My Opinion On It Now: Originally I passed on this one. I was underwhelmed by it. BUT ever since they’ve added more religions buildings and items (Homer the Heretic mostly) I now have the ideal location for it. So I’ve picked it up. It’s still a bit over priced for the bonus % offered, but it also offers cash and XP…which is nice. So if you like it grab it, I did.

My Opinion On them Now: The Bandit fort earns some income, but that’s about it. This is super over priced for what it is…unless you’re really jonesing for some Cacti I’d pass.

I just want sympathy so I figured I’d share my pain. I’m a freemium player for the most part and am very cheap when if comes to spending donuts. I was scrolling a little too fast through the store and spent 200 (out of my hard earned 201 donuts) on the terrible Mexican Bundle. For some reason my “CDS” toggle was turned off so there was no hesitation from EA to swallow up my donuts.
The worst part is that I could have literally bought anything else in the store and been happier. The Mexican bundle is about the most overpriced item there. For 200 donuts, I could’ve purchased 2 or 3 characters that I have yet to get, but instead, I got the bandit camp and duplicates to all the items I got for free during the previous event.
I share this as a reminder to check you CDS button frequently and also so people can feel better about whatever is going wrong in their day today. 🙂
I also am a freemium player, but thanks to this site on my main game I am now earning over 100 donuts per day. On my other game I am earning about 200 donuts per week.
I bought Christo the first time around, I’d like the fort & definitely wish I could get more cactus patches, but I have enough rocks, even more than I need. IMO, I’d have more rocks in my head if I paid 200 donuts 😂😊

I really want the bandit fort but it’s just too much. Maybe Black Friday at a steep discount.
I bought the Bandit Fort during the Wild West event so it didn’t show up for me, but it seems unfair that it should cost 200 donuts then and 200 donuts now PLUS a free additional selection of rocks. Kinda pissed over that.
Probably based on how many people bought the fort during the Wild West event (or, rather, how /few/ people bought it the first time around), it sounds like they’ve decided to re-release it at the same price point but to ‘sweeten the pot’ a little more this time around.
Sigh, I wish they would come up with a way to earn the cactus patch like they do with the pumpkin. I have over 40 of the pumpkin patches in storage from the psychedelic chili pepper game, but only got three of the cactus patches during that event. But with the Wild West event and having developed the town, it would be nice to surround it with a desert. Either that or pay ingame cash, which is probably out of the question now that they are part of a donut bundle.
*SIGH* 6 frustrating hour of Bart mocking me with “Try Again…” for me too!

I like the look of the Fort. It reminds me of The Magnificent Seven and would fit nicely with my Wild West items. At that price though, I’m not buying it. And bundling it with cactus rocks (of which I have many) and the craftable cactus patch from the Terwilleger event (with no multiplier and limitations on placement) instead of the cacti from the Wild West event (same look but with multiplier and no background) does not encourage a purchase.
I did buy the statue. Same price as before (when I turned it down) but there are many more design options for it now. It’s currently on my cathedral grounds and looks nice there.

When I saw that the Mexican Bundle came with rocks I almost bought it instantly. I need lots of rocks… for… reasons…
But the bundle didn’t list how many rocks, so I have been eagerly awaiting this post and fighting the urge to drop donuts on the bundle. There are not enough rocks in that bundle to justify 200 donuts for a building that I don’t want.

I got the Cristo of Springfield when it came out to so with the Olympics Theme. Now I have moved it to my Brazil section of my Destinations Works really well. In fact I have moved all my Olympic stuff over to one location in my springfield.
I know this isn’t the right topic, but I can’t get into the game either recently here in middle america.

Same thing with me. I can’t play on IOS or Android. I went to the website “down detector” where you can see outages but I can’t open up that page either, maybe the site is crowded. I emailed EA to report the servers are down.

Yes, seems to maybe be some ddos thing again. I can log in for about 5 seconds, then get dc’d. Most the time it just times out

Originally passed on both, but since the Brazilian theme the Cristo of Sprinfield fits in somewhat now. I was able to position it so that it looks to be standing on top of Springfield gorge, kind of like the original in Rio..

Be careful on Mexican Bundle. I tried to buy it to get it a better look at it. It immediately went into inventory, no chance to back out.
I did the same but it never went into inventory, you sure your confirm donut purchase is ticked?
Check that your confirm donut spend is turned on.
Normally when you buy a premium item you can confirm buy, then get the image to place and if you hit the red x, it will cancel the purchase. This time it went directly inventory.
Did you check your confirm button didn’t turn off? Mine turns off on its own. I have contacted ea about the glitch in the past and I’ve read other posts in the past by people that have contacted them about the same issue. They refunded me 15 donuts on a 150 purchase I didn’t want. So don’t expect a big return for the issue. I think it turns off after they do some updates. I haven’t had the issue in six months though thankfully.
I check every time when an update if the “Confirm donut spend” check box still is checked.
simpsonsmomma: It really isn’t a glitch. I did confirm the purchase. It just that normally one can back out of a purchase if you hit the red X in the corner before placing it. This time it went directly to inventory instead of giving me an option of placing it. Thinking about it, it may be I didn’t have a clear piece land at the time that it would fit on.
I wanted Cristo but it’s a lot smaller in scale than it should be. In danger of being crushed by a dwarf (a la Spinal Tap)
I test placed it and was expecting it to be very large. Boy was I wrong.

There are characters earn a premium rate 8 hour jobs Database, The Capt. & Martin. These are the ones I remember. I purchased it at the event Gil deal, not fair you get extras stuff for same amount of 🍩
Those extras where free or craftable.
No they were not, the cactus was 20 or 30 donuts & there was no statue. Just the rocks were able to craft.
The cactus patch in this bundle is one from the Terwilliger event on a sandy background. A craftable that could only be placed on grass. There was a similar “cacti” available for doughnuts during the Wild West event with no background that had a multiplier. Too bad they included the wrong one (my opinion) in the bundle.
