It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

The Secret Agent event hit our games last week, what are your initial thoughts on the event? How are you doing in your prize track?

Like many it seems, long time lurker, first time posting. After not being able to log several times today, I finally got into my account to find my Springfield GONE. But also, not really. I’m still at my customer level, have all my donuts and roads and lakes and such are all still there. What’s really confusing is my buildings seem to be in my inventory and there are Men in Gray still walking around! (When I tap them, they disappear down the hole, then reappear instantly in the same place). I’ve restarted the app several times, logged in and out of my account, and even reset my phone several times. I reached out to EA hours ago but have yet to get a response.
Has anyone had anything like this happen to them before? Any ideas of what to do? I’ve been tapping for years and am terrified I’ve lost all my work. Thank you for your time!
This may be sikky, but based on everything else you’ve tried….

Not playing anonymously?
If so, maybe Uninstall and then reinstall the game?
Is Russ Cargill a good deal at 80 donuts?
Does anyone know what street lights looks good with the new items from this Secret Agents event, (such as the Squidport lights look nice with the Around the World items)or is there going to be some available with crafting.
This event takes me back to my childhood of loving all things spy related. I plan on purchasing every premium item they throw at me. So far so good. Everything is finished and I’m ready to move on to the next act. Another round or two of bonuts is all that there is for me. I’m saving up the story lines for most my new characters, except for Mr. Bont. Already went through his and it is hilarious.
Hi there. Long time lurker ….first time poster. I am wondering if anyone else is having the same issue with something. i have the zombie sandwich in my Springfield and i notice that ever since a recent update for the current event, the selection of available characters for the 1 hour task does not automatically go to the next available character. the characters no longer scroll and seems to be frozen but if close out the zombie sandwich window and re-open it, it show the character that were selected for the tasks along with the time remaining. is this a known glitch that can be fixed somehow? i like using the zombie sandwich becuz it pays premium 1 hour tasks for certain characters. I have tried logging out, logging in, rebooting but nothing seems to work.
Unfortunately this is a problem most if not all are having. I am sure they will fix it when they can. 🙂
Hi Guys – i have about 180 donuts and im unsure what to buy with it? im interested with that amount of donuts what everyone else would buy and what to recommend me to buy? Thanks in advance for your help
I would look at any of the discount items that were released with this event and get any you don’t have already. Also buying items with a good bonus % is always a good investment.
Just got the Screamapilliar. It’s funny as all hell. Of all the seemingly useless decoration items it is my favorite. Aaaaaaaaaaagh. Aaaaaaagh. Lmao
I’m not sure what’s going on, but I am having a hard time keeping up with this prize timeline. I am a busy mom, so I can’t be on all day, but I make sure to tap at least 3-4 times a day, but I am still a day behind. It’s bumming me out and kind of discouraging me. Is anyone else having a difficult time?
I’m finding this event kind of meh. It takes forever to craft anything and I’m not in love with the theme because its giving out more futuristic buildings and I already have too many from the future event. I like the coffeehouse but I was really hoping for a Springfield University event featuring a lot of regular style town buildings. My town always needs more regular stores and restaurants. I don’t buy donuts and I have only experimented with farming a little so I never have enough donuts for the premium stuff. I also read in another thread that you can somehow get donuts from perfection? How? I plant it every day wait the 45 seconds and only get the 10 dollars it gives you. I’ve never gotten a donut. It’s as pointless as the space shuttle. I don’t need 4000 Hail Ants signs either.
The donuts for perfection is a daily challenge that comes up every once in a while.
I broke down and spent my precious donuts on the Hank Scorpio/Volcano Lair. There was supposed to be a skin with that package and I am not seeing it. Am I missing something?

I am really enjoying the event so far👍,and I especially love having an abundance of tappables in my neighbors towns.
EA…is there any reason that during non-event breaks, all the tappables have to be linked to uncollected cash? Lots of us collect pretty regularly and that leaves nothing for our neighbors to tap…they get mad, and I feel guilty collecting money. Obviously, the tappables don’t have to be linked this way, every event proves that. Can’t you come up with a default tappable system that is also independent of cash during non-event playing? Come on…we know you can do it😁😁😁
Obtained “Dentz” prize earlier and working on the final prize. It’s going to be a busy week, so I’m super glad I’m far ahead of the time table.
Rumor (RUMOR) has it that good things are coming – grrrrrr – I know this is about dangling good stuff today and tomorrow we have no donuts so we must spend real $$$$$ to buy donuts to purchase the good stuff that wasn’t available “yesterday” when we spent the last of our donuts.

For the record, there will always been SIB posts for new content unless otherwise noted. It would have gone up today, but the Gil deal hit today, which impacted my planning. So you’ll see it tomorrow.

It’s going to be a toss up on getting it or not. the Sign doesn’t give any bonus% and the school doesn’t give any event currency so it would just be a building and a combo cost of 105 donuts, not sure if it’s worth it.
A neighbor has the parachute target and I busted out laughing! Can’t wait for that one! This is my favorite event so far and thank goodness the exasperating flow is slowly but surely getting there.
I have to say that I’ve been a loyal tapper since Halloween 2012. But lately I’m not feelin’ the game so much. Everything costs donuts and it’s so expensive… Gil deal almost 200 donuts for 3 characters. I’ve been feeling so blah lately.
