It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.
So, here is your Open Thread…..
No new Simpsons this week, they’ve got a 1hr episode of Bob’s Burgers on instead. But you can still watch FXX or another Simpsons streaming option and check out “The Secret War of Lisa Simpson” (S8, E25) to check out most of the Rommelwood Academy items.
Speaking of Rommelwood, the mini event ends on Tuesday…have you unlocked everything yet? What are your thoughts about the mini event? Ready for what’s next? What do you think it’ll be?
Don’t forget Springfield Showoff will be up on Tuesday, so don’t forget to submit your Rommelwood designs by tomorrow night.

Not sure where to post this –
Is it just me or has:
1. The locate person icon doesn’t work any more
2. My pile of gold has srunk
3. My collect income “radius” has srunk
If anyone is planning on buying the beer-n-brawl in order to send repeatedly springfielders on the 6h premium task given by the quest.. it doesn’t work for some reason? I sent all my springfielders once, now nobody has the quest. I never sent lurleen to complete that part of the quest.
Evil Kitten is back! She tapped my town today, haven’t seen her name around in a minute! And by a minute I mean an exceptionally long time! If you’re reading this, Hi Neighbor and I hope things are well!
Hey Everybody, now that update hit I hope you see this & please pass on to UK site, my internet is down so using hotspot on phone way too slow with update & friend visits. If not back tomorrow I’ll go to lunch somewhere with wifi. Can’t even update email. DRATS not happy!

2 TSTO questions: 1. Does anyone know how many hotels and motels (like Royal Tokyo + Rio Days Inn-Ero are the most recent hotels) there are in total in the game? 2. What is the sound that plays when you tap the Tenta-Corp HQ building from the Halloween 2015 event? When you tap the Simpson House a doorbell is the sound is an example. (I already posted my first question in the previous open thread but didn’t know if anyone read it so I’m posting it here as well). 🙂
I think I have 5, not sure though . I don’t know what a lot of my buildings are, just how they look.
I’m full with friends, Debbie, I’m sorry if you want to leave your name on list when or if someone leaves I will put you first. I’m happy went through list and not one of you do I want/need to replace. I’m truly blessed to have best group in game! Don’t care what anyone says I have the best group of neighbors/friends.

I am only on level 100 and getting kinda bored with nothing to do. No missions to accomplish except the mini events and updates like the touists. I can still build on my monorail but that gets boring at times with it being the only thing to do. Does anyone know if a new update coming up or maybe when the app does like a bigger update like the traveling update. I am wonder how much longer i have to wait to have something to accomplish. Something new. I love this game and i have gome a few months or longer in between playing it at times. Recently I got my boyfriend playing the game. Now my addiction is a daily thing again. Haha. I am just curious what information anyone knows. Thanks guys
I finally won a mini nuke! After a year of sending the rocket up twice a day, I finally won the mini nuke from Lisa’s Eliminator task! I am so chuffed! I hope I don’t have to wait another year for another one.
Mini nuke? I didn’t know about that! What does it do? And I guess I better get going into space more often.
Is this the same mininuke from the Eliminator? Just a decoration, right? I thought it might be something that would nuke just a part of Springfield instead of the whole town. Which would be real helpful for partial reorganizing.
It’s not just a decoration…it comes with a good bonus % (2.5?)! That’s why it’s so desirable.
By my calculations, this is how many land squares I have left to purchase:
Ocean: 5 columns by 2 rows = 10 squares
Right side: 3 by 4, plus another 3 by 11 = 12 squares + 33 squares
Top side: 5 by 22 = 110 squares
Plus two more squares in springfield heights
For a grand total of 167 squares still to purchase! 😳😱
After my last town nuke in October 2016, I resolved to only place decorations that I truly enjoyed, & to not leave stuff out “just because.” (Kinda like a KonMari line of thinking for Tapped Out, I think.) It’s been working splendidly as I still have space left to fill from what I’ve previously purchased, and my town doesn’t feel cluttered!

I haven’t tapped much as of late, I’ve been trying at least once a day, with work and life recently I’ve appreciated the downtime with TSTO, especially after the three specials in one finale…
I’ll be back on board when I have a chance (or the next event 🙂 and also, an apologies to a recent neighbourino (princess. .. …) if I inadvertently recently sprayed your way, although I don’t mind spray backs I try to minimise my spraying neighbourinos 🙂

One interesting thing I found out recently. I got a cash prize challenge and dismissed it, hoping to get a donut prize. I got a SH latte task instead, which is currently full. I just ignored the task, and around 8 hours later an X appeared above that task and I could swap it and got donuts this time. I’ve now done this more than once, so when you get a second task you don’t want, just wait and you will probably get a third chance too.

Keep in mind that new people start playing this game all the time and, what’s old hat to folks like us, can be exciting news to newer players. Plus, let’s not discourage new people from posting here, which, for some folks, takes courage.

Well said. Far to often some tappers seem to forget not everyone has been playing for a long time. Just bear in mind many of us are still in a learning process & I for one welcome all the help I can get.

I actually didn’t know that, and I’ve been playing forever! Always thought after the first dismiss I was stuck doing the latte task (or yoga mat, coffee… it’s always SH that I hate getting as a daily task). All his time I’ve been buying crap I don’t want with the SH resources just so I can make more and clear the daily task! Now I know and I’ll wait it out! Thanks!
