Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Well that didn’t take very long….we’ve got ourselves a fun little in-game update. This particular update is a tie-in for Sunday’s new episode of The Simpsons, “22 for 30″, and will kick off for you in your game automatically (after the download) with some dialogue from Skinner & Milhouse.
This will be followed by 4hr tasks for the kids of Springfield…

Remember this is an in-game update, but you won’t see it unless you’ve downloaded the removal update for Around the World that hit App Stores yesterday. And no, this hasn’t fixed the missing tourists yet…
So this episode tie-in contains a couple of new items, 2 premium 1 free, and loads of returning content from events past. Here’s a look:
New Stuff…
Outdoor Half-Court- Free, unlocks with the questline. 6×7. Animated job for Milhouse there…
7200 Ounce Squishee- 25 Donuts, Earns a .60% bonus on all cash and XP. 1×1 in size. Not very tall, comes up to about the bay window in the Simpsons House in height.
ESBN Sports Desk w/ Anger Watkins- 110 Donuts. Desk is 3×4 in size and earns a 3% bonus on all cash and XP.

After the questline is done Milhouse’s Practice Two-Pointers task AND Milhouse’s Fight Bart tasks will both remain in Milhouse’s task list. BOTH are animated tasks and both are done really well. Very impressed with this two animations.

After finishing the Bart & Milhouse BBall tasks I got a ‘congratulations’ dialog box with animated fireworks for completing a storyline which told me to enjoy my reward. I didn’t get any reward and it looks here like it wasn’t for the 22 for 30 storyline. Did anyone else see this?
I got this for Sailor Kumiko quest task end.

I love the half court…goes great on the playground @ the elementary school…the animation is terrific!

If you tap the Outdoor Half-Court, you can make a free throw. Tap it in the right place and you can sink it, otherwise it bounces off the backboard.
Now it never misses. Anyone tried it yet?
It’s just random. I play with a mouse so I can position it exactly on the hoop and not move the pointer. Sometimes it goes in, sometimes it misses. And yes, after a while it stops missing and always goes in regardless of where you click
How do you play with a mouse?
I use an Android emulator on my Windows desktop PC, and sometimes on my Windows tablet. I have powerful devices, so it seems a bit silly to invest in a dedicated device just for playing Android games. I would never allow an Apple device in my home either.
I love a good deal, so I picked up Coach Krupt right away. I plan to build an amateur sports complex with the Springfield YMCA, the half-court and the football field we got during the Super Bowl tie-in. I have a few scattered items from the Tapball event that I can include, too.
Interesting update. Not much of a sports person, so saving sprinkles in anticipation of getting some more Irish in my town (guessing within the next two weeks).

Hmm didn’t come up in my C game..
YMCA for 120 donuts with 20 donuts rebate showed up for me as well. I got it without much thinking, it is already a good buy without a rebate.
Picked up Coach Krupt with the 20 donuts rebate, 100 donuts for a voiced, premium character and a building with income is always a good deal. Already love seeing him bombarding!
My % went up thanks to Homerclese. I didn’t finish the superhero 2 event, as i was” tapped out” at the time, so i am now missing out on the % from the Dead Lobster building.
Regarding the new content, I’ll pass. Not a huge sports fan anyway. But it’s fun seeing Milhouse shoot hoops in the court from the questline.
It’s a good episode tie-in because it doesn’t require a lot of tapping (Freemium themes alright with prior Stadiums – Football Field, Basoccer Field) 👍
I feel sorry that Noobs are spending Donuts on “Freemiums & Craftables” (at least their at rebate) 🤔
Was forced to update an hour or two before this hit the game, but at least I got one round of extra bonuts from the “overtime.” And enough time to earn the Samba School in my B-game. But onward and upward to the next thing now. Although this is the third sports themed update since Tapball, I still find room to fit in the new stuff. Sometimes I’m thankful that new characters come with a small decoration instead of a building, though. Picked up Anger Watkins right away 🙂
I’ve always liked Coach Krupt and, as a freemium player, would love to get him with a rebate but they’re not offering early access. I’m still a few levels away from 52 so I’ll probably miss out on the deal.
