The spies are invading Springfield! Yes, the Secret Agent update has hit our games. We’ve got hacking, drones, dossiers and a shrinking donut bank account because there are LOADS of spy items in our stores just tempting us with those sprinkles!
Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything that looks awesome because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the Globex Compound to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this world domination HQ to your Springfield…
Building: Globex Compound
Decorations: Globex Operations Wing & Globex R & D Wing
Donut Price: 115 Donuts
Conform-O-Meter: Compound: Obedience +20, Operations Wing: Vanity +100, R & D Wing: Vanity +100
Bonus %/Earns: Nothing
Size: Compound: 6×11; Operations: 4×10; R&D: 10×4
What’s The Deal With This: So when you first purchase it you’ll get the Compound, 1 Operations Wing and 1 R&D Wing (they’ll go in your inventory). However, the Compound will let you build additional Operations and R&D Wings. Simply tap the Compound and you’ll have the option to build (similar to how you build Squidport tiles) more buildings. Each wing (Operations and R&D) costs $2,000 & takes 20hrs to build. And you can only build one at a time.

Pros
-Can build more components to build a massive Globex compound (or use the buildings elsewhere)
-Both Hank Scorpio (regular Hank) and Willie have a 1hr task at the Compound building. (Willie- Apply for Fancy Janitor Job, Earns $70, 17xp. Hank- Host a Lunch & Learn, Earns $105, 26xp)
-Compound is animated when in use, either via task there or when it builds a new wing
-R&D Wing and Operations Wing are animated when tapped
Cons
-Does not earn income, the compound only builds doesn’t bring in any additional income.
-No bonus % on the wings
-Can only build 1 building at a time & it takes 20hrs for each…slow going
Final Thought
Premium or Freemium:
This offers little value in the way of advancing game play, no bonus % no income. (although there are 1hr tasks there for 2 characters) So this purchase is going to purely be a design choice. If you like the look of the buildings, have a purpose for them & think you’ll get use out of “building” more wings..go for it. Otherwise, pass.
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do. And I can tell you as a premium player, I’m debating it. I have a couple of design ideas, just trying to decide if it’s worth pulling the trigger for them. Just remember this is limited time, and will be leaving our stores soon. Whatever you decide, So be sure to make your final decision before it’s gone from our games for good. (or for now..)

Keep getting a message that says “Building Warning, you currently have 6600 buildings and decorations in your Springfield” Does this mean that I have to clear decorations etc and make a bland Springfield with just blocks of plain buildings. Have been playing less than a year. Any comments appreciated😍🇬🇧
No – it’s just an early warning that you’re getting a bit closer to the max (which is something like 9,200…I forget the exact number).
You don’t need to have a “bland” town, but you may want to make some adjustments. For example, if you have fencing our other decorative f objects that are hidden behind buildings, you may want to store those pieces. (I’m not talking about bonus multiplier stuff, or wailing walls, which you may have intentionally hidden behind buildings…just stuff that ended up behind there as you were decorating.) You can also replace two one-space bushes with two-space bushes….stuff like that.
It is just a warning. At the moment the absolute maximum is 9.250 items in your Springfield. The items in your inventory don’t count for the total.

That’s good to hEAr. I hit the max item cEAling Some weeks ago at 9,250. I had to remove some stuff to place another building, so I sold all (400+) the Squidport fences. I saw the French Waiter stumble into the sea 🤣

The only problem you’ll really notice is sometimes graphics in your town will “glitch”. Make your town the way you like it, it will be fine 😊
I bought this thinking that the buildings would generate currency. I wish I read this first.
A tip for the future…if an item earns something (event currency, cash, bonus %), that info is usually included in the description. So, if I don’t see any mention of that, I usually assume it doesn’t earn anything, unless someone who purchased it says otherwise.
On the plus side, I’ve seen some nice decorating ideas done with those buildings, so maybe you can enjoy them, even if they don’t earn you anything. I enjoy my Monsarno complex (from an earlier event), even though it doesn’t earn anything. (Although, to be fair, I’m not sure that I spent any donuts on it…)
There is a possibility the buildings could earn $ or % in the future 😊 I’m mainly going for building design with them 😀

