Looks like Easter has hit Springfield after all! Yesterday, Easter Sunday, EA dropped several Easter themed items in our towns. Most were returning, but there was one new item for those long time players to debate over.
Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything that looks awesome because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the Returning Easter items to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding these Easter throwbacks to your Springfield…

Characters
Character: Shary Bobbins
Donut Cost: 125 Donuts, Rebate 15 Donuts, NET 110 Donuts

My Opinion On Her Now: She’s come back a couple of times, this is the first time I recall her at a discount though. Was originally free, but A LOT of players missed out because of the “Easter 2014 Mystery Box drama”…so now is your chance to get her for a whopping 110 donuts. Great character, iconic episode, and I adore Mary Poppins…BUT in reality she is over priced for a stand alone. So if you have your sights set on her, grab her. Otherwise pass…because she is over priced.
Character: Hugs Bunny
Donut Cost: 100 Donuts, Rebate 30 Donuts, NET 70 Donuts

My Opinion On Him Now: Good price for a stand alone, 60-70 is typical. Hilarious character with a seriously amusing task with Homer. BUT his best task is a joint task that requires..Homer. But with the rebate, I’d say he’s not a bad pickup. Again, he was originally free and has come back a time or two…so now’s your chance to pick him up at a discounted price if you missed out before.
Character: Egg Council Guy
Donut Cost: 40 Donuts

My Opinion On Him Now: This is an NPC. Tap him you’ll see an egg roll….if you like NPCs he’s a decent price. But if you’re not keen on NPCs, pass. Save your donuts for something better.

Building: Blocko Store
Donut Cost: 30 Donuts
Earns: $200, 20xp/12hrs
Task: Chalmers has a 2hr task there

My Opinion On It Now: Good price for a fun building. Task for Chalmers is an added bonus. If you have the donuts and don’t already own this one I’d pick it up.
Decorations…
Decoration: Easter Island God
Donut Cost: 100 Donuts, 40 Back, NET 60 Donuts
Earns: 3% bonus on all cash and XP

My Opinion On It Now: 60 donuts for a 3% bonus is a good rate for donuts spent. (40 donuts should get you 2%) Originally, at 100 donuts this was a pass. But with the rebate offer now this is a decent pickup. So if you’re looking to increase your bonus % pick this one up.
Decoration: Faberge Egg
Donut Cost: 100 Donuts, 70 Back, NET 30 Donuts
Earns: 3% bonus on all cash and XP

My Opinion On It Now: GREAT price for bonus %. Best buy of the Easter offerings! Buy it.
Decoration: Easter Flag
Donut Cost: 10 Donuts
Earns: .25% bonus on all cash and XP
My Opinion On It Now: If you like it get it, otherwise pass. Bonus % isn’t that great for donuts spent, but it’s a decoration. So if you like it and have a need grab it.

I am gritting my teeth as I consider buying Shary Bobbins. As one of those people who played the H-E-double-toothpicks out of the event when she was free and never won her, I’m still annoyed. That she’s still expensive with a minor rebate for no building, no voice adds to the irk factor. So I’m not sure if I’ll buy her. *muttering*
Finally having Father Sean and Shary Bobbins after all this time is so nice!
I got the Blocko store as I keep missing out and I think 30 donuts is a really good deal for a fun looking building. I always tap on it when I visit other Springfields so I am happy to finally have it.
The Faberge Egg is one of my favorite items ever b/c I did win it back during the event that shall not be named. Glad to get Shary Bobbins. Already had Blocko and fits in nicely in my Springfield Mall area.
Was going to pick up Shary Bobbins this time, but even with rebate, still expensive. Got Hugs Bunny straight away, maybe I’ll get egg council guy soon. Must agree with some people in the comments, saving for Halloween is a must! Hopefully I manage to pick up Snorky this year. 😊

Do you know I think that might have been the time I originally downloaded tapped out to try it, but I didn’t keep it for long! Maybe that event was why. I think I remember some of it now.
I then re-downloaded around the start of the stonecutters event and since then have been an addict. 😛
It still hurts that I missed Sherry Bobbins in 2014. But she’s way too overprized in my opinion. I’m saving my Donuts for a Barney-Discount (still not given up the hope) and / or Halloween this year

Wish I could have gotten more than one Faberge egg! When I saw that price I was all “o_O, I gotta get me some rat trap trucks!” But they only let me get one.

My friend is a lady actually, she would scold me after I sent her the picture of the egg council guy, asking her why are you in my game
Anyone else having trouble getting the game to load? I’ve been unable to get in on and off for about 24 hours now and have currently been unable to access it for a couple of hours straight. My wife also plays and she’s having no trouble but she’s on an iPhone and I’m on a Samsung.
I’ll never forget successfully getting Shary Bobbins as my prize from my last possible attempt on the last day of the event after spending $5 (!!) to gamble on her and a building that I was also able to get. Such a rush! It seems like Easter will never again be exciting in tsto because of that event backlash. Even the faberge egg caused so much anguish, and now it’s cheap and easy to get. I miss the bunnies hopping around town.
Only thing I got from the easter stuff, although I didn’t have any of it, was the Faberge egg. The 3% bonus is too good to pass up! Saving my donuts for the last part of the event – sure to be some awesome stuff there 🙂

I picked up Shary Bobbins, Natural Faberge Egg, and Easter Island God. My hubby knew how bad I wanted those 3 so he gave me a $25.00 Google Play GC for Easter! (I also got Ned’s camper with the lemon tree on top for buying the $9.99 132 donut deal and 5 Knight Boats!)
Bought Hugs Bunny cuz he was the cheapest playable character available. Hoping to save my donuts for other stuff that’s coming up…

I had all of the returning items, but it did offer me the flag… if I didn’t already have one, I’d get it. It’s an attractive flag😊 I like Hugs, but it really disappoints me that only his 1 hr task is visual, other than fighting Homer. The Faberge egg is wayyyy too small to appreciate. Shari is a fun character, & I like both of her visual tasks (4&24hr). The Blocko store is great! I love the color it adds… and, well, Legos are a staple 😂 I personally hate them, if you’ve ever stepped on one, you know why 😬 If you’re like Brooders & would beg, borrow, & steal for an NPC😂😘😂, the EGC is one of the more visual & fun ones. 😊😊😊
He is one of my favourites to tap and topple 🙂

Spent most of my donuts on Russ Cargill and Femme Fatale, so I only have 35 donuts left. Not enough to buy any Easter merch that’s worth buying. No regrets, because these characters have helped me get more than two days ahead of schedule. Woo-hoo!

Blocko building… Kinda want, fun building, but the color scheme makes it pretty much not fit in anywhere (to me)
Huggs bunny… Hard to pass up a char with an animated task of him and Homer fighting
Shary… Hearing she has lots of good fun tasks and will be somewhat unique as even after this, it won’t be something everyone has
The faberge egg.. Definite get.. Maybe more than one
Easter Island God…. Maybe

Just an idea since you seem to like the building; I passed on Blocko the last time it came around because I thought it would stick out like a sore thumb but I have an area with Claus and Co., Santa’s workshop, and the Playdoh Factory. The Blocko store seems tailor made for that area because of the colors.
