Springfield Showoff: Places of Worship

As we sit here frakkin files, pulling pics, and typing a million words a minute to get our readers the latest updates and information…we find ourselves sometimes forgetting to stop and enjoy our own games. More so our neighboreenos. So we try to make it a point to hop in n out of the towns now and then to see what cool things YOU are up to. So we have decided we want to continue to focus more attention (as if we don’t already 😛 ) on YOU…our readers. Time to time we will be peaking into your towns, checking our Flickr, and also the posts in the comments below to see what cool ideas and designs YOU have come up with to make your towns unique and…well…YOU. So here is YOUR chance to show off all your hard work, time, donuts & in game cash spent. Send us your work, no matter how big or small. Brag about it to the world. We want you to. (That and Bunny loves to see other designs and get inspiration from it.) Then keep your eyes posted to Addicts to see if YOU end up on our “SPRINGFIELD SHOWOFF”.

Well the snow has finally melted in Springfield and all events are currently over.  So I thought now would be a good time for another Springfield Showoff!  This time featuring your Places of Worship designs, whether from Homer the Heretic, Halloween, Springfield game play or another update. 1. Great designs guys! Ebron, yours was great, but I see them every day so nothing new there. I think NotNoMore’s were my favorite out of this group. Both are very nicely designed sections. Nice decorations surrounding the buildings.

  2. Did anyone else notice the guillotine in the background of 435bmc’s picture with Notre Dame? Very clever placement…such a subtle joke….👍.
Jmoss…I like the use of water near your churches, I am trying to work more water into all areas of my town, too.
I love the ying/yang shrubs by nellypuk and the cross arrangement with the nativity by notnomore (both ideas I will try to steal in some capacity…I am a shameless idea theif).👀
Also, 101raynor’s creation of the wedding aisle is a lovely idea 😊.

  3. DrTyler is always a favorite, njutd and Enron as well. I really enjoyed Nellypuk’s design she made out of plants very clever!

    • Thanks for the compliment. I have to be honest I saw a similar design in someone else’s town years ago and took inspiration from that. I don’t think I am neighbours with them anymore (or they have got rid of the design?) so I can’t credit them.
Also I am a middle aged male – but given the peaceful marches this weekend I am happy to be a she in solidarity with my sisters for the weekend! 😄

      • Oh I’m so sorry! I assumed because I took the name “Nelly” I always forget more men play than women lol. Awe such a good sport though 😀 Sorry I took forever to reply but my heart failure has been worsening so it’s even harder to play let alone make it to this site. I love drawing inspiration from towns too mine never comes close.. I just like looking at pretty things 🙂

  4. I like the Yin yang pattern by Nelly and the ray of light on the cross by notnomore. Overall lovely designs from everyone

  5. Some of them are really good.
I misunderstood the brief, I thought it meant multiple places of worship not just individual ones.
Interesting that some people think a building on a rectangle of grass is worth submitting to a show-off post…

  6. Beautiful designs! I love the fact that everyone can do something different with the same buildings…its what makes tsto so special 🙂

  7. Thanks, you have one of my favorite towns, and this is my favorite section…

  8. Great job everyone!

  9. Wow! Some beautiful designs. Love the fountains and uses of hedges some designs have used 😃.
There really is an array of beautiful towns out there.

  10. Wow! Great designs. A lot of thought and time put into them. Well done, guys.😊

  11. I seriously dig Ebron’s setup (not just because he’s my neighbor) and njutd put together an awesome area as well.
I should have waited until the snow melted to screenshot mine. Oh well.
