Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
It’s that time…calling all Springfield designs of Worldly Proportions! We’re getting read to do the next Springfield Showoff featuring what you’ve done with all of the Destination Springfield stuff! So prep those towns…because we want to see what you’ve done with your Springfield!
The Next Showoff will feature your Around the World stuff so show us what you’ve got! Send in your areas of Worldly designs (including France, Japan & Brazil…or any other world areas you’d like to show us) from your Springfield and we’ll be putting up the Showoff Post, featuring your designs, on SATURDAY March 11th 2017. (So you’ve got a week and a half AND a full weekend to work on them 😉 )
So grab some screenshots of your town, or finish up those designs…just make sure to send your submissions in by about 8pm ET Friday March 10th. Can’t wait to see what YOU have come up with.
You can send your designs in two ways…either post a link to the image in the comments on this post or you can email them to us at TSTOAddictsblog@gmail.com. We won’t be pulling images from anywhere else, so please if you want to be featured either submit in the comments below or email your images to us.
Note: PLEASE try to limit your submissions to only 1-2 of your favorite screenshots. We like to try and let everyone showoff their town but it becomes difficult when some of you are sending in 7-10 images. Pick your favorite areas and send them in (or if you stitch photos together, that works too). We’ll try our best to get EVERYONE in, but please understand that sometimes we miss a photo or two. If we miss you one week, we’ll try really hard to make sure we get you in the next week. You’re always welcome to showoff your town, at any time, on our Flickr page. We know a lot of you have awesome towns that you want to show off, but please try to stick with this week’s theme. Remember, this isn’t a contest. There’s nothing to win. It’s just a fun way to showoff your town and get some design inspiration from your fellow Addicts. 🙂

I am going to try to post my sections in the comments of the showoff post tomorrow because it has taken me longer than I thought to get all the pics from the sections and try to stitch them together to about 2-4 pics, my ‘Brazil world’ is along by the beach and the others sections are on the opposite side of the map but are near each other so it is also convenient.

My submissions for the show off. The idea for the glass walkway between the airport and the little shop is not mine. Credit for that awesome idea goes to tapebelt! Saw it in their town and had to incorporate it into my design😊

It’s the Resort Entrance you get from upgrading the Springfield Heights Resort Building stacked together.
Thanks, I found it! Great idea. Shameful to say that I copied it for my town too. I just lack the yellow sky tower, plus a wind sock to complete my airport feature.
While I made smaller Paris, Japan, and Rio areas of my town, I really used this event to focus on upgrading my airport. I started building the airport during the space event a while back. Back then, it was just a simple pavement runway with the rocket launch pad next to it, the NASA building, and the few airplanes and helicopters the game had released. I upgraded by adding a lot of land to it, using the “real” runway pieces, building a parking apron with hangars and parked aircraft, a two-terminal airport building, and all of the airplanes the game would offer. I even used the SunSphere as an Air Traffic Control tower.

I found a great little program that does all the stitching for me. Others that i’ve tried just haven’t worked. This one, you just select your jpgs and then it does the work for you. If you don’t like it – you take another screen shot and do it over again – love it!!!! Now i can submit my photos.

But I don’t know what to craft until I’ve seen the showoffs. And then it’s too late to craft 😢
I’m probably gonna push the deadline on this. Waiting to get everything I can before finishing off my airport, and since my Brazil land is right next to it, that might change some things with the space.
Might wait a little close to the deadline so I can get more items from crafting for my design, or make a quick design and get inspiration from the Showoff, can’t wait!! 😀 😀

What app do you guys use for Android to stitch together screenshots?
I just take the screenshots and paste them together in photoshop
I think I might take part in this one, I quite like my airport. Just waiting on the final runway piece first. 🙂
Do you know if there will be more runway pieces for purchase?
