The spies are invading Springfield! Yes, the Secret Agent update has hit our games. We’ve got hacking, drones, dossiers and a shrinking donut bank account because there are LOADS of spy items in our stores just tempting us with those sprinkles!
Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything that looks awesome because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the Mastermind Hank Scorpio? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this evil genius to your Springfield…
Costume: Mastermind Hank Scorpio
Decoration: Globex Balloon
Donut Price: 120 Donuts
Conform-O-Meter: Balloon is Vanity +200
Bonus %/Earns: Nothing, Nada, Zlich. I hope it’s an oversight because that’s kinda crummy. Especially considering you can buy more balloons in the store for donuts after you purchase this one. Hopefully EA adjusts.
Alternative: If you do not have Hank Scorpio you’ll be offered Hank with the Mastermind costume (and the Volcano Lair) for 160 donuts, with a 40 Donut rebate so NET 120 donuts. Again this comes with Hank Scorpio, Mastermind Hank Costume and the Volcano Lair. This option does not come with the Globex Balloon
Opinion On Hank Scorpio: If you’re offered the rebate option, BUY IT. Hank Scorpio is one of my favorite characters..and his test the Flame Thrower has been my favorite task in TSTO for nearly 5 years! Take advantage of the offer and buy it. Note: You will have to go into your inventory to pull out the Mastermind Hank Costume, no matter which option you purchase. And ONLY the Mastermind Hank costume collects intel, regular Hank Scorpio does not. So you’ll have to use the costume (from inventory) to see tasks at the HQ to collect intel.
Also, you DO NOT need to do the questlines associated with Hank Scorpio or Mastermind Hank to start collected intel at the HQ. In fact you should ignore those questlines until the event is over. Use Mastermind Hank to collect all of the intel you can…

Pros
-Decent outdoor tasks, although his new upgraded flame thrower is just awesome
-Earns “super premium” at the HQ, 80 intel/4hrs instead of 60/4hrs like the other premium characters
Cons
-It’s a costume premium costume for an already premium character
-The balloon doesn’t offer a bonus %
-Despite Mastermind Hank earning “super premium” at the HQ he doesn’t earn “super premium” for regular jobs. Which means his Mastermind cash earning jobs pay the same as his regular Hank Scorpio jobs.
Final Thought
Premium:
So logically (if you’re offered Mastermind Hank and the Balloon), this is a pass. It’s way over priced and under whelming. BUT I like that he earns super premium at the HQ and his flame thrower task gets me every time. So I spent donuts on this one (although I passed on Camera Hat Homer). So if you love the flame thrower task as much as I do, this may be one you’ll want to pick up. Otherwise, i’d pass. It is very over priced for what is is/does.
Freemium:
If you already have Hank and are contemplating this costume…pass. Save your donuts for better stuff coming up. However, as I mentioned above, if you don’t have Hank and are offered the full combo (with original Hank and the lair) pick it up. But for just the costume and balloon, pass.
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do. And I can tell you as a premium player, I already picked him up. Seriously guys it’s the flame thrower task. Gets me every time. Just remember this is limited time, and will be leaving our stores soon. Whatever you decide, So be sure to make your final decision before it’s gone from our games for good. (or for now..)

I just bought the globex balloon but wasn’t offered and didn’t receive mastermind Hank Scorpio….any ideas as to why?

Sometimes they do, sometimes they don’t. This one was one of those annoying they don’t ones. Threw a bunch of people off.
finally after almost 3 years playing I was able to purchase him, he and Duffman were my 2 favorite premium that I never were able to afford, Scorpio was priced like 240 donuts before the event, same Duffman, with the deals I finally have them, now I feel empty… hahaha, can anyone please point me the KM farming post?
Scorpio has been on my wishlist since the day I saw him. But so many other things to save up for with this rebate, I can finally get him, guilt free.
I probably won’t have enough until the final act, so I’m going to have to pass on my second choice, Femme Fatale and half price Knightboat.
Had Hank but bought the new upgrade but I didn’t get the balloon.
Can we leave Mastermind’s quest till after the event?

I took the plunge and purchased this today. I didn’t have Hank Scorpio, so this was a no brainer for me. I’ve been behind for some reason with the calendar; so, I hope that this will help me catch up!
I splurged today once I finally had gathered the required 160 donuts to purchase the Hank/Mastermind skin/Volcano lair combo. Good choice to do so, although I’m already a good day ahead, this will help me stay ahead later in the event when I’m back at school and exceptionally busy.
Me and a few other tappers have been looking all over the place to see where Mastermind Hank Scorpio came from.
My KEM farm size has tripled just to try get the Coliseum and Tatum deal before it expires in a couple of days. The Volcano lair is next on the acquisition list, but there is a lot more time to replenish the donut stash to be able to pay for him!
I like the upgraded flamethrower, though. Ordo Hereticus Inquisitor, anyone?
I kinda lost my damn mind yesterday and bought $100 in donuts and everything premium offered for this event, including all items from mystery briefcase…Prob not the smartest idea, but I wanted the little martian guy from Stonecutters event that I never got (was when I did events without any friends). As for Hank, since I felt based on the calendar I was way behind, I knew I had better buy everything possible that boosted currency payout if I wanted any chance to finish the event.
I know it’s probably random but how long did it take you to get alien man?

I love Hank (Chuck Conner!), & have had him for a while. I do wish his new skin would have added another character interaction to punch someone in the jaw though 😳😂😂😂
One thing I’ve caught notice of, if you do buy Homer’s camera hat skin, when you send everyone to collect tickets, regular Homer is the top character, if you skip him, the camera hat Homer is down in the list & earns more tickets, but if you’ve already selected regular Homer, you won’t see him. I hope this makes sense & helps whoever bought the skin 😊
I’ve had Hank for a while and love him. However, I won’t be buying a skin for him because I already have a flame throwing task. EA should have come up with some other cool task for the skin.

The lair was cool in the show but it is one ugly MFer that doesn’t fit in.
I bought the Volcano Lair / Mastermind Combo in my freemium B game, and all sorts of old quest lines popped up. One with CBG, another one with Dr. Colossus from the Superhero event. For the latter, even the dialogue style changes back to Superhero. I think I have four or five quests open now just from buying Hank.
I just got him and decided to break free of freemium to do it.
After i had placed him and set him to work getting intel, I noticed that I had a new item to buy. It was the balloon for 20 donuts. I bought it to have the complete set and it now sits next to my volcano lair. And it was still cheaper than buying the lair previously.
I hope this pops up for every one.
If they offered even .50% XP bonus, I would get it…but 20 donuts for a boost in vanity? No way….
