Just a reminder that Act 1 of the Around the World Event Ends TOMORROW February 12th at 0800 GMT (3am ET).
Once Act 1 is over you will no longer be able to earn Act 1 Prizes for free. So get everything you can before it’s all gone!
Crafting will STILL be available in Act 2. As will the Sky Credits you’ve accumulated.

Oops, I sent a bunch of characters on flights before I realized they’ll still be in the air when midnight PT hits. if I don’t collect them until after the update, will I receive the Act 2 version of the pins?
I waited, and yep, I got Japan pins. But the city for Norbert’s new task doesn’t want to show up in the list (“They sprout in Western Europe”). :-/
I’ve had the same issue, as have others. I’ve tried to report this to EA and as usual got nowhere! 😤 There is a workaround though which the EA forum advised… if you send everyone on tasks, it SHOULD reset the flight list. You effectively lose 4hrs of gameplay though. I’ve had to use this workaround 3 times now, it doesn’t seem specific to a given flight (from what I’ve seen).
Once everyone on a flight (I had about seven flying) finished overnight, it gave me the right location. I wonder if this is to partially defeat those who are sending extra characters using the “glitch.”

As you can see my infection rate is 35%. I’m not entirely sure what the point of this game was, but someone was saying that perhaps if we could get it to 100% there might be a community prize. That person said EA did it for Tap Ball Xmas 2013 and other events.
I only started playing in 2016, so I missed all that. Can you shed a little light on how this community stuff works? Am I supposed to get it to 100% infection rate by visiting more neighbors, or have I already done all I can do and it’s out of my hands now? 35% does seem like a weird number to stop at…
Did something happen in the past two days to the airport missions? Up until yesterday, whenever I completed a 4-hour airport quest and started the next, the required destination would show up for one of the characters.
Now, three times in the past two days, none of the 5 characters have the proper destination. I have everyone free. I haven’t been sending anyone on jobs since this event started.
Just curious, since it might cause problems once Active 2 starts.

Crafted a few Japanese Items (Decor, Trees) at Level 11 – hope we don’t end up with another NPC (nor a Building as tall as the Eiffel Tower) – it’s been a silly fun Event, so far 🤔😀
Compared to the Eiffel Tower, Kyoto Castle is as tall, but a lot bigger.
The Eiffel Tower can be straddled over roads. I have put it over a crossing.
Someone was asking about PLUM TREES… and they couldn’t buy them anywhere??? I just accidentally discovered that if you put one in your inventory, then retrieve it, when you place it, you can just keep placing more except you’re paying for them. I hope my explaination makes sense? And that whoever wanted to buy them reads this ✌🏻
That’s because they’re still in the store…for some reason, they’ve always been in the decorations section instead of the plants section.

If you’re that close, you should be able to rush them for cheap. Better to do that than to buy them later, when they’ll most likely cost a lot more.

Great job as always. I know the crafting is pretty straight forward but was wondering if you had a break down of how many sky credits we need to level up and craft everything. I tend to leave my crafting till the end and craft all at once and just wondering how many credits I need.

I’m honestly not sure. I think you should still be able to catch up if you skip a day, but I’m not 100% sure how it’ll play out in the morning

Behind on crafting, but I especially didn’t want to miss out on the two new characters.

So I have a head start for tomorrow I have not collected the event currency that is awarded for the daily challenges so it rolls over to the new event currency tomorrow
Quick question: Would I still be able to craft the Paris hotel in act 2 because I need about 1200 more sky credits to get it and I only had about 1 or 2 daily challenges that offered them in this act? Sorry if this has been asked many times already. 🙂
Yes, you will. As Alissa mentioned in this very post, crafting will continue and you’ll keep any Sky Credits you’ve earned (but haven’t spent yet).
Yes – crafting doesn’t change and it’s literally impossible to craft everything by now (without cheating or wasting doughnuts)
Yes. You will have crafting for the entire length of the event, so no rush there. Only the main prizes you get with the French pins will change.
Thanks for the replies everyone, (I didn’t know if EA would do the same thing that they done in last years superheroes event where new prizes were added in the next act and remove the previous ones), because most of my neighbours have all the France craftables and none of the Japan ones before Act 2 started today, so I thought that EA might have locked the Japan craftables until today and remove the France ones. Today I found my answer and can still craft the hotel then move on to the Japan ones now. 🙂
Not that I wanted it, but the Pont du Gard is missing from my build menu. The Arc de Triomphe is still there until tomorrow and everything I would want to purchase will be there until the end of the event. I’m just wondering if anything else has already left the game.
Does anyone else have to enter their age, sign in again, and wait about 5 minutes for 6-700 updates at least every other day? This is making me not even want to play anymore.
Will we get more runway??? 2 curved pieces means I need more straight ones for this to look good!!
This happens to me as well , defiantly very frustrating
It happened to me twice, but I have a very fast fiberglass connection, so no biggie to me. It hasn’t happened to me after the second time (touch wood)
On iOS I find that means the device is running low on space and the OS is asking apps to clean up any storage they don’t need. I find this happens when my device wants to download the latest OS update.
That sounds like a corrupt file. Make lots of space on your device, at least two gigs. Make sure your account is not anonymous. Uninstall Tapped out. Reboot your device and reinstall Tapped out.
This happens to me every once in a while. It happens usually because the available memory on my iPhone is very low, below 500 mb or so. Freed up some space and it stopped happening to me. I noticed once that the app icon for the game said compressing really small and that’s when the reload happened.
You read my mind on both accounts. I had my runway all laid out with pavement thinking more would come, but nope.
My phone is very full, thank you guys for telling me why this is happening! I’ll take my vacation photos off and put them on a data stick 🙂

