plus the Western Town Plaza features an old west church.

      Thanks, all.
I’d forgotten about the Midieval Cathedral &I’m don’t have either
Note Dame nor Lard Lad Church.
But the rest are beginning to form a Churchy Joe neighborhood, alongside my casinos, where some folks spend time “worshipping ” and praying.

    • Lance Murdock visits the main Kwik-e-Mart on his task to Make Peace With A God. I think Apu set up a little Hindu temple in the back room.
