Where Did THAT Come From – Hamburger Heaven

In our silly lil game, we sometimes see things pop in that we have no clue as to their Origin. They seem familiar, but we just can’t pinpoint from where. So that is why we decided to make a fun lil reminder out of it. To let you know just Where Did THAT Come From?

Woo hoo! A new mini-event is upon us and boy howdy is it fun so far. It’s all about Homer celebrating all religions in an attempt to rest every day. Pretty cool in my humble opinion. This batch of new stuff brings lots of items and that’s where I come in. I know everyone doesn’t have the same knowledge of the Best. Show. Ever. so it’s time to dive into the TV series and find this new item. This post takes a look at Hamburger Heaven, the 5th goody that can be earned by tapa-tapa-tapping and earning karmic pennies.

“Million Dollar Abie” (S17:E16)

So I always think of this episode as the Springfield almost gets an NFL team episode where Grampa attempts euthanasia by Die-Pod and then becomes a matador but it also has our new building in it. It’s the second event in that last sentence which leads us there. In a scene straight out of Soylent Green, Grampa is ready to leave this plane of existence to the sounds of the Glenn Miller Orchestra while watching cops beat up hippies.

I guess we all know Gramps doesn’t kick the bucket (poor Fred Kinicky wasn’t so lucky) but initially he doesn’t know he’s not dead. His procedure is interrupted after voters overturn the assisted suicide law and Wiggum arrests the doctor but Grampa thinks he’d dead and has never felt so alive. While he runs around town in his smock wondering if he’s in heaven or hell, he passes none other than Hamburger Heaven.

“That’s odd. You think they’d come back as the cows.”

And that’s it. A real quick blip that has now made into our game. This is a building I’ve always thought would be a neat addition to the game. I even saved an image of it back when I wrote a whole post about Toreador Grampa. Now it’s in the game and I wonder how EA reads my mind. While I fashion one of Alissa’s tin foil hats, sound off with your own thoughts. Better to have them written down than eavesdropped by a corporation. Sound off and happy tapping friends.
