Should I Spend Donuts On Rio Days-Inn-Ero?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Pack your bags and prepare for an invasive screening at the airport because it’s travel time in Springfield! And while our towns are embracing their ever expanding airports, our donut bank is shrinking because there are LOADS of world items in our stores just tempting us with those sprinkles!

Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything that looks awesome because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should Rio Days-Inn-Ero to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this punny hotel to your Springfield…

tsto_rio_days-inn-ero

Decoration/Building: Rio Days-Inn-Ero
Donut Price: 100 Dounts
Earns: 250ico_cur_aroundtheworld_skycredit_lg, 15xp/4hrs
Size: 6×9
Conform-O-Meter:
 Indolence +20

Leaves Stores March 7th

Pros
-Helps earn crafting currency, 250ico_cur_aroundtheworld_skycredit_lg is a decent payout for 4hrs and helpful if you feel behind on crafting.
-Krusty has a permanent task there to Score a Room, 24hrs (Earns $600, 150xp)

Cons
-A bit over priced for just a building in Springfield
-No real questline with it.  Some dialogue from Mayor Quimby pops up, but that’s about it.

Final Thought
Premium or Freemium:
This is going to be one of those “if you like it” items.  At the end of the day it’s just a rectangular building for Springfield.  There’s no real unique design to it.  So if you just feel you have to have it, or if you feel you’re really lacking in SkyCredits then pick this one up.  Otherwise pass.  You’ve got plenty of other rectangular “box” buildings for Springfield…

Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do.  And I can tell you as a premium player, I picked this one up and I do regret it a bit (itchy trigger finger). Just remember this is limited time, and will be leaving our stores next week.  So be sure to make your final decision before it’s gone from our games for good. (or for now..)  Also remember that this is one of those items that will help with the event, so the earlier you get it the better.  So I’d try to make your final decision ASAP so you can get the most out of it.

Here’s a look at Mayor Quimby’s dialogue that pops up:

Mayor Quimby: Finally, another hotel where I can have, er, ah consultations with Miss Springfield about er, ah important civic business. And belly massages.
Blue Haired Lawyer: I’m afraid I’m shutting this place down.
Mayor Quimby: Why? Health violations? Safety?
BHL: Worse. Torture. We’ve never seen such a tortured pun name.

*insert comical rim shot here*

  1. It goes so well with the painted houses…I love this part of the event…

  2. I wanted to pass, but the name was just too funny!

  3. Contrary to what others think my i am actually grateful EA is giving us the chance to earn so many SkyCredits rather than give us land tokens. I already bought the most expensive lots and crafting has been my biggest worry during this whole event. I want multiples of EVERYTHING but they are all so individually expensive.

    • Thinking back at how difficult it was to get the (ultimately very disappointing) shipwreck prize of the recent Halloween event I was geared up for another “stress”-filled event (of course it’s only stressful if you allow it to be…) I am surprised at how easy this event is in comparison. I had crafted the tree restaurant even before act 2 ended and I’ve gained at least another 20000 credits since. I will get another 15000 easy before this event ends. Mr. Sparkle, the Rio-Days-Inn-Ero and Norbert’s daily tasks already bring in at least 2900 a day. With a few 1000 credit daily bonus tasks, friend visits, the credits from the prize track and tapping visitors four times a day you’ll get 4500+ in total daily with relative ease. Which means I’ll have way too much. I’ll probably forefeit a lot of credits just to avoid clogging up my inventory. Or I’ll stop thursday when I get the Samba school. I’ve wanted to nuke my town and start from scratch for a while now, but there hasn’t been a long enough break yet… I may extend my KEM-farming by a few days. This event was expensive and even the 900+ bonuts I’ve farmed so far don’t cover the cost. #1stworldproblems

  4. Does it pay game currency AFTER the event?

  5. Usually, I pass on such things, but I’ve bought almost every premium thing in this event – it’s really important for me to fill out my tourist areas as much as possible. I did end up missing out on Himeji Castle, but I’m sure it will be back at some point. I’m eventually going to have all the Brazil stuff, but I actually prioritized buying this one first. I know I will finish the prize track without help on pins, and the effort for bonuts isn’t worth it, but there are so many things I want to keep crafting – literally almost everything: taxis, trees, lanterns, even the lavender….that I want to max out on as many sky credits as I can. I wouldn’t buy it just for that, but that’s why I actually bought this before the characters – their quest lines will keep.

  6. Josephine Kick@$$

I bought it and love it 😊 The building animation when Krusty is there is appealing & the play on the name cracks me up😂 Besides, where will I stay when I travel there? 😂😂😂 No regerts😜 here 😍

  7. I have no beefs with it

  8. ThatOneWeirdTapper

Was leaning over to the pass side, I’m quite on track with crafting.. Might of looked good near costingtons, but that’s something I don’t have, and my donuts are running low atm. Thanks for your thoughts! ☺

  9. Didn’t buy it, but thanks for sharing the dialogue.

  10. I was going to buy it (and steal ebron’s idea of incorporating classic mansion pieces with it) to have an airport hotel, but it was way too big and out of scale for that next to the airport. So I moved my motel over next to the airport (which matches very well in terms of size and color with it) instead, and I’ll skip buying this altogether, I think.

    • I like the idea of the sleazy motel near the airport…once the event is over, I may move the airport over to Springfield somewhere near it…thanks

  11. If it paid out event currency, as opposed to crafting currency, I might have gotten it. Not that I’m struggling with pins, but I have way more SkyCredits than I need. And that’s even with one of the best group of craftables, IMO. Based solely on design, it’s also a pass at 100 donuts.

  12. Love the name but I already have 3 hotels in my town. I think that’s plenty.
