Pack those bags and grab your boarding passes because it’s time to go Around the World with The Simpsons! The Around the World Event is in full swing in our pocket-sized Springfields and that can only mean one thing….all new prize tracks to work our way through!
This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Act containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the Third Act you’re tasked with collecting Brazilian Pins () to unlock each prize!
The second Act 3 Prize awarded at 11,035 is the Vicious Monkeys, because this is as close as Brooders is going to get to Zombie Pirate Monkeys….
So let’s take a closer look at this second prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…
4:45pm: Some of you are reporting you’re back in. Some are still out. I’m one of those who still can’t get into the game…but hopefully we’ll all be in shortly.
4:30pm ET From AWS:
Update at 1:12 PM PST: S3 object retrieval, listing and deletion are fully recovered now. We are still working to recover normal operations for adding new objects to S3.
Update at 12:52 PM PST: We are seeing recovery for S3 object retrievals, listing and deletions. We continue to work on recovery for adding new objects to S3 and expect to start seeing improved error rates within the hour.
3:45pm ET: I wasn’t clear in my post below, cause I honestly didn’t think it was too important, this is Amazon Web Services that’s down (East Coast Server). EA (and many, many, MANY other companies) utilize AWS. So this outage has little to do with EA.
You can check out this article: https://techcrunch.com/2017/02/28/amazon-aws-s3-outage-is-breaking-things-for-a-lot-of-websites-and-apps/
You can also check AWS Dashboard for updates here: https://status.aws.amazon.com/
Or their Twitter Feed @AWSCloud . I’ll try to update this post with updated tweets from them as I see them. The latest from about 3pm Eastern Time:
For S3, we believe we understand root cause and are working hard at repairing. Future updates across all services will be on dashboard.
Bringing back an Addicts classic…with fond memories of Cguy:
They’re up They’re down, They’re down and up and down down, down, down up, up, up, The EA Distraction Show!
Admitedly the server outages are A LOT better than they were 3 years ago, BUT it’s still fun to bring back a classic Addicts song 😉
You may be seeing this in TSTO right now…
Servers are down for many…
It appears it’s an issue with the East Coast servers (which impact more than just the East Coast), from what I’m gathering. Hopefully they’re up soon…
In the meantime here are a few fun riddles to keep you entertained:
1) Why is this right?
2) Homer has with him Baby Maggie, his dog, and a jar of poisons that look like delicious candy. (Homer: Oh, why did I take my baby and my dog with me when I went to buy poison! And why do the poison has to look so delicious!?) He needs to get all three across the river. He can only take one of them at a time in his rowboat. He can’t leave Maggie with the poison. He can’t leave the dog with Maggie. He CAN leave the dog with the Poison. How does he do this?
3) Wednesday, Lenny and Carl went to a restaurant and ate dinner. When they were done they paid for the food and left. But Lenny and Carl didn’t pay for the food. Who did?

In our silly lil game, we sometimes see things pop in that we have no clue as to their Origin. They seem familiar, but we just can’t pinpoint from where. So that is why we decided to make a fun lil reminder out of it. To let you know just Where Did THAT Come From?

It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.
So, here is your Open Thread…..
No new Simpsons this week…will you be catching up on old episodes from their travels around the world instead?
Act 3 started last Friday, what are your thoughts on the Brazil act so far? How are you doing with the prize track so far?
Addicts Live was yesterday…did you check out all the laughs and hijinks from the show? You can check out the replay here if you missed any of it.
Hey hey friends! So after a bit of a break, The Simpsons is back with new episodes and the wait for more new hilarity is over. Since the show is back, so am I and it’s time for another episode recap for y’all. One of the many features we like to have on this site is recaps of new Simpsons episodes for all our friends who can’t watch them immediately or like our silly reviews of them. I love when there are new episodes of the Best. Show. Ever. on TV and it’s my privilege to not only watch new episodes, which I would do with or without this awesome site, but then break them down for all of you. I stuck to the stream of consciousness format for this. Basically I watch the episode once for my enjoyment and then a couple more times to catch as much as I can while jotting down notes. Without further ado… here’s my thoughts on Season 28, Episode 15: The Cad and the Hat.
For those viewing a little before noon, sit tight and it’ll show up in the video below shortly. For those viewing during the live stream, just hit play and you’ll get tuned it. You also have the ability to go back (rewind) in case you missed something. 🙂 And for those joining after the live stream, you can view the recording of the video right here.
No matter how, or when, you’re viewing thanks for watching and we hope you have fun!
In this episode we’ll discuss the Around the World Event as it comes to a close, things we would do differently if we ran this event, some other fun theories and thoughts and of course we’ll be fielding your questions! So join us live for all the fun!
Remember, this is meant to be interactive. So ask your questions, give us your opinions and share your thoughts in the comments below..and we’ll read what we can live! 🙂
Show Notes:
Give your rating for the Around the World Event, and we’ll share the results later in the show…as well as our thoughts:
