First time poster here. I just have a question, I have googled it with no results. I’m level 111 and I’ve noticed that there are many quests that are listed under my ‘characters’ and ‘buildings’ section in the store that are locked. Im just wondering how to access these? Also I recently got the Old Jewish Man and the Overpass diner and I am only able to do the 24 hour job with him. All his other jobs are blacked out. Just wondering if anyone could explain this to me.

Welcome to the blog. Not sure I can answer all of this for you. Sometimes you have to have a character or building to unlock a task. I am sure more experienced contributors here can answer your questions. Enjoy the game.

You can’t just skip the Krustyland questlines….you need to compete those to progress through the game levels (i’m not talking about your XP level). And some items and tasks stay locked grill to reach certain game levels and get certain characters/items. The best thing to do is to check the Walkthroughs area of this site and make sure to compete any level questlines, preferably in order.

I agree with what Sandra said. Finish up Krustyland and you’ll be good to go.

Same thing happened to me. The quest line for the building won’t start until another quest line prompts it. I’m trying to remember which one it was but it was awhile ago and I can’t remember. I did a google search and found either Murdoch or Declan’s quest lines needs to be completed…I remember it took awhile for my questline to activate. It was almost as though I was able to buy the building too early. Like maybe level number wise I was there but not content wise? Anywho, have no fear, it will activate eventually!!
You HAVE to finish all the level 60 tasks.
Is anyone else just really just over this game? I’ve been playing everyday for almost 4 years and I think I’m finally done. After a couple sub-par events (“Xmas 2016”. . . Cough, cough), TSTO has just lost its luster. I miss things like actually having to earn money to buy new buildings and characters; when you could play at your own pace. Now, all progress is made through feverishly logging in every four hours during monotonous events. Speaking of events, does anyone miss the group prizes? It made the game really feel like a community. Well, sorry to be a Debbie Downer. It was fun while it lasted.
Ryan, I too have been a little despondent over the events, (or lack of), lately. I’m just trying to think positive & work on my town, hoping today is the day that they drop the Valentine’s Day event on us😁😁 It needs to be a great event so we can get out of our slump (listening EA?). Keeping my fingers & toes crossed 😂 I would like to be able to get back to some happy tapping😊😊😊
Can’t remember how I get more Homerlayas characters. It’s been so long since the last one. My cash stash is quite large as well as multiple level ups (over 400 level), but no new Simpsons for my mountain range. What should I be doing to receive Marge and Maggie? Thanks.
Homerlayas figures are awarded as follows:
Homer – level 60
Lisa – level 138
Bart – level 223
Marge – level 419
Maggie – level 742
Did you search? If you look for Homerlayas in the “Looking for something” search box, I bet there is a post on the end of the levels in which there is a discussion of the levels you need to obtain all the Simpsons in the Homerlayas.
Was sorta planning a “northern borders” ish holiday, years in the making. Places like Greenland, Alaska, Iceland, Siberia, Nepal… etc. Always had in the back of mind places such as Sweden, Norway, Finland…
I like lack of civilization, lack of people and lots of cold.
I prefer Iceland. Everywhere you go there is a hot tub, warm river/lake. SO RELAXING 😎

Steam / sauna over hot tub. Just the whole stewing in your (hopefully no one elses 🙂 own juices, not a big fan…
All the hot tubs have very beautiful natural scenery, because they are in the open air. The only thing you have watch for is the temperature of the water. Sometimes is is boiling hot, but there always is a thermometer and cold water to reach the temperature you like.
Does anyone know when the snow leaves our towns? I have photosensitive epelipsy so I haven’t really been playing a lot since the snow came in and ruined the game for me. I always have my phone on the darkest setting, and adjusted the white balance and colors. When I browse the web it’s no problem because I just invert colors but that isn’t convenient for the game. I can’t wait till this snow is gone or I wish EA would atleast give us the option to melt our snow. Even with my white balance down the game blinds me.

Not at present. The last monorail station was the North Pole Station, which costed donuts. I rEAlly would like an other station!

Apologies to neighbourinos if you’re having challenges, er, tapping me, I’ve been looking at the glass half full and have been redesigning after recent involuntary land acquisitions.
I’ve been trying to SIMpsonCITY my lil’ neck of the woods as much as possible, “residential/commercial/industrial” sorta thing, with kinda specific areas.
Recent events have been posing serious design challenges, with the volume of content (really nota complaint, not in the slightest, and now having finally finished all Inspirationals for the first time in 3 and a half years have been saving money! ).
After mild head-banging/rear-end-kicking I’ve managed to finally shuffle an industrial district away from SPRINGcityFIELD central.
Ooh, I’m gonna go have a look in a bit to see what you’ve. I always enjoy visiting your town. 🙂

The aim at the moment is to try and consolidate my junky bits into one area, and the industrially bits in another, without having to buy too much land 🙂

I bought a couple of strips, er, North I suppose, just at the top corner of my Springtania, hoping to “move and rearrange”, but forgot that if I moved the Monsarcastic complex up, the main part of my industry, I’d lose the concrete under the main round building. I had done this once before after moving the purpleish car off the road. Was kicking myself for weeks after that 🙁

Does anyone use Bluestacks to access their Springfield cross-platform? I’m curious about trying an Apple iOS + Windows PC but I don’t want to risk any Terms of Service violations.. Not ill intent, just wanna see my Springfield bigger than 4.7″… Any replies appreciated!
You’re missing the point about multiple Kwik-E-Marts. It has to do with converting game cash into donuts, aka KEM farming.
I want an easier way to save my town to a graphic — this do-2-zillion-screen-grabs-and-stitch-them-together is a pain. It seems like something EA could do relatively easily, since the game has the town in memory (it seems).
I agree – would be great if we could just zoom out a little further, at least!
I really wish they’d give Krustyland a little love.

