As we sit here frakkin files, pulling pics, and typing a million words a minute to get our readers the latest updates and information…we find ourselves sometimes forgetting to stop and enjoy our own games. More so our neighboreenos. So we try to make it a point to hop in n out of the towns now and then to see what cool things YOU are up to. So we have decided we want to continue to focus more attention (as if we don’t already 😛 ) on YOU…our readers. Time to time we will be peaking into your towns, checking our Flickr, and also the posts in the comments below to see what cool ideas and designs YOU have come up with to make your towns unique and…well…YOU. So here is YOUR chance to show off all your hard work, time, donuts & in game cash spent. Send us your work, no matter how big or small. Brag about it to the world. We want you to. We’ve finally got a little culture in Springfield!  While we’re knee deep in the Around the World Event right now, just before that hit we were gifted with a fun Lunar New Year mini event.  So I thought now would be a good time for another Springfield Showoff!  This time featuring your Lunar New Year designs,as it can always be a little intimidating and frustrating trying to figure out just where to put all this stuff…so who better to turn to than our fellow Addicts? And as always you guys came through big time!  You guys have some great designs and ideas so let’s take a look:

Nice job, one and all! So far I havn’t quite figured out how to combine the lunar new year stuff to maximum effect, but I feel so much more inspired since the travel event started. Have been pulling together things from all over town to make my airport and french quarter, and a chinese corner is next. I’ll submit it again for the next show-off.
Now if I only knew what to do with all the holes my redecorating spree left all over Springfield…

I love the oriental park by gaulie…corbe, a nice color scheme and use of the pond…jerry, the use of fountains is great with the dragons…flawfree, finally a good use for all those bonsai!

I forgot to get mine in but here is a link, work stopped when the new update hit and I think China and Japan are going to merge into a big Asialand section in my town (after all this event is a bout building tourist attractions rather than geographical accuracy!

I love my town and although a freemium player, I think I have some loverly designs but HELP, i dont know how to take images using my i pad mini.

Not sure if it’s the same on the mini but on my iPad it’s pressing the power and the home button at the same time to take a screen shot. I then use Flickr to share. ( or ask Siri, that’s what I had to do!)
To take a screen shot – wait till the game info disappears off your screen (about 10 seconds usually)…Press the power button and the home button at the same time (there will be a flash and a shutter sound)…You will find the picture in your “photos” under the heading “Screenshots”…have fun!
A little off topic. Anyone else not having Kamico show up in flight tasks. The description in the shop said event tasks/helps with event. I got her for that and now she doesn’t help with the event . . . Pissed I spent the donuts. Any help or clarification. I’m thinking that when they fixed the flight timer, they screwed up her tasks.
Try to send on job one of the character that in your flight list – your list should update, repeat until you see Kumico.
Or send all characters (manually) on the jobs exept Kumico and another four, that way this four characters and Kumico be in your list.
She will show in tasks, if she is free when new tasks at the airport are created. So keep her free and she definitely will have a “priority” (the game draws characters for the tasks randomly from the free character pool, but from my observations Kumiko, if she is free, will always get one). Also, keep her in the Sailor Moon costume, I’m not sure if this is required, but I do that.

Thanks for the nice words Sandra…of course, everything has been moved around since then…pulled a lot of tappables over to SH with the Airport, which meant moving other stuff to fill in, and so on, and so on…you know how it goes…always a new town…
