Around the World Prize Guide: Act 2, Prize 4 KTV Building

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Pack those bags and grab your boarding passes because it’s time to go Around the World with The Simpsons!  The Around the World Event is in full swing in our pocket-sized Springfields and that can only mean one thing….all new prize tracks to work our way through!

This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Act containing part of the story.  To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act.  Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event.  For the Second Act you’re tasked with collecting Japanese Pins (ico_cur_aroundtheworld_japanpin_lg) to unlock each prize!

The fourth Act 2 Prize awarded at 28,891 ico_cur_aroundtheworld_japanpin_lg is the KTV Building, because Springfield needs somewhere to broadcast those crazy Japanese game shows…

So let’s take a closer look at this fourth prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…

Once you’ve collected 28,891 ico_cur_aroundtheworld_japanpin_lg you’ll automatically be awarded the KTV Building and you’ll see this message popup:

And you’ll have the option to place it in your Springfield immediately or store it in your inventory for later.  Remember if you store it you’ll have to go back into your inventory to retrieve it.

The KTV building does come with some an short questline, here’s a look:

Lisa: Dad, the TV’s not even on. You’re watching a reflection.
Homer: Dad, the TV’s not even on. You’re watching a reflection.

This is then followed by a task for Moe to Apply to be a Gameshow Host. (no dialogue, just pops up)

  1. It would be nice of EA to provide more jobs for characters at both GameStop and KTV to light up the screens. Love the KTV style, but it requires Moe to make it look “right” with the screen on.

  2. I love this thing. I really want to start designing but I know I’ll get something before the event ends that throws all my plans out of whack. So, sorry about the mess around my airport and in m heights. Just dumping things as I accumulate them

  3. I’m Quite ready for act 3, even though I have loved the french and Japanese themes, I already got all the prizes amd craftables. Including the final one. IMO this is the best event in a very long time. Looking forward to the next phase.

  4. Meh, I’ve placed it but not with the rest of the Japanese decorations and will probably banish it to limbo once the event is over.

  5. I have 8000 left, will I make it?

If you have 8000 left to get the Sumo Stadium, then your in the same boat as me. Its a real grind to try and get the pins. Spent 173 donuts to get Sailor Kumiko outfit and send as many people as possible on flights, as my counter is stuck on 0s and isn’t resetting 😱

  6. Mr Sparkle also has an 8 hour task here as well as Moe if you have him. Also any have any neat designs on this building yet because I love to see some inspiration for it. 🙂

    • *any one. 😉

      • Put this picture out a few days ago under another post…a Tokyo street using the hotel and KTV…

        • Thanks for replying to my comment, I love your design and I was thinking of getting the hotel but it had already left the store. I really like that you used the dragons and other Japanese style buildings with KTV to make it look so modern, especially the other buildings and bonsai used as well with it. I just seen the other post you put this pic on and the other one with the traditional Japan items which has inspired me to split my Japan section into two, one being for modern items (e.g. KTV, Happy Sumo, Swanky Fish, the Stadium) and the other for traditional items (e.g. Fuji, the shrine, pagodas and the trees). 🙂

          • I had better luck separating the “traditional” items from the “new/city” items. When you get done, be sure to post pictures in the show-off…would love to see what you come up with.

    • Depending on what act 3 will offer be like, I can hopefully get it all done in time for the show-off. For a 5 week event it does have A LOT of new content to give out. Lol. 😀

      • I’ll be likely announcing Showoff next week but it likely won’t be until the weekend after the event ends. So you’ll have a lot of time 🙂

  7. I really don’t like the look of it, but at least there are ways to animate its screen unlike my sad, abandoned GameStop.
