Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Pack those bags and grab your boarding passes because it’s time to go Around the World with The Simpsons! The Around the World Event is in full swing in our pocket-sized Springfields and that can only mean one thing….all new prize tracks to work our way through!
This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Act containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the Second Act you’re tasked with collecting Japanese Pins (
) to unlock each prize!
The First Act 2 Prize awarded at 4,815 is Mount Fuji, because Springfield needs something to erupt…
So let’s take a closer look at this first prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…
Once you’ve collected 4,815 you’ll automatically be awarded Mount Fuji and you’ll see this message popup:
And you’ll have the option to place it in your Springfield immediately or store it in your inventory for later. Remember if you store it you’ll have to go back into your inventory to retrieve it.
Mount Fuji does come with some an short questline, here’s a look:

Mayor Quimby: Wonderful. My father always said, all roller-coaster publicity is good roller-coaster publicity. He really did.

This may not be the right place to post this, but does anyone else’s game keep making them have to re-download all 600+ MB and log back into their EA accounts ? I’m starting to think it’s just my phone but I’m not exactly sure. It’s a real inconvenience to my Springfield and my phone’s data plan since I don’t have wifi.
That tends to happen if you don’t have enough free space for the large cache this game tends to have, or if a file is corrupt. Free up some space if you can, see if that helps. If it doesn’t go to a coffee shop with wifi and totally reinstall.

Like the Eiffel Tower, Mount Fuji is h-u-g-e (EA missed an opportunity to scale things down to Las Vegas faux size (lol) and I’m soooo glad Osaka Squid isn’t an NPC (lol worthy Task thanks to clever dialog) 👍

Do you happen to know how much it costs? I didnt get to the guys in act one, not sure if it is worth trying because I dont know how much donuts they are.

If you haven’t done ANYTHING to earn event currency for a particular prize, it would cost you around 345 donuts to unlock them I believe.
Event prizes are typically grossly overpriced in terms of doughnuts. You’d have to want them a lot to go that route.
I wish I could replace a section of my mountain range with this.

Bummed there isn’t a rollercoaster skin, thought we would get one with the questline.

It’s beginning to make sense why they gave us so much land and water….Mountain that takes up a whole square…. Castle that pretty much takes a whole square…tons of other buildings to come….hmm
On another note, My Japanese Maples are disappearing into the void when stored. Tried looking in each individual section and looking through the 3 main sections. If someone else had the same problem or knows where they are, please inform this blind person.
Try looking through the general inventory instead of any sections. New items are often uncategorized.
Mine stayed in the general inventory but the picture of them wasn’t there- it just looks like an empty space in my inventory. But when I clicked on it, the maple tree appeared when I was placing it
Yes, I slowed down and found the japanese maples by name. Before I was zipping through looking for the red tree.
Unintentional silver lining, they are Japanese maples so they must be ninja trees… I’ll see my self out.
NOTE: When tapped it erupts, yes, but not until you go through the quest line, I’ve tried and it didn’t work until it hit a certain part of the quest line.

I just noticed that the background music is still the French style Simpson’s theme. Wouldn’t it be nice if the theme could change to reflect the country in each act? Just sayin….
Huge, but awesome – I can only imagine how many donuts this will cost in the next year or so when it’s re-released as a premium item…
So far, this is the best prize from act 2. Better than the Squid or the Free Land Token at least, that’s as far as I got. Might change my mind once I receive the KTV-Building, or the Sumo Stadium, though.
Agreed – I especially love it because it’s a perfect background to place one of the Chinese dragons!!!!
The fumes from the asteroid crater is wafting into the Dragon’s nose while it hovers next to the clouds. And when Fuji explodes… it covers the Dragon’s head….
I like the mount Fuji prize. It is big as all heck though. other than that:

And for those wondering, The squid is a full character with a funny/possible slightly disturbing 1hr job.

The real McCoy stands 3,776.24 m (12,389 ft) tall, so they (EA) have it miniaturized it to about a 1:100 scale,
I love this prize. I know it is huge, but I absolutely love it! Can’t wait to properly set this area up!!!
I wasn’t thrilled that this was a 1:1 scale model, but it actually isn’t that bad. Going to make a nice Japanese garden area around it.
