Around the World Prize Guide: Act 1, Prize 4 Bastille

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Pack those bags and grab your boarding passes because it’s time to go Around the World with The Simpsons!  The Around the World Event is in full swing in our pocket-sized Springfields and that can only mean one thing….all new prize tracks to work our way through!

This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Act containing part of the story.  To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act.  Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event.  For the First Act you’re tasked with collecting French Pins (ico_cur_aroundtheworld_francepin_lg) to unlock each prize!

The fourth Act 1 Prize awarded at 25,256 ico_cur_aroundtheworld_francepin_lg is bastille, because every event needs a awkwardly shaped building in the prize track…

  1. Bastille offers a permanent 24 Hour Task for Snake, but I hope EA adds a School Field Trip permanent Task (Principal Skinner + everyone’s Favorite Teacher + misbehaving Kids = fun fun fun) 😀👍

  2. Just an FYI…when you reach level 5 of the Osaka Flu…nothing happens…in fact, you kinda get penalized. At level 5, when a tourist is infected, he or she gets the same payout as all the other tourists (4 and 2). No advantage whatever to reaching level 5…what was the point?

  3. Sorry some how that message translated wrong the question was what’s the best xp statue. For i am at 535% and I see no benefit. Please help thank you

  4. What is the best XpressMusic standing in am at 535% it does not seem to make much diffrent in game. Some help would be appreciated

  5. This one will be going in storage when the event is over. As someone else mentioned, the proportions are wrong on the Bastille; it’s about the same size as the Medieval Rich House, when the size of a castle should be much larger than a house.

  6. Some of my neighbours have a building that looks like this, with similar textured walls which look very much like the Great Wall of China. Does anyone know what it is? How to get it?

  7. There is also an indie pop band called Bastille as well just to let everyone know some fun trivia. 🎼🎤😄

    • Pontus Jansson's Magic Hat

The Bastille was destroyed during the French Revolution. Prior to that, it was a monarchy. A female monarch is called a Queen. The greatest rock band of all time are called Queen. Bastille are hardly ‘indie’ anymore. They sold out to Capitol and Virgin years ago. At least bands like the Arctic Monkey’s stuck to their independent record labels.

  8. Off topic and just for fun…made a few design discoveries and thought I would share…some buildings that weren’t meant to go together, but actually work well combined…

    Tentacorp and future Office Towers
Superior Squad Hdqtrs and Mall O Rail outbuildings
Future Costington’s and Modern Mansion outbuildings…they are all in my “downtown” section…

  9. I can’t get a donut to show up in my daily task anymore. It’s usually event or crafting currency and if I hit the x to get a new task it’s always collect income from buildings for $1000 and there’s no way to not complete the task to try for a new task again later.
And 7500 pins for a chance at 3 donuts is not worth the time and effort at all.
I buy lots of donuts but I always appreciate the extra sprinkles you get because you play a lot and have a lot of premium characters and a high XP %. I look at it as a reward for being a premium player.
Looks like EA are really cutting back on the free donuts. ☹️

    • Kinda like if they made us get 100,000 blueprints for the Monorail before we could win 5 donuts…I agree, the bonuts are way over priced this time…

    • No, it’s just a combination of your hitting a rough patch and the usual event issue of daily tasks having to now split the chance among for options (donuts, cash, Springfield Heights currency, or event currency), rather than just asking the first three of those. FWIW, I’ve gotten a donut task two out of the last three times I declined an event currency task.

The one way in which I do think EA’s donut generosity has diminished for this event is in the target goal for earning bonuts (after completing the act track). It’s so much harder that I decided not to even actively try to get them (after I worked to get the first round) and, instead, enjoy being able to use the unemployment office and verbally take it easy and recoup some cash until act two starts.

  10. I dislike this prize. I doesn’t fit well in Springfield.
It odd shaped & proportions are wrong.

    • If it was correctly shaped and proportionate it would take up how much of your town? It’s all a give and take to make it fit. The Springfield Mall should be bigger. Plenty of other things should be bigger in comparison, but they have to make a best fit choice.
