Should I Spend Donuts On Sha-Boom Ka-Boom! Cafe?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

The spies are invading Springfield!  Yes, the Secret Agent update has hit our games.  We’ve got hacking, drones, dossiers and a shrinking donut bank account because there are LOADS of spy items in our stores just tempting us with those sprinkles!

Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything that looks awesome because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add Sha-Boom Ka-Boom! Cafe to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this explosive cafe to your Springfield…

Building: Sha-Boom Ka-Boom! Cafe
Donut Price: 70 Donuts
Conform-O-Meter: Gluttony +20
Earns: $350, 35xp/16hrs
Size: 8×9
Tasks: Smithers has a 1hr Task there (to Get Fries with that Shake, Earns $70, 17xp)
Other Info: Can Go on the Boardwalk & Pier

Leaves Stores April 29th

Pros
-Fun design for a building
-Animated when in use
-Smithers has a 1hr permanent task there

Cons
-No questline associated with it
-Smithers’ task does not earn at a premium rate
-A little on the pricey side for a stand alone building

Final Thought
Premium:
This is offered at a better price than Crouching Panda, but it’s still another one of those “If you like it…” buildings.  It’s a fun design & the fact that Smithers has a task there is a nice bonus.  So if you like it and have a location for it grab it.  Otherwise pass.

Freemium:
Pass.  Unless you really love the building I’m not a huge fan of spending donuts on stand alone buildings when donuts are hard to come by.  You’re better off saving them for character combos or items with high bonus %.  So I’d pass on the Sha-Boom…

Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do.  And , as I already say, as a premium player I picked it up.  I’ve got the ideal location figured out for it.  Just remember this is limited time, and will be leaving our stores soon.  Whatever you decide, So be sure to make your final decision before it’s gone from our games for good. (or for now..)

What are your thoughts on the Sha-Boom Ka-Boom! Cafe?  Will you be picking it up or have you already?  Where have you placed it in your Springfield?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. I really wish the pink bubble part of the building would “explode” when tapped. It’s kinda boring looking tbh.

  2. I like this building. Sadly I don’t have enough donuts for it.

  3. Another cool looking building that I’ll just enjoy when I got to friends’ towns instead of dropping the donuts on it myself.

  4. I’m holding out hope that someday Cockamamie’s with John as its character will be available. Maybe at some future event, they’ll be bundled with this too (a gal can hope!)

    • I always thought this would come with John, since Cockamamie’s is a store in the mall and we already have the mall. So yeah, hope it is later rebundled with him.

  5. I got it but kind of regret it. It just looks sad and abandoned. Also, doesn’t seem like Raphael can use it with his clerk shift task so that a downside too.

  6. I wish some of these premium buildings would have more tasks for more characters, like how the T Theater has a two hour task for all the kids. It would make the donuts worth it.

  7. I know this is a random spot to post, but as I can’t find the original thread…

Someone recently observed Otto and Nelson pulling out their guitars and having a impromptu jam session when crossing paths in their town (while not on a task), and I totally just saw it happen in my SF!

I wish I had been quick enough to capture a screen shot…maybe next time!

    • Maybe i’m crazy, but I’m almost sure I saw Luigi playing accordion and Fat Tony playing violin when crossing each other, it was great. I remember someone talking about Otto and Nelson a few days ago too.

  8. Yes neighbours, that really was me visiting you on a weekday lunchtime…… although some of you are missing out on a bit of currency because you need to clear your Krustyland

    😁🇬🇧

    • I would rather miss a prize than ever go back to that failed experiment.

Yep, I’ve noticed that you enjoy Krustyland – makes me go there and clear tickets. You spend donuts there, while I am content to spend tickets. I do,wish that EA would let us drag more items from storage into Krustyland – plants, fences, fountains.”

  9. “ideal location”? Show us!! Seeing it in situ helps us all to make an informed decision. 🙂

  10. This is the only stand-alone building I cared about during this event. 70 donuts isn’t cheap for a building, but I liked the design and it fits nicely close to Retro Lard Lad.

    • That looks really nice! The cars and cherry trees really make it work. 🙂

    • I love Grandpa and the pink Caddy…and I see you captured it with the bomb activated💥💀🙈😎.

    • I have my retro lard lad and all my old style cars together similar to yours. I had to buy this building to place it nearby like you did! Can’t post a photo because I’m not tech savvy. But I like your design!

  11. This building is irradiating…

The grand opening must have been a boom to the surrounding economy…

Make sure when placing this building that it has good fusion with the other buildings…

    ok, I’ll see myself out.

  12. Good morning Alissa and addicts everywhere 🙂

I purchased this one! I don’t normally buy buildings and prefer to spend my sprinkles on characters but there’s something so pink and gooey about it I pulled the trigger. ☆

  13. This event has been teasin me into spending money for donuts more than any else before, but i shall stay strong… lol

  14. Is it just me or does Sha-Boom Ka-Boom AND Stoner’s Pot Palace have the same sound effect when clicked on?