I know some of you have your A and B games, some nut 🥜 jobs even have C games…..
But I just received multiple ‘friend requests’ from someone who apparently has their;
A, B, C, D, E & F games – the names are too similar and they arrived at the same time.
I’m sorry dear 👩💻 person, but you are tooooo involved in this game. On friend request is fine. Six frightens me.

It does not surprise me that someONE is this involved in a game. Just take a stroll on YouTube or around the internet. There are many who devote a lot of time, effort & energy to a variety of things. I just don’t think I could juggle that many of the same game. One version of TSTO is enough for me.
As far as a friend request accept as many of his/her games as you want or none at all. Like Alissa always says, it’s your choice. You’re in control.
I even have twelve games, but only four are up to date.
While we’re waiting for the next act…another fun design discovery…you can put 2 white houses together to make a duplex using about the same space as one….twice the rent from one lot…

OMG just crafted the Japanese Maple… it’s MASSIVE 😟 Had intended crafting a few… nice to have some more variety in trees… but not at that size, don’t have the space.
WILLAND- One of my neighbours has ploughed through the crafting to L20, so it didn’t come as a shock to me & I’ve already planned where to put everything I decide to craft. The tree is massive but I love that about it…..💜X
It is also a nice compliment to the Buddhist Temple already in the game…

Very nice design ebron, I like what you did with the small lanterns. I crafted 2 & wasn’t very impressed with them, but now that I’ve seen how you used them I will craft more😊

Yeah – I believe they’re 3×2, instead of the usual 2×2. I created one, but, after placing it to get the XP, I stored it, since I’m not ready to set up the Japanese area…waiting until I start earning some of the buildings in the act two track (I’m assuming there will be some…).
Lol what’s really massive is the Himeji Castle. It’s 13×14 and very tall! I have no regrets on buying it though.. it’s quite detailed and I’m studying architecture so this event in general makes me happy 😀
Act 1 has been wonderful.
Here’s hoping Act 2 is just as good (and just as generous with free land!).
What’s the deal with EA lowering the payouts for daily tasks towards the end of Act 1 in the last in game update? Really EA? You couldn’t wait a few more days and change it in Act 2? I made the final prize with plenty of time to spare, but I am higher level and also had the ability to log in many times a day to keep sending people on flights. Lowering the amounts won’t impact me, but I feel for the lower level player who is struggling.
If EA was going to lower anything, it should be the amount of neighborhood visits you need to reach level 5 of the flu. 1,000 is an awful lot for a player. I’ll make it easily, but again, newer player with less clickable buildings will struggle. You can have 100 friends, but you need a lot of building’s for a friend to click. A newer player (level 15) will struggle bad.
Just my thoughts. Love to hear yours.
MELLACE- Agree with you 100%. It was unnecessarily mean spirited. Not a problem for me in my A & B games, but I echo your comments re. newer players. That being said. I really enjoyed Act 1 & can’t wait for Act 2…..☺️….💜X

Well, let’s do the math here. Yes, you can have up to 100 friends, but that doesn’t mean you need that many. Let’s say you only have 20 active friends. At three taps a day per friend, that’s 60 flu points, or whatever we want to call them. I know, 60 to 1000, still seems like a big leap, but in 10 days that’s 600. More than halfway there less than a third of the way into the event.
Let’s halve that. You only have ten friends (and how is this possible when the ‘add friends for this event’ thread filled up so fast a second one was made?). 3 taps per day each is 30 per day. Times 34 days in the event is 1020.
As for needing buildings to tap, I reject that argument unilaterally. Brown houses are eligible.
The only way for anyone to struggle in this event is to NOT PLAY.
I’ve already hit the 1,000 mark. Surely with the amount of time left to do it, most should manage. If it had been even easier, some might have accomplished it within the first few days. This feels like a balance that is attainable, but not overtly easy.
Anyone else’s timer for tickets really messed up was in game 30 minutes ago had one to get, so left game. Just went back, no ticket, timer at 19:41, and now several needed :/

Act 1 was easy piecy. Even got César and Ugolin on my anonymous game level 30.
