Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
March 14th was Pi Day and here at Addicts and who doesn’t love an excuse for pie?! So to celebrate Pi Day 2017 we hosted a little contest, as is our tradition, where the winner wins…PIE!
So many of you entered and shared with us your favorite Pie…it made me so hungry I searched my house high and low for pie, sadly we were out. Fortunately, one lucky Addicts reader from the US won’t have that problem when they receive their pie sampler prize!
We had 2 winners for this year’s Pi Day contest, one from the US and one from outside of the US. (due to shipping issues we could only send pie to readers inside the US…) So let’s see who the Randomizer chose….

Pi day kind of went unnoticed – probably because we write our dates the other way round over here. 14.3. doesn’t look so much like Pi. Maybe we could have a Pi day on the 31.4. 😉
Yeah, sadly only 30 days in April. No Pi Day for the rest of the world 🙁
That’s why we have Approximate Pi Day on 22nd July (maths exams tell you to use 22/7 if you’re using a calculator without a pi button).

What exactly is “Dutch” Apple Pie?
Dutch apple pie has a streusal topping made with flour, brown or white sugar and butter or margarine. Basically the “crumb” top. 😉
Also known as “crunchy bits !!”

Unrelated to the topic, I have a question for our wise Addict moderators and savvy readers. Much to my displeasure, I am being forced to re-login to EA every day and download the same 695.6 MB update. Any theories as to why I’m required to do this? As you imagine, it’s very irritating to re-enter your username and password on a daily basis and download an “update” that seemingly has no impact on the game… especially when you’re away from WiFi and have to expend precious data to do so! Thanks so much in advance for any help.
Have you tried a complete uninstall, clearing your cache, and then reinstalling? Sounds like you have a corrupt file or something.
One other possibility…do you have a space issue? Make sure you delete any extra pictures, videos, and apps that you don’t need.
Thanks, Sandra! I did uninstall and reinstall. I also cleared my browser cache, but perhaps you meant a different cache? If so, hoping you can clarify. Lastly, my phone has a measley 16 GB (d’oh!), so I’m constantly running into storage issues and having to delete old photos 🙁 Anyway, I haven’t been forced to log in and update since the spy event started (knock on wood), so hopefully whatever was plaguing me is no more! 🙌🏻
Actually, I meant the application’s cache, but the uninstall should have taken care of that anyway, I think.
But it sounds like the uninstall/reinstall did the trick, if you haven’t been having the problem since then. 🙂
Besides my lesson to my Algebra students on the origin of Pi (which tanked :p) my wife, son, and I ate at Pieology for their $3.14 pizza deal and my wife bought us a Hostess apple pie to share. 🙂
I am quite fond of chicken pie and steak pie.
