Secret Agents Act 2 is Live!

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Act 2 has arrived….so have at it my friends!

Your mission this morning, should you choose to accept it, is to enter the realm   of Secret Agents Act 2.  Where we’ll continue to tap those conspicuous Men in Tan, battle agents in the Drone Scan, proceed with those dossiers and unlock a whole new set of prizes!

Remember…this is an automatic change in your game.  Nothing to download, it should just start up in your game..

Hank, Krusty, Skinner & Homer will start this for you with dialogue.  This will be followed by a 4hr task for Homer.

Act 2 runs until April 25th

Just what does Act 2 have in store for us?  Let’s take a look…

New Prize Currency for Act 2.

 Personal Intel

Oh floppy disks (that don’t flop) I’ve been transported back to the 90s and my childhood…

So the ability to earn Cheap Intel is now gone.  Your counter prize track for Act 2 has reset to zero because you have zero Personal Intel.  So forget about those hand written notes, it’s time to spring into the 90s with floopy disks!

You’ll earn Personal Intel very similar to how you earned Cheap Intel in Act 1….

-Tasks at the HQ (Remember Mastermind Hank, the Nerds and Russ Cargill all earn super premium. And Agent Bont (regular rate) can earn intel there too)
-Completing Daily Dossiers
-Daily Challenges ( Earning Varies)
-Tapping MIT (Men In Tan) throughout Springfield
-Hacking Buildings in a neighbor’s town
-Clearing Hacked Buildings in your town

You’ll also earn intel from the questline…

Men in Tan

They’re still there…for Act 2 they earn 12  and 3  Remember not every MIT will drop Schematics..

Dossier Tasks

Situation Room Tasks are still there, the G.H.O.S.T track launched last Saturday.  You can find the tasks and more details here.

Act 2 Personal Prizes

Twelve Day Dry Cleaners- 6,450

ico_stor_single_freelandtokenFree Land Token- 14,750

Lava Machine- 25,850

Underground HQ- 39,700 (this is a SKIN for the HQ, not a separate building)

600 Schematics- 48,000

You Only Own Twice Pawn Shop- 60,000

 Wayne Slater- 74,800

Bonuts are still there after prize track is complete.

Act 1 Prizes…

If you didn’t collect them all… you can still access them by tapping on the “ACT ONE PRIZES” tab in the Personal Prizes area. As you can no longer collect items for them, your only option now is to pay donuts to outright buy each one left at the point you left off at. (Just like every other event recently.)

Act 2 Crafting

Crafting remains, as it was during Act 1, for Act 2.

Schematics for crafting are earned via the prize track, Daily Challenges, tapping MIT & completing the Dossier track

New Items in the Store..

 Femme Fatale- 60 Donuts

Returning stuff

USS Tom Clancy- 50 Donuts (ends tomorrow 4/12) original SIB post here

Buckingham Pay-Less Motel- 55 Donuts

Super Collider- 70 Donuts

Toggle Animation

There’s a new Toggle Animation switch at the Drone Scan that activates or deactivates spy animations.

And before you ask…

Here’s a list of posts we’re working on that should be up soon…

-Act 2 Calendar
-Act 2 walkthrough
-SIB for New Content
-And more!

And that my friends concludes the quick rundown of Secret Agents Act 2!

Remember this is just a quick rundown…as we have time to play through Act 2 ourselves we’ll break everything down in more detail.  If you need help with the basics check out the Secret Agent Event Page in the meantime.

Thoughts on Act 2?  Just like Act 1?  Excited about these prizes?  How’d you do with your Act 1 prizes?  Will you be buying any of the new premium items? Sound off in the comments below.  You know we love hearing from you!

  1. Oops, posted this on the Act 1 page, but here is my gripe:
Seems from what I’m reading here that I have no chance of finishing any of the acts. I have no premium characters, but I’ve been tapping like mad for the whole event. And I’m still days away from finishing. It’s coming across as a cynical exercise from EA in forcing people to purchase donuts for the premium characters just so they can finish.

  2. What does the file box in the Task List do? It has a number “1” by it and when I tap on it it opens up to show donuts and a trophy but does not list a task to do.

  3. I went into my App Store to see what was waiting updates. Guess what? Yep, the Simpsons Act 2 update. It had already updated automatically yesterday. Before I realized it, I had hit update all because I had other apps that needed updates. When I went back in to my Springfield, and I’m not sure, but I think it took away some of my floppies and schematics.

  4. Question: what about the atomic bomb? I’ve been trying to get that limited-time item using Lisa/Eliminator and rocket launches, where they were a (rare) prize. Is it still available as a prize for those tasks, or is it now unavailable since it’s no longer for sale as a limited-time item?

