Pack those bags and grab your boarding passes because it’s time to go Around the World with The Simpsons! The Around the World Event is in full swing in our pocket-sized Springfields and that can only mean one thing….all new prize tracks to work our way through!
This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Act containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the First Act you’re tasked with collecting French Pins (
) to unlock each prize!
The sixth and final Act 1 Prize awarded at 40,372 is Cesar and Ugolin, because it’s about time Springfield got some “wine makers”…
So let’s take a closer look at this sixth prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…
Once you’ve collected 40,372 you’ll automatically be awarded Cesar and Ugolin (two full characters) and you’ll see their character unlock messages popup once placed in your Springfield…
And they’re part of the Foreigners Character Collection:
As mentioned above both Cesar and Ugolin are full playable characters…two full characters. And they’ll come with a combined questline, here’s a look at that questline…

So earn those bonuts until Act 1 ends on Sunday February 12th…Remember it ends at 0800 GMT and then Act 2 starts on Sunday. So be sure to earn all the French Pins you can until 0800 GMT Sunday morning…

Now up to 115 donuts
I’m so bummed that I missed getting these two characters at the end of Act 1 and didn’t notice (been in some work stress plus there’s plenty of real life weirdness occurring) and I’d gone ahead and gotten the Chateau Maison because I loved that episode so much so I’m rather crushed at not getting the characters. It’s now 70 donuts to get the two characters. What do you think people? Should I do it? I’m so bummed to pay 70 donuts for characters that I must have been very close to getting free, but if I debate too long over 70 donuts I may not be able to get them at all. Sounds like they’re entertaining. Thoughts welcomed.
70 Donuts is a great price for 2 characters. If they come back in the future they’ll cost a whole lot more and you’ll be kicking yourself for not getting them for 70 when you had the chance.
What can I do with all the pins I’ve collected. I’ve got over 50000
Cesar and Ugolin (two full characters who offer lol worthy dialog – well, I lol’d thru it) make up for Maurice (I’m not a fan of NPC’s), so merci beaucoup EA for getting that right 🤓👍
I don’t think I can finish Act 1 on time! Are the two characters worth the donuts I’m about to spend on them? It’s 50 donuts btw…
Buy them. A 25 donut character is worth it!

I’m playing often enough that I just un-locked Maurice,…. Disappointed that he’s an NPC not a proper character, but that will please some people😃
Does the currency change tomorrow? What I mean is….Should we hold off on tapping the finished tasks till after act 2 starts to get a head start on new currency?

Loved the dialogue during their French Love Connection show! I also like that they use the Bastille along with Snake. I wish they had tasks at the winery itself but I understand since it is a premium item and they are free.
How I love having these deux in my SF. I thoroughly enjoyed the questline & their outdoor tasks are génial! Merci bien EA!
How do we go about the flu quest
My little cloud of flu germs appeared at some point after getting the globe. If you go to the event center, you’ll see a green flu germ cloud at the bottom of the list. If you shift over to the next column toward the right, you’ll see another image of the flu cloud. If you tap on that, it will take you to the current location of the cloud. Usually it’s just floating through town, but if it bumps into somebody then it stays on them until you tap. A flu-ridden tourist gives 10 pins instead of 4 in my town. Apparently only one person is infected at a time so far.
I have these characters permanently on their 2 hour task of “fight each other” so much fun! Thanks EA!
I’m so happy that both of these characters were free and voiced. Can’t wait for the 2nd act.
In my opinion some of the best free characters offered in this game as prizes. I love that they’re voiced and actually how they have some great audio bits as well. Would be perfect if they had another outdoor task. I also do wish that they had some more interactions with other characters and Bart, and that their other jobs were part of the questline though.
I love having these two around my town.
A little OT but is anyone else having a problem with infected tourists paying out the same as normal ones (4 pins and 2 sky credits). Been noticing thus for the past few days…
I thought it was because I had reached level 5…

Is it just me – Ugolin appears in my town census at City Hall, but Cesar doesn’t?
César is in the census but comes at the end of all the ‘c’ characters. Mine’s after Cregg Demon. Probably because of the ‘é’….💜X
So more than a day till act 2, the item we’ve been collecting to turn in for wining Caesar and Ugolina, and everything before them, will that still be usd for Act 2? Will I still be able to get the stuf that was part of act 1? I’m sitting on a couple thousand of these, spend them before act 2 starts? Or save them to have a head start?
Pins are only good for the first act (which ends tonight at 3am eastern US time)…they will disappear and the new currency will start at zero. The crafting currency, sky credits, are good for the whole game.
I like Cesar and Ugolin. They’re fun. I wish their quest involved some interaction with Bart and other Springfielders though.

This is why I love this game. Two FREE characters with hilarious animation and funny quest. I would probably purchase these characters premium style. One off, but the originals have more meaning, no? For all the crappy things EA pulls I love it when they do things like this.
