Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything that looks awesome because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

My Opinion On it Now: Meh. I crafted this during the original Superheroes, it’s still sitting in my inventory. Underwhelming. Even at 25 donuts I’d pass.

I love the botanical garden! I got it during a previous event, and I’ve used it as a focal point for a park area. It makes the sound of a wood thrush when tapped! This was genius on the part of the designers as this bird has been hailed as one of Americas most beautifully voiced songbirds. They are shy birds who prefer deep pine forests and they are sadly declining in numbers due to habitat loss and nest predation. Great to raise awareness to listen for this pretty voice when you are in the woods!

I’ve had an animation glitch that shows pretty blue birds. Wish someone had a task there.

Botanical Gardens, The Island of Dr. Hibbert, the Abandoned Store – you don’t waste donuts on these past Freemiums / Craftables …. save those donuts for something better! 😉
I already had the gardens and the abandoned store. I quite like them both. Not interested in the island.
I hate how slow it is to get schematics.

The abandoned building and the blocko store say “look out for vandals”. Are they buildings that can be vandalized when a neighbor visits?
For some weird reason I like the abandoned building. It’s an ironic building. It’s worth it for only 30 doughnuts.

Ugh. The island. One of my biggest regrets. I jumped on it before the SIB when it originally was released, assuming that Dr. Hibbert would have a task there. That was the last impulse buy for me…I always refer to the SIBs now 🙂
The only reason it’s out is that it earns a bonus. If it didn’t, it would get stored so it wouldn’t constantly remind me of the donuts wasted. I wonder why EA didn’t give a rebate on it.

I like the botanical gardens, but the Blocko store is a better buy, since it gives Chalmers a 2-hour premium task there.

I won the botanical gardens and I like it! I’d probably buy it for 25 donuts if I didn’t have it already. Makes a nice sound when you tap it, too! 🙂

I agree, I’ve enjoyed the garden from the day I got it.
Old items should always be rebate. 30 doughnuts isn’t bad for a building. I rather characters/building combos myself.
I put the botanical gardens in the middle of my monsaro campus; it fits nicely.
I should note that I won it in the event and I wouldn’t pay donuts for it.
…but these items are all so “spy” themed. Or something.

It can.
Is there a list of what can go on the boardwalk? Is it pretty much any building? I searched but I’m seeing unrelated stuff or a post from 2013.
