Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything that looks awesome because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add Mr. Sparkle? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this floating head cleaner to your Springfield…

Final Thought
Premium:
I like Mr. Sparkle. He’s voiced, and it makes me giggle, and he has some amusing visual tasks. 100 Donuts is steep for just a character, but I do think he’s totally worth if for Premium players.
Freemium:
Freemium players I still think Kumiko is the better deal (if you don’t have Kumiko), but I like Mr. Sparkle. It’s a fun character, questline & tasks…plus his voiced. A rarity in TSTO as you all know. So if you passed on Kumiko pick up Mr. Sparkle…
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do. And I can tell you as a premium player, I’ve already grabbed him. Just remember this is limited time, and will be leaving our stores soon. Whatever you decide, So be sure to make your final decision before it’s gone from our games for good. (or for now..)

Anyone get the Battling Seizure Robot? NPC? Worth getting?
I second this. I’m waiting all day long to see a “should I buy” post about the robot.
You’ll need to wait until at least Monday, as the moderators, quite rightfully, take the weekend off to be with their families, etc. (while still being generous enough to push comments through moderation). Remember, this site is run by volunteers who earn nothing (in fact, spend a lot of their own money) doing it.
However, if you go through the comments on posts that have come out since this NPC was released, you’ll see what at least a couple of people who have bought it had to say about it…the general consensus being “meh.”

I’ve read on other sites it is an NPC, which given the low price, makes sense.

I just got the KTV building.
It really looks like a video screen in the front face of the building.
Keep expecting some animated video on it. Like some anime looking Simpsons characters
It lights up with an image of the digital puppet news team when Moe is trying out to be a game show host but it’s not animated. Seems like it should have been. 🙁
I hope that’s a permanent task (and not a 24-hour one), as I’d hate to have to wait for the once in a blue moon when buildings randomly animate to see that one light up again!

Fremium KEM farmer here. Loving this event but it’s left me donutless! 460 donuts on Uter, Laura Powers, Becky, Aztec Theatre, Brandine, and Mr. Sparkeruh… worth it! 😬 Mr. Sparkle is a universal must buy IMO.
Any returning or new goodies anticipated for Presidents’ Day? Maybe Lincoln or Washington?

Freemium players just earn donuts in the game. Premium players spend real-world money to add to their donut stash. I’ve been strictly freemium and got up to ~1,400 donuts, but I’ve burned a bunch during this event. i may end up premium by the time this one ends 🙂
Thank you for explaining. I wondering how you manage to earn for many donut. For I get donuts form play Maggie, my daily task and rarely I get a donut when I visiting a friend’s home. I see all the time posting of getting donuts, but I don’t understand how that is possible. By the way I am a freemium player.
If you spend real money to buy donuts, you’re premium. If you don’t, you’re freemium
Freemium just means you pay the game for free….you don’t spend real money to buy donuts – you just earn them by playing the game. Premium means you sometimes or frequently spend money on the game.

… everyone is having fun “going around the world”, not so much the “invasive screening” 😂 Had to giggle while reading that, I was all but “invaded” last year. Going to Bozeman, Montana?!?
I’m loving this event, although a lot of the items are HUMONGOUS, they are too cool 😎 I’m trying to remind myself that even though the sizes are way off on some things, the game *is* based on a cartoon where people have only 4 digits on their hands 😂😂😂

Just bought him… I’m getting different SkyCredit payouts than what you have listed above. I’m wondering whether that has anything to do with the small update I got a couple hours ago?
Anyhow, instead of going through his questline (which, thankfully, earns event currency), I think I’ve decided that I’m just going to send him on his 1-hr quest repeatedly for the higher payout. 😀
For example, instead of the 4-hr quest (Make Mr. Sparkle Clean) the questline tries to start you out with, which only earns 56(?) SkyCredits over a 4-hr period… I’m going to try to repeatedly send him on his 1-hr quest (Monologue Against Dirt), which earns 38 SkyCredits/hr, or 152 over a 4-hr period.
Maybe I’ll send him on a longer (e.g. 4-hr, 8-hr) quest overnight, if I have to sleep or something. 🙂

When I was a fremium player the first character I got was Prof. Frink. I’d been saving up bonuts for weeks, and I was so excited to get him! Now I’m a premium player and I do a lot of bonut farming, yet I was as excited to get mr. Sparkle as I was getting Frink…
The payout for Mr. Sparkle jobs has doubled in my game — 4-hr task now gives 100 crafting currency, 1-hr gives 38… this makes a great fun character even better! It was an instant buy for me, one of my favs in the game so far!
Juuuuuust bought Mr Sparkle! Helped my decision that he earns crafting currency.
Already spent 400+ donuts on this event, I love it! Best event since the Casino event which was my favorite!
I pretty much never spent donuts (other than speeding up tasks from time to time in an emergency), but I’ve also dropped close to 500 on this event so far, and I think about to pull the trigger on Mr. Sparkle.
I have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of Mr. Sparkle, and I bought him without hesitation. When I noticed him in the “Oddballs” category of the character collections, I thought he might just be an NPC, so I was very happy to find out that he was a fully playable character.
I love his four-hour “Clean” task. Although I noticed that his tasks can’t be rushed because he earns event currency.

Mr. Sparkle earns event currency – are there any other characters or specific jobs that earn currency as well? Mrs. Muntz’s “Exchange Welfare Checks for SkyCredits”?

Passing on this as Mr Sparkle gives me the heebie jeebies, and do you know the stupid thing I can’t work out just what it is that makes him so creepy. Maybe I should be brave and buy him and face my fears, mmmm.
In the 70s and 80s, many Asian horror movies uses floating heads. Mr Sparkle gave me that feeling.
I tried facing my fears with the zombie dumpster, did not work, dumpster is in storage. If he really freaks you out I would skip him and save your donuts for something that makes you happy, not unnerved 🙂
He is so cool, had to have him 😊 Even if he didn’t earn event currency, I would have still pulled the trigger. I love his tasks😍

Kinda underwhelmed. The animated tasks are repetitive, and the voice is different from the original (Hank Azaria filling in). I love the character so I got him, but could’ve been better IMO. Perhaps even if they kept the Japanese translations that would have been something, but a little bit of a letdown.
I want him but wonder if I skip buying him now they’ll do a special sale/bundle down the road. If he had a fish + bulb animation I might give in, but I spent plenty of donuts this event and need to save for whatever EA has in mind next
Do you mean they bring Mr. Sparkle back as a bundle? I can’t tell for sure of course, but I bought the Space Koyote and Plopper back when they were in store and as much as I know they haven’t returned so far (at least not as a bundle or on discount). I count those three to my “curiosities from my favourite episodes collection”. 😉
Plopper came back as a rebate during the Superheroes II event. Dont know if Space Coyote will ever come back though.

Once I san him on the store I had to buy him, love all of his tasks
any one finding going through neighbours that not collecting as much most times when i go through can pretty much get from all but im seeing a lot that have nothing there ?
I’ve noticed that my neighbors with smaller towns don’t always have any pins left to tap…I try to come back later (or early the next day), so that I don’t miss them entirely.