I am only getting half the schematic s from surveillance post. For example, when I finish tapping the soldiers, it says I should get 6 and I only get 3. Does this happen to anyone else
Guys i know this is unrelated but did anybody else experience the guys in tan no disapearing when tapped? Dont know if its been an error or what.. Sitting with 290 000 intel collected and level 9 on crafting.
It is a glitch. It has been reported several times. Just enjoy the opportunity to score bonuts EArly 🙂
I love these. Great design buildings. No plans yet but someday something will trigger an idea.
I like my Monsarno complex, but I’m not sure I want to devote more space to non-producing buildings that aren’t even really all that Simpsons related. For me, at this point, choices are sometimes more about the space than the donuts.
On the other hand, I do kinda like these buildings and I may end up putting that big matter building from this event (can’t remember what it’s called….the one we send the characters to every four hours to earn event currency), so that wood free up some space.
Decisions, decisions….
I ended up storing all my “non earning” Monsarno buildings a while ago, but you know my town…never the same for two weeks running. I may have to rethink all my Christmas stuff next and just keep out the bonus xp stuff…seems like it’s always time to downsize when new events are back to back to back….
The non earning Monsarno buildings now can be used during this event as they are hackable by neighbours
This event really going for my donuts – now Cypress Creek sign and school also available. Id buy all of that town asap but judging from act prizes, Most characters will be premium.. will have to wait for those to return one day, unless i break at the very last moment lol.
Heres hope for Ogdenville and other towns from Springfield state to follow after Bloodbath Gulch n CC (and Zenith City)…
When visiting other parks I noticed one had a Globex Balloon that was quite nice. I haven’t seen it available anywhere. Any idea how to get it?
It’s in the store. It comes as a bundle with Mastermind Hank Scorpio skin. If you already bought that, after that the balloon will be available for 20 donuts each.
It is for sale at 20 donuts in the Secret Agents department of The Store.
It should be in your store…either as part of a bundle (Scorpio skin and balloon) or alone (if you are also offered the whole Scorpio bundle with the lair). My guess is you have Scorpio, so the balloon is probably offered with the new skin.
Really really disappointed by these not earning anything, given the price. I know loads of buildings from the last event don’t either, but at least those were craftable.
I’m hoping that they may earn after a while…until then, at least they look cool😎.

I really want to make a Cypress Creek area because a lot of the items from the event are from that episode in that town 😂. Really hard choice!
I hope the building pays a bonus eventually. But I bought it thinking it would produce event currency . ..

Really like the Heights design, but I really wish we had a “mirror image” function so the ops wing on the left could be flipped so its tower would be inside the courtyard like the one on the right. I like symmetry! And would use this feature on other items like the valet parking.

I just bought the Globex compound and looked through all of my neighbors to get ideas. Gotta say…don’t be surprised if you’re visiting my town at some point and one part of it looks awfully familiar, lol! 😉

Well, I was on the fence like Alissa until I saw Ebron’s clever designs. Now I’m much closer to pulling the trigger. So I guess you could say I’m now… falling off the fence? Put another way, if the fence were a wall and I were Humpty Dumpty… then all the king’s horses and all the king’s men, unbeknownst to them, are moments away from trying to put me back together again. 🙂
This event is great for FINALLY giving an opportunity to use Heights and SciFi buildings with some context. The look and color schemes fit perfectly. I already turned the Level 5 Business Centers into Scorpio’s fortress.
At this point for me it’s all about city design- not doughnuts. i like to buy things that will enhance the look of my city. Specialty buildings help distinguish my town from others (hopefully).
Anyone know if there is an xp payout is for crafting additional buildings? I crafted maximum Squidport and Boardwalk tiles just to get good amounts of xp. Doing similar thing with Great Wall crafting currently. Excess items just goes in storage.
There is no extra XP for crafting additional buildings, sadly.
