As we sit here frakkin files, pulling pics, and typing a million words a minute to get our readers the latest updates and information…we find ourselves sometimes forgetting to stop and enjoy our own games. More so our neighboreenos. So we try to make it a point to hop in n out of the towns now and then to see what cool things YOU are up to. So we have decided we want to continue to focus more attention (as if we don’t already 😛 ) on YOU…our readers. Time to time we will be peaking into your towns, checking our Flickr, and also the posts in the comments below to see what cool ideas and designs YOU have come up with to make your towns unique and…well…YOU. So here is YOUR chance to show off all your hard work, time, donuts & in game cash spent. Send us your work, no matter how big or small. Brag about it to the world. We want you to. (That and Bunny loves to see other designs and get inspiration from it.) Then keep your eyes posted to Addicts to see if YOU end up on our “SPRINGFIELD SHOWOFF”.
The military event, long teased in the app store descriptions, as finally hit our towns and the kids of Springfield are about to get schooled at the finest Military Academy virtual money can buy…in Springfield. Yes, Rommelwood Academy is here with all the drills, in your face spitting yelling and military inspired items our pocket-sized Springfields (and wallets) can handle.
Now that the Rommelwood mini event has ended, I thought it would be a good time for another Springfield Showoff! This time featuring your Military inspired designs,as it can always be a little intimidating and frustrating trying to figure out just where to put all this stuff…so who better to turn to than our fellow Addicts? And as always you guys came through big time! You guys have some great designs and ideas so let’s take a look:

The show-offs keep getting better and better…so many wonderful designs this time. My favorite is rshelton’s Rommelwood…a simple, attractive, and balanced design…nice use of fencing and greenery.
Gee…loved the use of cones for “tank driving school”
Kimber…great geometric pattern with your roads
MAB…nice incorporation of Aqua World and piers
Nick…you said that you weren’t creative…your design says otherwise
Several people used the mech, the black helicopter, hover copters and Willy’s generator….all of which I will “pinch” directly after writing this…thanks for the inspiration😁

Nice job everyone. I like the way many incorporated the training walls into the obstacle course.
Every time you do one of these Showoffs, I am amazed about the many different ideas people come up with, using the same basic ingredients. Well done, everybody!

I also find it interesting what else is used in each design – the idea of using the training walls, for example, didn’t even remotely occur to me

I was surprised that someone included Willie’s generator – but it makes perfect sense. Seems like something they would make recruits do. Over and over and over again. And it’s something that never quite fit in anywhere in my town so far.
I love ebron’s idea of putting water around the eliminator and Jahmin22’s clean layout! Great designs everyone!