  5. Got Femme Fatale the day I saw her! She’s like a female Russ Cargill, earns Super Premium, not voiced, two animated tasks, 60 Minutes and 4 Hours! Still happy I spent 60 donuts instead of 80 for super premium Intel! 🙂

  7. What happened To Duffman and brewery? I know special 60 donuts back was limited but now can’t find him for regular donut price either? Under character, building, event? Where is he hiding?

  8. Loving this event. Now that I know the billboard can be animated I might craft a bunch of em. Not a huge fan on the design on Femme Fatale. I understand why there aren’t more female characters in the game. The ratio in the game of men to women is actually higher in the game than it is in the show. Just not a lot to pick from but when they do offer a female, sheesh. I get that the show often shows females in this role so it makes sense, just not a fan.
And a favor to anyone who rushes to get everything right away, please don’t put everything around yr HQ. I’ve got a neighbor who had all act 2 prizes just randomly laying around their HQ, I adverted my eyes. Too early to see that much, still undecided if I’m going to drop them as I don’t want the same to happen in act 3.

    • agreed! weird most fans of the game see this female portrayal as normal. the only thing that really stops me from loving the game.

  9. Wayne Slater – doesn’t sound fimiliar. I was hoping since it was secret agents/detectives mixed with celebrities that it was McGarnigle (Clint Eastwoodish character) seen from TV movie clips “Hey, I’m trying to eat my lunch here”

Wasn’t he the the new security guard that wouldn’t fist bump homer then they kind of became friends then homer gets kidnapped? I’ll have to double check..
(Btw, sorry to my friends, I was kind of really busy during act 1, but I have started getting back again, running out of donuts so might need to get 300 if anything worth buying comes along)

  10. So, I’ve always been pretty zen about how I play the game, and I don’t expect neighbours to visit me every day, especially between events, etc. but after seeing other people play as hard as me and get more out of their games, largely because of having good neighbours, I started tracking last event and this event. I still don’t need a daily visit, but fair warning here – if you’ve clearly been playing the game (based on your event currency counts) and you have not visited me once in Act 1, you are officially on the chopping block – to be removed as soon as I have a suitable replacement neighbour (i.e. one who will visit me at least every two days approx. during events). Thank you. I am more lax between events, but try to visit daily and usually succeed, during events.

    • Carmen (gameid5000)

Perhaps a three day window during events. Since most events only allow 90 taps (30 neigbours…) I know I only visit until I stop getting event currency for the day, which means it takes three days to cycle my 100 good neighbours.

      • That’s all good – even less doesn’t bother me. Only when I see people actively playing (very high event currency, lots of buildings, etc.) and the visit count is zero for an entire act. No more, thanks. I appreciate people are busy. I don’t get there every day either, but I do generally tap everyone if I can, because it’s lots of XP for bonuts and the chance of finding donuts. Free premiium currency – I’m in!

        • I feel the same. The neighbors that tap through all of their friends only get more donut chances and everyone on the other side gets the bonus. It’s too bad not everybody goes through all their friends. It may take a little extra time but it helps the other person immensely.

  11. so this is the new (and probably only) female character? what a disappointment!
is it too much to ask for a cool female agent in a suit? or literally anything other than a femme fatale? super lame, guys.

  12. Whew, with every-four-hour alarms yesterday, I got within 500 intels of Bont and figured it would be worth a small amount of donuts to get him, but with three minutes to go (thank you, being on Pacific Time), the drone scan reset and I got him for intel only just as the act expired. Whoo hoo!

  13. I find the Act 2 prizes a little underwhelming. I hope Act 3 are better.

  14. maybe just a reminder, if you do BUY Femme Fatale – you can skip her quest line until after you complete/collect all the prizes. maybe even wait till after the even is over. just maybe… it’s up to each of you. 🙂

Femme Fetale was an instant purchase. I’ve bought all of the new characters this round except the new skins. I’m really looking forward to the Kill Bill character Go-Go homage. Did she appear in an episode I don’t remember? What will her name be… “Shoo-Shoo” perhaps? I’m up to abut 5,000 in currency today with holdover…will have dry cleaners today I think. I have 17 playable characters to earn currency…the most for any event I can remember. Home is on a non intel task as a sleeper agent for next hour. I use leftover characters for recycling/rail production and keep everyone else on 4 or 24 hour tasks. I’m in my game 5-6 times a day. I had over 100k in cheap intel by end and received multiple bonuts.

    The currency…

Ahhh…brings back memories of playing Oregon Trail from a floppy disk school long before we had a home computer. I had a Nintendo but no home computer. My Mom bought an electronic typewriter when I was in 7th grade and I thought that was the coolest thing I had ever seen.
