Around the World may be over, but the tourists are hanging around Springfield! Whether it’s by choice is a whole different story. Yes, that’s right EA’s finally fixed the bug and the tourists are back in our stores for premium purchase
Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything that looks awesome because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add these three tourists to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this triple threat to tourism to your Springfield…
Characters: Tourists (Man, Woman & child)
Donut Price: 60 Donuts
Leaves Stores March 28th
Pros
-Three full characters for Springfield
-They have tasks that will put them in their various “outfits” from Around the World (France, Japan, Brazil)
-Great price for 3 characters
Cons
-I’m sure it will be fixed, but at the moment only the male and female tourist earn at a premium rate…the kid earns at the regular rate
-Not really canon characters.
Premium or Freemium:
Honestly, it’s hard not to like this bundle. 3 full characters for 60 donuts that’s a great deal. Assuming EA fixes the kid’s task payout it’ll be even better, 3 premium characters, a really great buy!
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do. And I can tell you as a premium player, I’ve already grabbed them. Just remember this is limited time, and will be leaving our stores soon. Whatever you decide, So be sure to make your final decision before it’s gone from our games for good. (or for now..)

Ah…groundless procrastination ended: OF COURSE I invited he tourists to stay awhile! Hooray! Is that actually the first time we’ve been offered these ‘update-characters’ for donuts after the event, or have I just not realised before?? Oh!! P.S (off-topic-sorry!!) I read a comment recently from someone apologising for TWS’ing in a neighbour’s Springfield and graffiting..(Tapping-Whilst-Sleeping!!) and it made me laugh that someone’s actually named the misdeed, as I am a regular culprit!!
So, t’other day, I’m happily TWS’ing collecting my partner’s buildings on his sign-in, and…oops..I SWEAR…I woke up to the ‘new character pop-up’ congratulating me on buying the tourist bundle!! OMG! Now, my partner DID NOT want them- no umming & ahhing- he had 121 donuts it’d taken him a year to amass (after agreeing he should ‘break into them’ for Banana Republic, and the final 35 needed for Sumo Stadium- both bargains IMHO) and….ugh…shock horror!
I couldn’t believe I could have ‘accidentally’ pressed ALL that just by leaning on the screen, n since I’m always winding him up about how tight he is with them, and what I’m gonna buy on his behalf blah de blah, I’m thinking: how is HE going to believe me lol!?
Oh dear! So…?? I chickened out of ‘fessing up immediately (what you don’t know can’t harm you, right!?), figuring I’ll just have to buy him £5 worth of donut before he realises, lol!
Anyway, ends up, the guilt is too much to bear alone, and I admitted my sin, and my planned remedy! Turns out he didn’t want me spending money on them (even though this would-to my mind!- ease my guilt somewhat!) so he’s 3 characters up, 60 donuts down!! Don’t TWS!! (His ‘count’ is now back up to 91, by the way, thanks to Maggie and challenges etc, and NO thanks to me!!).x
Heehee! During the event I “joked” to my son that I liked having the tourists in my town so much I might “turn off” the updates so I could keep them, lol! Course, soon after, I also realised I wouldn’t be able to visit any of my neighbours who DID play by the rules and update to end the ..well…update, so I had to give-up my ill-thought-out masterplan! Then, I even told him I thought EA should sell them to us….AND??! .Heh!! Whaddya know?! EA go and offer to sell us those very same tourists!…For the bargain price of 60 Sweet Ones to boot! Haha! “Can you believe it?” says I to my son, “Remember what I said and now look!”…
Any who…now, days have past, and those wee fellas are still sat in the store window, gazing out at me, expectantly…Fancy that, says I! There I was, telling all and sundry how I wanted the chance to buy the little guys, and for the first time, they LISTENED (!) and…I HAVENT DONE IT!! AY?! Well… Since then, my partner says, ” I thought you preferred buildings?”…and I…chickened out!! What am I doing?! So…FF, and I realise the only way to solve my (really, NON-)dilemma is to consult my devout fellow-tappers in this here thread and…*drum-roll*…BUY THEM??! Arrgh?! I STILL haven’t done it!! I THINK Im going to log-in right now and do it….*deep breath*…(its ‘only’ c.£2.50, right?!)…Here goes…

3 fully playable character 2 premium…. I don’t understand the hesitation, especially if you wanted them. DO IT!
All noobs should jump on 3 (well currently 2 out of 3) Premium Characters for 60 Donuts – a true bargain that nets you 2 Adults + 1 Kid 👍
Us Long Time Tappers (with over 100 Characters) have a right to be picky – especially if we haven’t obtained the rest of the original Premium Characters from 2012 (Otto with School Bus, Old Gabe with Senior Center, etc) 🤗
EA should know better that NPC’S are an utter waste (stick to fun Characters with plenty of Tasks and Buildings that offer permanent Tasks – like that Hanger 18 Building, that’s awesome)! 🏁

What character collection are they in? What are their names? Tourist guy, girl, and kid?
So far not in any group, & they’re just called “tourist” 😊

thanks everyone for the tourist clarification! I should have known they were skins for the main characters. I am SO excited!! I am a Freemium player, and was SO excited to see these folks in the store! I would’ve been happy for them just walking around…. even better that they have tasks!

You know what EA should do instead of bonuts? Have premium decorations from the event in the 3 boxes. One worth just a few donuts, one worth a little more (around 25), and one worth around 50 donuts!

Yeah, this was a good deal, so I got it.
The St. Pat’s mystery box was also a good deal, at least to me, because there were only two things in there and they were both originally priced at well over 100 donuts. I would have liked to just get Seamus, but was okay with spending 80 D for the castle, too. Of course, got the castle first. At least now I have something to go with my pub.
I was in same boat as you, but I got lucky and got Seamus first….nownight gotta decide if I want the castle for another 80. I’ll wait for the Should I Buy to see the details before I get it.
Only option for me was the Duff Party Boat😎🚢…love it, so I’m happy😁…
