Should I Spend Donuts On Planebot?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Pack your bags and prepare for an invasive screening at the airport because it’s travel time in Springfield! And while our towns are embracing their ever expanding airports, our donut bank is shrinking because there are LOADS of world items in our stores just tempting us with those sprinkles!

Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything that looks awesome because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add the Planebot to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this Planeformer to your Springfield…

plane_bot

Decoration/Building: Planebot
Donut Price: 45 Dounts
Earns: 2% bonus on all cash and XP
Size: 11×12
Conform-O-Meter:
 Vanity +200

Leaves Stores March 7th

Pros
-Animated when tapped, transforms into robot and then when tapped again changes back (to look like a regular plane)
-Comes with a short questline

Cons
-Bonus % could be better for donuts spent (usually 40 donuts gets you 2%, this is 45 donuts)
-Animated needs to be a little more.  Robot should do something when tapped, not just stand upright.

Final Thought
Premium or Freemium:
This is going to be one of those “if you like it” items. It’s kinda meh in my opinion, but I know some of you like these type of items.  So if you like it, go for it.  Otherwise pass.  There’s nothing else for Around the World coming, this is it.

Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do.  And I can tell you as a premium player, I’m passing. Just remember this is limited time, and will be leaving our stores tomorrow.  So be sure to make your final decision before it’s gone from our games for good. (or for now..)

Here’s a look at the dialogue the short questline:

Robots in the Skies Pt. 1
Homer starts

Bart: This is an expensive-looking airplane.
Homer: And just in time. I’ve been looking for a classy place to pee behind.
Make Homer Pee Behind Planebot- 1hr, Earns $70, 17xp

Robots in the Skies Pt. 2
Homer starts

Planebot: HOW DARE YOU URINATE ON MY AILERONS?!
Homer: It was an honest mistake. I thought you were an old junk heap.
Planebot: NOW I’M REALLY ANNOYED. I was going to give a boon to mankind, the secrets to eternal prosperity and peace… But now I’m going to kick your humanoid heinies. Prepare to be destroyed!
Bart: Get in line. We’ve already been attacked by robots and aliens. Plus doofus here blew us all to smithereens.
Planebot: I will not be ignored. I’m a planeformer, and I deserve respect!

What are your thoughts on the Planebot?  Will you be picking it up or have you already?  Where have you placed it in your Springfield? What were some of your reasons for picking it up or passing? Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. I like it, but I think I’m gonna pass. Already finished designing my airport and ran out of room to expand it

  2. Saw it in a neighbor’s town. I like that in plane form, it fits better to the airport buildings in scale. But i have already put some aircrafts into inventory, so i really don’t need another plane. I would trade my three white planes from the event for one big one like this, but yeah.

  3. Instant buy. No regrets. Makes me smile. I’ll trade donuts for a smile every time!

  4. This is the dumbest thing I’ve ever gotten in this game. How many airplanes does my town need? They’re always too big and I never know what to do with them.

  5. Love it! It’s not expensive and is in better scale than the other airplanes. It makes my airport look better.

  6. It’s a giant Gobot, how could I resist?

    I couldn’t, that’s how.

  7. I like it. Its a plane, not a whole lot of them in the game. (prior to THIS event) On a side note: is the Airport terminal glitching a lot the last few days? I see the clue for the trip, but not the answer. THEN the whole thing RESETS itself to the first prize. Weird…

  8. I really like this item. It is not too expensive and animated. It is kinda big though.

  9. It is a boring item. Don’ t buy it

  10. *sings* …robots in disguise! 🙂

    Love it ♡

Anyone have a pic of what it looks like what it’s not transformed into a robot? Ie, when it’s just in plane mode?

  12. Meh, I got it, don’t really regret it. But for those thinking they can line up the runway with that from the event, not completely. Yes it will line up, but there’s an extra few pixels on either side, so the lights will not line up with your other lights, if you have them right up against the runway. Don’t hate the item, just wish it was a tad smaller so the lights lined up, my only gripe.

  13. I’ve come to the conclusion not to buy anything anymore, because later it will be cheaper in those boxes.

    • Val, it my be cheaper but then you have lost on X days of cash or %. For example, Lard Lad earns $135 every four hours. So if you visit 3 times per day, a .02% bonus is $8 per day. A blue house is $150 every 8 hours, so twice a day visits would earn $6 more per day. If you have 200 buildings averaging $7 per day extra, that is $1400 per day, Over a year that is $511,000. Of course, they more building and people you have, the more you miss out by not buying “early”.

  14. It is such a wacky thing, I had to buy it.
