Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything that looks awesome because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should take Gil’s Dia-Betty offer? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this sugar, sugar combo to your Springfield…

Final Thought
Premium:
While I like this combo, I’d still think twice about buying it. It’s way over priced. But that being said, I do like the character and the factory. The Factory has a great design and animation & Dia-Betty has a hilarious questline and set of tasks.
Freemium:
Freemium players I’d pass on this one. While Dia-Betty is a fun character this is still overpriced (way overpriced). Not worth spending those hard earned sprinkles on. So save your donuts for better Around the World items down the road…
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do. And I can tell you as a premium player, I’m still on the fence. I’ll likely end up getting her, but I’m still debating it (because of the price). Just remember this is limited time, and will be leaving our stores soon. Whatever you decide, So be sure to make your final decision before it’s gone from our games for good. (or for now..)

I was in Krustyland when Gil offered the dea. I didn’t take it, and now the offer is not in my store… 🙁
I’ve never been suckered into a Gil Deal (and I’ve been tapping since 2013) – but I came close with those one – yet I will wait next time for Dia-Betty and the Sugar Factory to show up again at 50% off 🤑
I just can’t justify spending 225 doughnuts on this. I never pass up character/building combo’s these days, but this one is just too expensive for me even as a very successful KEM farmer. Maybe they’ll put her on sale in the future.
Off topic but I got a pop up box that mentioned something about checking in with Hank Scorpio on how to help Nelson ? Just wondering if anyone else got it and what it means ? I don’t own Hank
Chances are there is a joint task that involves Hank, Nelson and Uter. Several characters have an “extended” quest line that would appear if you had the character mentioned, but it does not prevent finishing the primary quest line (for Uter in this case…)
I had to buy her straightaway. One of the characters that makes me laugh the most on the show “this here’s my re-ward”…. plus I need to lose weight myself, so I’m hoping Dia-Betty will inspire me. Yes, she’s expensive and massive a massive hold in my donut pile (!) but I don’t regret it 🙂
If she had more earning power than the Wiccans, then I might consider it, but 225 donuts is ridiculous for a non iconic character-building combo. I’ll save my donuts for Mr.Sparkle availble in 3 days if it’s a playable character. Lol
So far my prediction is holding. We have around the world, gluttonous gal and now we need military miseducation.
Another item for “Pros”:
-Her questline rewards a “Chocolate Shoppe” building, if you dont already have it. (it was a limited time building, a prize during winter 2015 event)
This is a very tempting deal because on here it looks like dia-betty has some great inside and outside tasks, using the chocolate shop + the sugar refiner for inside, eating buildings + washing herself seems like great visuals. The only bad things I can think of are the price and the sugar co can be hard to place for some including me. So I might just wait until this is released again at a lower price (like becky and her building this year). Finally 2 quick questions: is the chocolate shop the same one that was available from the last 2 winter events and what building or buildings does she eat for her 24 hour task?

If you don’t have the Chocolate Shop from previous Winter events, you get one for free when the quest line prompts you to use the Chocolate Shoppe for one of her tasks.
Are you ever going to do a Should I Buy on Kumiko? I am inclined to buy but wanted to hear your opinion. Also, for some reason I am only permitted to send one character, Ralph, to the airport today. Is anyone else having this issue?

2 reasons not to buy
1) way to expensive
2) disappeared from my store
3) awaiting Japan (in a couple of days) and Rio (2 weeks from now)

Funny character & a classic episode perhaps if 2 oopa loompas were included at this “Yuge” price maybe , but just assume wait till she resurfaces on discount shelf or some mystery box for half or so , Just like Powers & Becky did 😉

Have I missed it somewhere? Is there a should I buy up for Sailor Kumiko? I’m seeing all these for the items that came after her but never saw one for her (unless I missed it)?

For my part, I bought Sailor Kumiko because I didn’t have the character, and it was supposed to “help with event”. The help isn’t very much (she get’s double the number of pins if you get her on a flight), and I think the building is pretty horrible looking. However, I’m glad to finally have Kumiko, and the Sailor Moon skin is pretty cool!

I’ve been waiting on that one for over a week now to decide what to do and feel like I’m losing the extra credits she earns the longer I delay in possibly purchasing. But I really rely on your should I buy’s to make decisions. (Oh, and as for Dia-betty, outrageous price. No way I can purchase this on principle alone…)

help. I stored the two French guys in order to temporarily remove their task from my task list and now I can’t find them in my inventory. I’ve been to Krusty Land and back. Any ideas.
Check the uncategorized list (probably near the end). New things are often not categorized right away.
Yep, that’s where they were. The worst bit is my inventory is full of rubbish that doesn’t add value to my town and so I had to scroll right to the end of the list TWICE in order to get both characters out. Won’t be doing that again.
I had the same problem. They were not listed under characters but when I looked through my entire inventory I found them all the way at the end. Hope this helps.
Certainly did help. On another note, the reason I stored them was because they had a 4 hour task for all Springfielders to do just when I wanted to use the unemployment office to send all my characters on 24 h tasks. So I thought if I stored the characters then the task would disappear and the unemployment office would allow me to send them. But no, even with the task gone, the unemployment office still only thought I had a few characters available to send on 24 h tasks. Lesson learned, although it would be nice if EA fixed that glitch.
This combo does come with 650 Sky Credits (crafting currency). It’s possible, though not likely, that might persuade some tappers.
Also, the image in the store shows a sugar truck backed up to the factory. I assume that only shows when the building is in use? Just wondering..
The truck is always there. Cannot tell what happens if the building is in use, I didn’t get to that part in the quest line yet.

I’ve seen it in my neighboreeno’s towns, it looks like the chute dumping when it’s animated. Might be it’s saving grace for me. I still want her😂

This is just crazy expensive. I’d be interested, well maybe not in the context of an event that is overflowing with many very tempting premium offers, but man… And I don’t even remember her from the show – so pass.
Though if further down the road she shows up with a discount in something like the Valentine’s Box we have right now – I’d try to get her.
I really wanted to pull the trigger as well but am also in agreement that I can wait until next year to see if she shows up at a discount. Lots of time to KEM farm until then!
Am I the only one who finds this character offensive? A close friend has severe diabetes and she isn’t fat at all – she didn’t cause her diabetes through gluttony. I know it’s just a game… it just seems a line was crossed. Maybe I should watch the episode that the character is from and I’ll feel differently. Happy tapping.

I am diabetic myself and I take no offense whatsoever. I think she’s hilarious. It’s comedy, either like it and laugh or hate it and ignore it. Comedy is supposed to look for and cross the line; realise that although you may not like it, the same is probably true for other people in regards to some things you find funny or interesting or normal.

I’m a type-2 diabetic and I find the character hilarious. Being offended by everything that “makes fun of” a disease or condition means that your sense of humor is broken. Laugh and live life to the fullest. Don’t get caught up with “that’s offensive.”
If everything have to be politically correct and not offensive, the society will be dull like the one in 1984
It’s simple logic, really. That she got her diabetes from eating so much sugar in no way implies that all people with diabetes got theirs the same way. Unless they up and say “this is how all diabetics are,” or constantly present only one side of it over and over, you have to consider whether or not you’re putting messages in their mouths, as it were.

I would have liked the combo, but just as you say – way too expensive!! Spend some sprinkles on the Üter with choc building bundle – I’ve wanted him for a while and was waiting for an offer. Figured it was a better buy….
