Should I Spend Donuts On Cypress Creek Elementary?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

The spies are invading Springfield!  Yes, the Secret Agent update has hit our games.  We’ve got hacking, drones, dossiers and a shrinking donut bank account because there are LOADS of spy items in our stores just tempting us with those sprinkles!

Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything that looks awesome because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add Cypress Creek Elementary to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this Scorpio inspired Elementary School to your Springfield…

Building: Cypress Creek Elementary
Donut Price: 70 Donuts
Conform-O-Meter: Vanity +200
Earns: $200, 22xp/8hrs
Size: 5×11

Leaves Stores April 11th

Pros
-Youngsters have a task there (all kids but Maggie and Gerald) to Go on a Field Trip, 1hr.  (Earns $105, 26xp Premium, $70xp, 17xp Freemium)
-Animated when in use, lights turn on doors open
-Completes “Cypress Creek Area” if you’re building one

Cons
-No questline associated with it
-Pricey for just a building

Final Thought
Premium or Freemium:
Here’s another one that’s in the “if you like it” category.  If you’re building a Cypress Creek area, this would be a key component.  But if you’re not needing it for a design element, I’d pass.  Just too pricey with not enough reward to invest in for any other reason.

Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do.  And I can tell you as a premium player, I’m still trying to decide.  It’ll depend on what I end up doing design wise.  Just remember this is limited time, and will be leaving our stores soon.  Whatever you decide, So be sure to make your final decision before it’s gone from our games for good. (or for now..)

What are your thoughts on Cypress Elementary?  Will you be picking it up or have you already?  Where have you placed it in your Springfield?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. Shouldn’t ALL the kids earn at a Premium rate, since it’s a Premium Building?

It’s these sorts of things I don’t understand, why sometimes it works that way, and sometimes it doesn’t. For instance, I would think Bart’s grape stomping task would earn Premium, as it’s a Premium item, but he doesn’t. But I thought other Premium buildings have paid out Premium for non-premium characters doing a task there??

  2. As much as I want to build Cypress Creek, this event got too much premium stuff i want going for me to spend all donuts right now… i bought that useless sign thought, so this betyer return in near future!

  3. I wasn’t going to get it…somehow it ended up in my town. Funny how these things work. 😅

  4. Is the Springfield heights glitch still going on because my deluxe condos are missing when I store them

  5. Who could I talk to at EA about making this function more like the zombie dumpster? Cycling through my characters to find kids feels very tedious.

  6. I bought it. Schools are impt for the town to prosper in the long run

  7. Small update, now all tan man tap give one schematic !!

  8. I already have five schools in my town. It’s a little ridiculous.

    • Well, small class sizes are good….

Maybe the bullies can be spread out, one per school. Share the pain.

  9. Apropos of nothing, dummy boy here just realised his Hank Scorpio ‘Mastermind’ skin was in the inventory rather than something that was earned via a questline. Sometimes I amaze myself with my lack of common sense 😃

I amuse myself that way every day. Remember the quote, “Cleverest of all I think, is the man who calls himself a fool at least once a month.” I do it daily.

Is anyone else hoping for some cypress creek houses, rather than using existing buildings? 🙂

  11. I moved here from Canada and they think I’m slow.. eh?

It was an instant pass for me. Costs way too much for a building that basically does nothing, other than offering a single 1 hour task for the Springfield kids. I really have enough schools already, I don’t need to add another (mostly useless) one. I think EA puts out some of these less-than-useful, over-priced items simply because there are plenty of people who simply must have everything to ‘complete’ their towns. Other folks mileage may vary though.

  13. Making a small Cypress Creek area in front of the Headquarters/Lair…just enough for the school and maybe 2 houses…and of course a hammock.

  14. I wish there was a Cypress Creek promenade gate coming up, similar to the one for Springfield Heights. And the Spend Zone of course. I believe the Hammock District will be one of the prizes or a premium item. I’ve had a CC-like area in Springfield Heights since I unlocked it. It is an upscale shopping and dining district. Now I can expand it and tie it together.

    • That would be a nice way to section off CC. Good idea with Springfield Heights, but I need more land up there! I’m going to try to carve out an area between “mountains” using the volcano lair and other nature items to separate my CC for now.

  15. Cypress Elementary – permanent 1 hour Tasks for kid characters is all you get, but kid characters already come with 1 hour Tasks (sorry, EA, I pass on this) 👎

  16. I’m having issues with the zombie sandwich. If I send a person on the zombie task he/she still has start next to their name, but they did change into a zombie. If i try to send multiple people I end up with a list that repeats the same +/- 10 characters over and over.
I tried uninstalling and installing the game, but no luck. Anyone else with this issue or a solution?

I contacted EA but they are asking for permission to login into my account to help them with investigating this issue. Can I trust this? It seems an official mail and they’re not asking for my password.

    • Mines doing this too. Im just putting up with it.

    • I have allowed EA to log into my account several times over the years to fix issues in my game, I have never had any issues with giving them this permission, and EA has been able to restore lost content, fix issues, and, on rare occasion, give me donuts if a problem was egregious enough. To be safe, take a screenshot on your game showing how many donuts and how much in-game cash you have before giving EA your login info.

Freemium characters jobs should have premium payout on premium buildings…

I will not buy content with this kind of “glitch”….

    • Good point, hadn’t thought of that.

    • They do. I just cycled through and it was a premium payout for all my kid characters. Or at least it showed that it was when I clicked the task. I guess I never added up the actual payout when they’ve finished, though.

  18. Really like the look of this one.

  19. I am a bit hazy on the origins of this one – I would really appreciate a WDTCF on the Cypress Creek stuff. Or at least the episode it came from, so I can check it out myself. Thanks!
