Overnight you may have noticed some new (and old) Valentine’s Day items make their way into our TSTO stores, so let’s take a look at today’s “goodies”…
So jumping off of last week’s Date Night Mystery Box, EA has released some new items into our games, as well as brought back some old items. First, on the new side…
When you launch your game today you’ll notice some dialogue from Apu and Marge:
Apu: Ah, Valentine’s Day. My favorite American holiday of the year.
Marge: Ooh, I’ve never met a romatic Kwik-E-Mart manager.
Apu: And you haven’t now. I just enjoy overcharging husbands trying to buy last-minute boxes of chocolate for their wives. I’m doing so well I’ve completely run out of candy.
Gil: Perhaps I can be of assistance?
And naturally you’ll find Gil waving his arms like he just don’t care…
When you tap on him you’ll see….
Gil: Ol’ Gil has connections in the candy industry. I worked in the sugar factory production line, keeping that candy coming, right alongside a young lady called Betty.
Cletus: Sugar factory? You must mean my cousin, Dia-Betty!
Gil: Is she still a delicate filly, slender as a railing?
Cletus: Well, she’s eaten a few railings.
And this will launch the new Gil Deal…
For 225 Donuts you can get Dia-Betty, the Sugar Factory & 650 Sky Credits…
If you refuse the deal, you’ll see:
Cletus: Guess we’ll be missing Dia-Betty this Valentine’s Day. And she’s not easy to miss!
Gil: Another disappointment! But I found a candy heart in a storm drain, so at least I’ll be eating dinner.
And if you accept the deal, you’ll see:
Cletus: Dia-Betty, the sugar factory where you used to work is back.

I’ve been waiting for a long time for Dia-Betty to be in the game so I jumped in the deal.
And I was really happy till I noticed that she doesn’t have any outdoor tasks which really sucks…
I’m still doing her questline and hopefully an outdoor task will show up.
But when you buy a Premium Character you expect it to at least be voiced. have an outdoor task or.both.

Thank you, after I finished most of her questline the two outdoor tasks suddenly got icons that show they are outdoor tasks,
I bought Hungry Hun right away, mainly because I was waiting for an offer on him to help out with the Monorail tasks, and at a price of 120 donuts (after rebate) for Hungry Hun, Uter, and Chocolate Chapel, you don’t really need a SIB from Alissa (who I guess is super busy due to many requests for SIB) to know this is one of the best premium buys!
Just note that you need to have 160 donuts (not 120) to take up the offer, then the rebate of 40 donuts will be refunded!
Same here. This is arguably the best premium rebate since the Frink+Lab+Ladybot one. I snapped it up without hesitation as well, so now I have Dewey and Uter for my monorail tasks.
I’ll wait for the event to hit Act 2 to see how much are the new items first before deciding if I want to spend on a few more V-Day mystery boxes. There’s still 4 out of 7 items in there that I want, with Aztec Theater and Der Krazy Kraut at the top of the list, but I really don’t care for the other 3 items.
Have you verified that Uter definitely still helps with recycling? I haven’t seen him listed as a premium worker at the recycling plants in quite a while. I wondered if he didn’t pass the company physical and was fired… I’d like to know for sure before spending my donut stash.
Yes – Uter recycles plastic and collects trash at the premium rate (75), too.
I just used Uter yesterday for recycling 😊

Unrelated question. I have 2 apus apocalypse jeep in storage but when I try to place it it says “item is already built”and I can’t use it. Any ideas?
In my B-game, the deal changed to Duff Gardens. If only I had 145 donuts, I’d try to purchase it. ( I’m at level 73. The Dia-Betty deal is not available. Too expensive anyway.)

The price is absolutely ridiculous! The last deal was the same price but we got a mansion, character, npc, and a pool. Thanks to the article on this site about the previous deals I didn’t make the mistake of settling for less on this deal.
