It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

No new Simpsons this week, still a few weeks until a new episode airs. BUT it is Superbowl Sunday! So check out the big game, if you can, on FOX tonight.
An all new episode of Addicts Live aired yesterday, have you checked it out yet? We featured some fun info about the Around the World event & even got into a little heated discussion about the Superbowl.

Although I’m German, I play the English version of the game, while my fiancé plays the German translation. Boy do they drop the ball on that one. They simply translate word-by-word, no matter if it works in the other language or not.
Best example: Yesterday for Norberts task they had “They sprout in Western Europe”. Okay, as someone who speaks English I spot Brussels, put one and one together and come up with something other than eleven.
But how is a German supposed to find that out? Especially since with Nantes, France, there was a second Western European city on offer. Brussel sprouts in German are called Rosenkohl, which translates to “Rose cabbage”. Guess for users of foreign language versions some tasks seem to be more like a game of chance.
I know we have a big event happening right now, but I miss the lively open thread!

Random question: what’s your biggest item you regret NOT purchasing when you had the chance?
(ESPECIALLY the silly/useless items that you were being “smart” about..)
I think mine is big butt skinner balloon.. I know, I know! But(t) very envious when I see it in other towns.
I’m really bad about buying everything then later having buyers regret. Now that I’m on disability, that has to stop. Bad habits are hard to break. Sigh.

I am getting really tired of accidentally vandalizing my neighbors. I wish EA would have made a distinction between tapping pins and vandalizing buildings. I apologize to the neighbors I’ve vandalized. I haven’t done it on purpose. I’ve been a lot more forgiving about being vandalized as a result. I will do my best not to vandalize in the future.
Quick note to thank my neighbors that have been visiting – my phone has been almost completely broken for a few days. Trying to get it repaired this afternoon. I appreciate the visits – I can only log onto TSTO for maybe 2 minutes at a time, twice a day.. I’ll be back soon.

Hey Everybody, a quick note to apologize to my neighbors for my accidental vandalism this morning😟. Think only happened a couple of times, but still……not my normal behavior. Was drinking my coffee guess I wasn’t fully awake yet. Feel free to vandalize back.

With the gracious help from my neighbor’s the 3rd virus was unlocked in my Springfield. If thing’s keep up the last 2 should be unlocked by end of next week.
Heads up peeps, either the non-resetting timer bug is back, or it wasn’t fixed for when all prizes for the act were awarded. Got the two guys today, and just now I had to do the third daily task for the suitcase. Had all my characters not on tasks, selected the right one for the topic, then two more. Waited for the timer to count down, went to 0, and stayed there until I closed out and went back in…now waiting another 20 minutes to see the outcome.
Update: Waited the 20 minutes (after the first time of closing out and going back in my game to force the reset) and after the 20 minutes, could send someone on the trip. then it only reset to 2 minutes and I was able to send the last person once the 2 minutes ended.
Is it just me or is anyone else appreciating Mr Sparkle is coming !?!? (Oddball Collection). I was going to try my luck on a Valentines Box but now I’m going to hold out.

Till today the counter for where your neighbors were who had badges was at zero, and did not bother me however saw a download to the game this morning when I logged in,not sure if that was a fix & now can see where my neighbors are. Just a update
Well as a Freemium player I have the globe & should finish the French prize track first thing tomorrow. On the last level of the virus task, although 1000 will take a while.
Hopefully the rest of you guys should be ok to get everything you want.
Looking forward to the second part of the event & for me this has been the best update so far ( started playing April 16 ).

You know what i would like to see instead of people like myself moaning about not having enough land! That when you have purchased all existing land or sea, that new land automatically is triggered for purchase instead.

I just finished my monorail tasks for the week. I have gotten a total of four normal length straight pieces in the last two weeks out of 32 total pieces. This is extremely frustrating.
It has always been this way.
I apologize if this has been asked before; I searched and could not find anything related. I have wondered how you (Alissa, Bunny, etc.) get donuts to speed up time in order to do the write-ups. I’m assuming you use donuts to speed up the process, but does EA provide you with unlimited donuts? I hear you referring to your A and B games, so I always just figured that you must have unlimited free donuts in one and you play normally in the other. Just curious…
Nope, I pay for them. Just like you guys do. Lots of money each month spent to speed up questlines and game play.
The_Grey415: I just tagged your Moe’s by accident. So sorry! I was racing through my morning neighbor tasks and clearly needed to slow down. I did the same thing to a different neighbor on day one or two. I can’t remember which neighbor, but I apologize to you too! I promise to slow down! Please just know it was not intentional!
I noticed that if visiting neighbours and you tap the Reindeer Burger Truck it has dead fish on it with stink lines coming from them.
I just sent Maggie to Iran all by herself. I feel a little bit guilty about it

Same here. She will never see the light of day in my town! Frankly I never would have noticed that because I so rarely zoom in. Did wonder why the “marble” looked weird but now I know lol!
So i’m not sure about anyone else but it really ticks me off that all premium characters sent on Norbit’s Adventure tasks pay at the non premium rate, other than Kumiko. And that’s only because EA want us to spend donuts to buy her. You start to wonder what the point of buying all these premium characters are if they’re going to only rewards standard character rates. Not to mention that once again, we have only a couple of decorations to buy with in-game cash – a bike and the airplane cones. Every other item is a donut spend. Not to mention that at up to $3million a square of land it’s evident that we are only earning money in our towns so we can afford to expand, not like the old times when we’d have characters and buildings to purchase with each level update.
When the event is over Kumiko will make mad cash money and look cool doing it. We win big decorations now and craft the things that are the “icing” so to speak. You can still buy the basics with cash (fences, trees, hedges). The money is basically for whatever farming method you prefer. You want decorations, play all the time. You have to be creative with whats available tho. You cant wait for EA to design large chucks of your town for you. A well placed bike or cone can really make a design pop. Thats the point. Use one of your free land token on that 3 million square. It will save you 3 million. You can buy most of the middle of the first top row with that. You can also save 15% by switching car insurance.

I finally have a building that can go over roads! The Effel Tower can straddle a road. I don’t know if anyone has posted it already or if it can go over the river, but I thought I’d put it out there.
