Around the World Prize Guide: Act 2, Prize 2 Osaka Seafood Concern Squid

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Pack those bags and grab your boarding passes because it’s time to go Around the World with The Simpsons!  The Around the World Event is in full swing in our pocket-sized Springfields and that can only mean one thing….all new prize tracks to work our way through!

This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Act containing part of the story.  To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act.  Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event.  For the Second Act you’re tasked with collecting Japanese Pins (ico_cur_aroundtheworld_japanpin_lg) to unlock each prize!

The second Act 2 Prize awarded at 12,038 ico_cur_aroundtheworld_japanpin_lg is the Osaka Seafood Concern Squid, because you need someone to remind you “knife goes in and guts come out”…

  1. I love the squid. What a cute and hilarious character!

  2. How is this guy a full character yet Capital City Goofball and Snowball II are NPC’s???
Come on EA give Snowball and The Goofball some tasks already!

  3. Just my opinion but I think the squid, sumo bloke and Mr Sparkle are all rubbish characters to add. Makes me think they should have had a different destination altogether but suspect there may have been some commercial reasons behind choosing Japan. Dunno, doesn’t really matter why they chose it, Brazil looks like the additions are going to be equally lame. It goes to show that they’re perilously close to the bottom of the barrel and may need another rethink on how they move the game forwards.
Not at all impressed with this event although some of the buildings will make a good design if I decide to invest any effort in a rebuild…

  4. Love this character! ❤
Also (O.T) … does Alissa know that 25 years ago “Homer at the Bat” debuted. Thought you would be interested 😉

  5. EA blows it big time.
For crying out loud, it’s a walking, talking land squid and it only has one visible task?

  6. He’s like a little piñata!

  7. I love the commit seppuku task. The visual is hilarious

  8. Squiddy and Mr Sparkle…what a great event! (If I just hadn’t blown 35 donuts on an insane robot NPC that makes me queasy…)

  9. This guys tasks crack me up. I expected an NPC. Very happy with him.

  10. The seppuku task always gives me a laugh for some reason….

  11. It’s a shame that it only has one outside task, so we never really get to enjoy this character very much. It will just earn cash. Pity

  12. This event is boring. And kinda hard to reach the final prizes in time even with checking in every 4 hours. EA really needs to change it up from being 3 acts with a main prize track and crafting. They’ve been doing this format for almost every event for the past three years. They did a nice job with the amount of freemium characters and buildings this event but the craftables are all a waste. Nothing worth grinding until level 20 for. I miss the days of one event-long prize track and community prizes. I even miss level updates. Instead of the current mini-event format, maybe make it more like a level update where you just have to play through the quest line. Make the tasks 8-24 hours so it takes a week. Get more characters involved for those of us who have played for a while and never get to use any characters over level 20. I challenge you, EA!

    • Sounds solid

    • Hard? I already have all prizes and got my first round of bonus donuts. And even with the crafting I’m on level 20, I love this event! The only thing I don’t get is the osaka flu bit. And I’m dissappointed there isnt a special discount deal where you get Akira with some decoration. Like with the hungry hun

  13. His seppuku task is the best thing ever.

  14. I was so ready to store him, than when I found out he was not an NPC (a npc?) I was very happy, there has been a lot of free characters this event, and Mr. Sparkle is the Best. Character. Ever. TSTO and you addicts and all you commentators on here make it one of my favorite games on any console or device of all time.

  15. cute
