Winter 2016, Homer the Heretic and the Conform-O-Meter

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Now that we’re waiting for the snow to be removed from our Springfield’s, I thought it would be a good time to take a look back at the Conform-O-Meter impact for both the Winter Event and Homer the Heretic. Both events brought bunch of new and old items to our Springfield’s (mostly old), so let’s take a look at how these items impact our Conform-O-Meter…

The Conform-O-Meter is an important part of Tapped-Out because it provides you with a bonus boost in your cash and  XP from everything you collect in the game.  When you achieve a 5-Star Town (it’s max rating) you will receive a 5% bonus on all money and XP collected in your town.  If you missed the previous Conform-O-Meter posts check here for the basics and here for how many points you’ll need to reach 5 stars.

While the Winter & Homer the Heretic events brought no changes to the Conform-O-Meter requirements, it did bring a bunch of buildings and decorations.  So let’s take a look at how all of the new “goodies” impact our rating:

    So I didn’t get the ice palace thing which means I couldn’t do the Martin task with it. I was hoping the task would go away with the update. It hasn’t. Do you know if it will or is that a question for EA?

    Why is the snow still here?!?! Aaarrrgghhhh!!! I dislike it very much and it’s making it very hard to redesign my town

      It varies. Sometimes it’s just a matter of how many tasks you currently have open and their relevancy to what’s going on in the game.

    I have tried over and over to clear the singing stones. Homer is free and still nothing. Please help, how do I clear the stones?

    I use the time between events to restock my game cash reserves and some reshuffle of buildings. So I fine with this pause.

    Surprising that none of the Homer the Heretic items increase righteousness.

    So funny that we had (sorta) back-to-back religious-themed events, and only one item that gives Righteousness.

    Of course, Righteousness is the only thing I don’t have at 5 stars. Lol @ me. (I of course scooped up the Nativity Scene immediately.)

    Kinda nice event, but dragged out too long, even with being basically two events. I liked the pagan approach after multiple Christmas events.

    I hope that an appstore update hits soon, taking the snow and especially the annoying unfinished Nerd Princess questline with it. I’d be fine with a lull now, maybe one week or so, before another event hits.
