Should I Spend Donuts On the Death to Homer Missile?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

The military event, long teased in the app store descriptions, as finally hit our towns and the kids of Springfield are about to get schooled at the finest Military Academy virtual money can buy…in Springfield.  Yes, Rommelwood Academy is here with all the drills, in your face spitting yelling and military inspired premium items our pocket-sized Springfields (and wallets) can handle.

Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything that looks awesome because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add the Death to Homer Missile to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this Homer Missile to your Springfield…

Decoration/Building: Death to Homer Missile
Donut Price: 30 Dounts
Earns: .75% bonus on all cash and XP
Size: 1×5
Conform-O-Meter: Vanity +200
Unique?: Yes, only 1 per Springfield

Leaves Stores March 28th

Pros
-It’s funny, at least the little drawing on it.

Cons
-Terrible bonus % awarded for it
-Doesn’t do anything.  No animation when tapped.  Nothing, nada, zip. It just sits there

Final Thought
Premium or Freemium:
This is one of those if you like it, get it items. There’s not a ton of practical value with it.  You’d be buying it just because you like it and have a use for it.  Otherwise pass.  And if you really want something with a similar design buy the Mini Nuclear Warhead…the bonus % is so much better!

Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do.  And I can tell you as a premium player, I’ve already picked this one up.  I liked it and had a space for it. Just remember this is limited time, and will be leaving our stores next week.  So be sure to make your final decision before it’s gone from our games for good. (or for now..)

What are your thoughts on the Death to Homer Missile?  Will you be picking it up or have you already?  Where have you placed it in your Springfield? What were some of your reasons for picking it up or passing? Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

This was a bit underwhelming, but I am still glad I bough it. It’s funny

  2. Bought it right off, but it is a bit of a dud…
I was hoping for more interaction, maybe a task for Homer. Now I have to find a place for it, but I’m leaning towards storage.

  3. Seriously can’t wait for this event to end! Get onto something with more substance and hopefully more land lol. Had to sneak it in there.

  4. What does it take to be able to put Krustyland items in Springfield….and vice versa? I.e….balloons, Fleeta Pita….etc? Thanx kids 😊

There are a LOT of items you can’t cross over (most actually), unfortunately 😕

    • The Hot Air Balloon is one of the premium items that can move back and forth. Like the Itchy & Scratchy Billboard and some Valentine’s and St. Patrick’s Day items. There should be a list of transferable items available (if not on this site, try googling it). The Fleet-a-Pita is an item that can be purchased in both Springfield and Krustyland but cannot transfer locations (like the trees or the Popcorn Stand). To get the Hot Air Balloon, pay doughnuts for it in the store – it’s a permanent item in both Speingfield and Krustyland. To get he Fleet-a-Pita, purchase Luann and the Cracker Factory and complete her quests. Then buy it with in-game cash or Krustyland tickets.

    • A pipe dream, I know, but wouldn’t it be nice to be able to shift some of the Springfield Heights clutter over Krustyland way? Some of those garish mansions would actually look pretty good over there.

    • I think some items like Fleeta Pita require that you buy them with tickets in Krustyland in order to place them there although some items you can place place in KL even if you got them in Springfield.

  5. Hi can anyone tell me what is the brown box on the task bar for. Please and thank you

    • Josephine Kick@$$

The brown box that is above your open task book, it would have a number on it, & if you tap it, there are tasks in there that you still need to complete. I hope this answered your question 😊

    • Clicking on the brown box will open up your inventory, things or characters that you may have stored

  6. Is it worth it? Not really. Did I get it anyway? Yes. I’ll find something to do with it…eventually. 🙂

  7. Yeah, couldn’t resist this one. Yeeeeeeeee Haaaaaaaaaw!!

  8. “…Nothing, nada, zip….” jajaja, couldn’t help laughing out loud. 🙂

  9. Pass. Will there be a WDTCF on this?

  10. Josephine Kick@$$

I thought it was funny & liked it, so I bought it 😊

  11. When did we get to the point where 20 donuts should always equal 1% bonus? That’s always been as good as it gets, not the standard payout. Way back when the warhead (30 donuts for 2%) and the jet bike (45 for 2.25%) were considered the stand out best buys for their payout, not the standard. There are countless items that don’t fit the 20=1%, 40 =2% etc. If anything they seem to be the exception not he rule.

    • Almost all items that have come out in the last few years…40 donuts=2%.

The payout on this is terrible..

    • For best % use mystery boxes, earn average of 1% per 10 (or less) donuts. Plus you get some Lard Lads.

      • Josephine Kick@$$

Too many Lard Lads 😂 I have at least 4 in storage 😳

        • I feel your pain. I have 164 Lard Lads, 310 Blue Houses, 103 Orange, 50 white, 4 Pink, 10 Krustys, 2 Purple, 13 spooky cabins, 1 spooky house in storage. I much prefer getting the “10 donuts”, i.e. net 4, versus getting another LL.

          • Josephine Kick@$$

😳 wowza!!! That’s quite a bit, but I understand, I’m going to start thinning out a lot of the same items. Going to gravitate towards aesthetics as opposed to volume 😊

        • I am in the same boat.

          • Josephine Kick@$$

After a while they just clutter your town up. I want to go more for design than volume. I rEAlly wish EA would change up some of the prizes for all of the bonus items won. (And ODL, how many fountains for SH do we need???) At least we can sell the dozens of Hail Ants signs that seem to be a common prize.

    • Jet engine bike is 2% for 30 donuts…still a standout (except when they offer the flag bundle).

  12. Homer should definitely have a job to ride it waving a cowboy hat
