So let’s breakdown the details of this latest offer and determine if you should spend your donuts on this nerdy trio….
So when you first get into Springfield today you’ll see Gil waving his arms around..like he’s doing a bad rendition of “Shake it Off”…just begging you to tap on him…
If you tap on him you’ll see…
Gil: Hey, can I interest you in three computer nerds who are faster than fiber optic, more powerful than China’s Tianhe-2 supercomputer, and able to leap firewalls in a single click?
At which point you’ll see the latest offer…
If you refuse…
Gil: No deal? You’ll regret that when your gas and electric bill goes to the spam folder…..you don’t pay it on time and they cut off your heat and you’re taking sink baths at the public library. How did this become about me?

So now what I assume most of you are here for…Should You Buy this Nerdy Trio? Let’s break down the details…
Characters: Gary, Benjamin & Doug
Donut Price: 195 Donuts…(or 65 Donuts Each)
Offer Ends April 14th, 2017
Pros:
-Three Full Premium Characters for Springfield
-All three are Voiced (Sampling below..)
-Come with a questline
-Earn Event Currency at the HQ, Super Premium so 80 Intel each.
-Hilarious Visual tasks
-Despite Having a joint 4hr task then each also have an individual 4hr task, so you should be able to assign them on tasks via Office of Unemployment
-As far as Gil’s Gimmicks go…this one is decently priced for THREE full characters (works out to 65 donuts each. For comparison sake, Bumblebee Man is 65 donuts, Dr. Nick is 90 & Jimbo is 120…yes there are less expensive ones, like Squeaky voiced teen who is 30 donuts. But the nerds are about average priced)
Cons:
-One of their 2 visual tasks is a joint task for all 3 characters
-No Springfield University with this offer

Premium:
Buy this trio. It’s a good price, as far as Gil goes, for three full characters in Springfield. Three characters whom many of you have been requesting. Not only that, but they earn “super premium” at the HQ (80 intel/4hrs EACH…an additional 240 intel/4hrs when you send all 3). The biggest downside is Springfield University didn’t come with the bundle, but beyond that it a good value!
Freemium:
As far as Gil’s offers go…this one is good. It’s fairly priced for 3 characters. And the three characters offer just about everything you’d look for in a premium character during an event: Reasonably priced, Voiced, Funny Visual tasks & helps to earn event currency.
Freemium players, if you have the donuts I’d take this offer.
Of course in the end it’s completely your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do. And I can tell you, as a premium player, I’ve already picked this trio up! Just remember, they are limited-time. So whatever you decide be sure to make your final decision before they leave our games on the 14th.

Why release this trio with the Secret Agent Event? They’re not spies…
Best I can figure is, they’re nerds and they hack. This event has a lot of hacking….makes sense to connect the two in that way.
But then again…what do I know. I’m the one who thought Rommelwood to a Spy event was a nice connection/transition….

Man, why didn’t I read this like ages ago…..Oh Yer, eat, sleep, work, no time for rooting about. Sighs….. if only I’d known I’d be in a far better place currency wise, I fear I shall never meet Bunt, so shall never be able to say…ah, Mr Bunt, we meet again.
I think I’ll wait, in case they are released with steampunk skins
I’m really tempted to get this deal. But I’m hoping that the classic Albanian spy/foreign exchange student Adil Hoxha will appear in act 2 or 3. I bought the chateau maison (with Cesar & Ugolin) in the last Destination Springfield event; so Adil would be a great addition to my game! I really want everything from season 1, especially from “The Crepes of Wrath” episode because it is my all time favourite episode!
I got it, but this leaves me with very few donuts for Act 2. Hope I wasn’t hasty.

I’ve been waking up at the 4hr timer alarm during the night as well to catch up… Now I can go back to my 3-4 times a day routine 🙂
It was a lot of donuts at once… (I try to be freemium and kem-farm small scale, but I often – too often – cave in and buy-in on the good deals) but I think it will be well worth it!

What do you recommand?
If I had to choose, I think the nerds are the best offer. Three seperate premium characters for a very good price, they are voiced and even help with the event. Also consider they are only available for about a week and then you’d have to wait until they return in the future, which could be in one of these mystery boxes EA has started to like to offer.
The rebates for the constantly offered characters are tempting. But these days there are lots of options to earn free donuts, so could always get them later on anyway.

Gil’s Gimmicks – I always tend to ignore them, but this time 3 Nerds at 65 Donuts apiece is a great deal (worth it if you’re needing help earning game currency) 👍👌

So after a lot of indecision I finally decided to part with my hard earned donuts and purchase the 3 nerds bundle,but instead of 195 donuts it took 350 of my donuts.Has anyone else had this issue?and can anyone suggest the best way to contact EA.Thanks.
If I had the donuts I would buy them.
But I don’t so I won’t. Pity they did not offer them individually say at 70 each so some folks with less donuts could be helped along with the event.

What are the chances of getting a Spriingfield U event since they have already made them? I’d say pretty good. I think I should wait. Do you think they would be more expensive or less expensive next time they get offered?
OMG, do Gil deals get offered a 2nd time??? What if they are a 1 time exclusive? Do you think so mods?
Way back when they were a one shot deal, which is why you really wanted to purchase it if you could (assuming it was something you wanted), but now I have seen many of Gil’s deals come back, so I just treat it like any other possible purchase. Odds are it will be back later for the same or less donuts.

I’m thinking this may just be the start of something. I can’t see these three coming alone. Maybe a Springfield University event this summer?
