The military event, long teased in the app store descriptions, as finally hit our towns and the kids of Springfield are about to get schooled at the finest Military Academy virtual money can buy…in Springfield. Yes, Rommelwood Academy is here with all the drills, in your face spitting yelling and military inspired premium items our pocket-sized Springfields (and wallets) can handle.
Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything that looks awesome because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the WWII Tank (and Sgt. Skinner) to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this big green machine to your Springfield…

If you don’t have Sgt. Skinner he’ll be offered with the tank for 100 Donuts
Bonus %: 1% bonus on all cash and XP

These pros and cons apply to the Tank only. I’ll give a quick paragraph about Sgt. Skinner after them…
Pros
-Another tank for Springfield, chance to pick it up if you skipped the police one.
-Animated when tapped, tank shoots (a “problem for another Springfield”)
Cons
-Bonus % is terrible for donuts spent. Usually 40 donuts yields 2% bonus
Note about Sgt. Skinner:
Anytime you can get a character combo for 100 donuts (or around there) I always tell you pick it up. Despite a lousy bonus, it’s still a bonus. Sgt. Skinner is a fun character, with a fun questline. So if you’re offered the combo, I’d pick it up.
Final Thought
Premium or Freemium:
The bonus % is lousy, but it’s one of those if you like it get it items. If you think you’ll have a use for the decoration in your Springfield pick it up. But don’t buy it for the bonus %. Buy it because you like it and have a use for it. If not, pass.
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do. And I can tell you as a premium player, I’m debating picking this one up. Trying to figure out if it’ll work with my design concept. Just remember this is limited time, and will be leaving our stores next week. So be sure to make your final decision before it’s gone from our games for good. (or for now..)

I got the tank in the Yearbook, but but Sgt. Skinner doesn’t appear to come worth it unfortunately unless I overlooked something. I placed the tank and checked my inventory for the character. Is there anything else I might be missing to unlock him or do you think he’s simply not bundled with the tank in the yearbook? Thank you!
Hi, I am a user that doesn’t spend real money so I am asking should I spend my hardly earned donuts on this, the turists, or wait for something better in future?

Guess I might the only one who doesn’t like Sgt Skinner. He’s been in my storage since whatever event he was a prize in.
If I recall correctly it was the event that brought us the future characters. I could be wrong, but that’s what comes to (my😂) mind 😊
Trying to decide between the Sgt. and the Tourists.
I have Hermans antique shop in a small compound. Filled with nukes, canons, bomb shelters and training dummies. The tank fitted in quite well. Put hanger 18 in there too.

Tanks for the memories
I heard that you can get the tank by sending Cadet lisa to conqer the eliminater. They said it happens but it is rare. If someone could tell me if this is true that would be great.
I bought it, I already had Sgt. Skinner, but the tank is so cool looking 😊 I’m contemplating another one, it depends on my final design (the tank & another barracks 😀
When the tank shoots, does it do anything (like the way the police tank blows up a building)?

No idea what to do with this. It really doesn’t fit in anywhere.
if you make a military base you can use it there. Or you can use it outside Rommelwood. Like a “replica” statue version
I didn’t think Rommelwood looked very military so it’s already found a home where the tank wouldn’t work. Thanks though. I’ll just put it off to the side. I’m sure they’ll come up with something someday that inspires me. I never now what to do with vehicles. Planes, cars, helicoptors, etc… The only one I like is the car Homer designed.
I think the tank works good with the training plane on each side of my driveway leading into Rommelwood. It gives it a nice touch to the school I think.
Old war relics sometimes appear in scrap yards and such, and they’re still pulling them out of bogs and mud and all kinds of places in Russia…
I’m parking mine next to Herman’s Antiques. I figure that nutjob would want a tank. Ha!

I had to get this as I missed out on Sgt Skinner over the summer due to a holiday without WiFi.
This and the tourists has cleaned me out of bonus. Hopefully there won’t be anything else coming just yet!
He earns at standard rate still, not the premium rate you usually get with premium purchases. It may change though.
This was kind of an instant buy for me as I didn’t have Sgt. Skinner yet, regretted not being able to pick him up on the prize track during the sci-fi event as I was really busy around that time and just had to get him.
I got three tanks. Maybe it is a guy thing. I was in a tank armour unit too while in military service
If you haven’t got Sgt. Skinner then I recommend getting this combo as he is a fun character and his tied up visual task will forever be perfect for ‘Caption This!’ submissions :D.