Since I started visiting other Springfields, i’ve seen the DIE(T) sign a lot. Did it come from an event or can you buy it? I love that joke.
It was a prize during Halloween 2014. I’d love to see it come back but it certainly would be premium.

I thought I was brilliant and bought 15 Kwik E Marts so I could play the scratch game a bunch more and take in some cash. Alas… it doesn’t work that way.
Has anyone else made this mistake?
I see some people will move from brown houses to Kwik-E-Mart-farming but that’s just one reason why some many people have farmed that store. I feel there should only be one “main” store in a prime spot, especially if you’re going for any type of canonical version of Springfield. Only one store can have the different facades/decorations. Then if you need to fill space or want a second or third for convenience sake across the map they can work well that way. Otherwise you have a lot of flashy meaningless signs bobbing together..

I do… it’s just a big ship. I have it lined up with Fort Springfield so I like it but it’s an expensive way for a bonus.

You may see it soon in my town 😄. I saved a bunch of donuts to spend on Christmas and then…well…didn’t. Was really happy with the synagogue, but was hoping for a ‘wowza’ item over the holidays…obviously, I still have all the extra sprinklies.
My next makeover is going to be 🦑 Port (never really had a plan there)…will probably store all of it and start over, beginning with places for all the cool ships ⛵️(Mayflower!) …then move all my kid’s activities and theaters out there.
Some of my neighbors have such great ideas👏…may have to do a little Squidport scouting…

I’ve skimmed through but I can’t find an answer anywhere so sorry if I missed it…
I had the ice princess martin from the year it came out but didn’t have the ice palace. I had a task over this Christmas event that involved buying the ice palace, which I didn’t, and was hoping the quest would go away after the event and yet I still have it in my taskbar even now. I can’t continue with it and wouldn’t buy the palace anyway but is there any way to get rid of this task?

I liked the episode a lot! A few things could have been done better, like Marge’s storyline, and honestly, I’m unclear how Mr. Burns got all his stuff back – like did J-G just give it back or what? Anyhoo, the episode tie-in was beyond lame, but I’m going to go out on a limb and predict that they wanted everyone to have the mansion because it’s going to kick off an entire event at some point that’s based around this episode. It did take place over an entire summer, after all, and there were lots of new buildings and characters that could be drawn from. I think it has potential, even if they are starting to create things just for the sake of keeping the game / show going. I’m good with that! Still annoyed at how hard we had to work to upgrade the mansion though. I think it would have been cool if new players got the basic mansion, but still had to grind through some kind of tasks to upgrade it.
I guess we’ll see it in about 10 years time in Australia.😥
I wonder how it would be playing The Simpsons Tapped Out on the iPhone 7. I think it would be really realistic and vivid because of the Retina HD Display.
I just got the 7 plus and in my opinion, it’s not a noticeable difference in color/contrast from my old device which was an HTC One, circa 2013.
I do like the larger screen size for seeing more details of the game when I zoom in, though. As well as the speedy neighbor visits and processing time if I happen to click “go to” to jump to a certain character or building. But the colors and display seem virtually indistinguishable.
Playing on an iPhone 7 is awesome.

After the Christmas Craptacular that was the Family Guy event, I decided to get back into playing TSTO. Within about two weeks I’d completed the Heretic Prize Train and the initial Monorail and Springfield Heights quests, but gosh darnit if Homer isn’t holding up 12 or so separate quests right now, each with 12-36 hour tasks.
Homer has a 36-hour task? What is it? I don’t remember seeing any tasks that are more than 24-hour ones, but maybe I’m forgetting a questline task that I must have done a long while back….now you’ve got me curious!
I think the donut torture device is 1.5 days but I’m not 100% sure, as it’s been ages since I’ve used it. It has a cool animation but I prefer shorter tasks (especially for Homer).
Oh, yeah…I think you might be right about that! I don’t use any of the 24-hour or longer tasks, which is a shame, because there are some good 24-hour tasks.
Homer has a 32-hour job in the Boxer Drederick Tatum questline. I finally broke down and bought Drederick Tatum last week with some extra doughnuts I had. His questline was rather short, so I pulled his boxing skin out of storage, and this morning, I was given the 32-hour task for Homer. That’s a long time for Homer to be unavailable, especially with a new event looming. Sigh.
Store and replace Springfield Colosseum should stop the task.
