Lunar New Year and the Conform-O-Meter

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

The Lunar New Year event is just about over so I thought it would be a good time to take a look at how all of the Chinese New Year inspired items impact the Conform-O-Meter.  As this event brought several new decorations to Springfield, so let’s take a look at how these items impact our Conform-O-Meter…

The Conform-O-Meter is an important part of Tapped-Out because it provides you with a bonus boost in your cash and  XP from everything you collect in the game.  When you achieve a 5-Star Town (it’s max rating) you will receive a 5% bonus on all money and XP collected in your town.  If you missed the previous Conform-O-Meter posts check here for the basics and here for how many points you’ll need to reach 5 stars.

While the Lunar New Year event brought no changes to the Conform-O-Meter requirements, it did bring a bunch of decorations.  So let’s take a look at how all of the new “goodies” impact our rating:

  1. On my ipad, there’s a Simpson’s update available in the App store. I clicked on it but my game opens as usual. Mind you I added a new neighbor today, in their Springfield a section of the mountains has disappeared separating Springfield Heights from the rest of the town. The person has a road going directly into Springfield Heights. Maybe this person has hacked the game in some dort of way. I tried to see if I could remove some of the mountains in my Springfield but there’s no interaction, only the Monorail entrance and the Simpson Mountain Range can be edited.

    • It’s possible that it’s my town. And no, no hack. It was the tunnel glitch from when they were first introduced. When you placed the second tunnel next to the first and stored them it would delete the mountains.

    • I haven’t seen this and cannot replicate it in my Springfield either. Definitely curious to find out what’s going on.

    • There was a glitch a few months ago where you could do that with the mountain. Long since patched though.

  2. just want a damn update and something to do getting bored

  3. I will admit, I’m kind of tired of decorations/items that only ever seem to hit vanity. It’s already the easiest rating to max out. 6 of the 10 items we picked up during the lunar new year event were vanity items. It would be nice if they added items for consumerism, just as a change.

  4. I got the dragons and the junk. I kind of regret getting the junk as it just sits there and doesn’t really fit in with anything else by my shoreline.

    • Put your the Springfield Dump on your shore line. Now you can use your junk as a junk junk to transport your junk to your junk yard. Does this make sense to you or is this a junk reason not to put your junk there to transport your junk with the junk junk to your junk yard.
Oh boy, I think, I’m rambling. I had better hit the sack to get some sleep 😴
