Well time to live life in the fast lane because we’ve got ourselves a Pin Pals Bowling Mini Event in Springfield! That’s right our pocket-sized Springfield’s have gone to the gutter….the bowling gutter that is…as we set em up to knock em down with this Bowling event!
Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything that looks awesome because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add Jacques and Fiesta Terrace to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this French Fop to your town…
Character: Jacques
Building/Decoration: Fiesta Terrace
Donut Cost: 150 Donuts
Earns: $175,15xp/6hrs
Bonus %: 4% on all cash and XP
Size: 7×12
Conform-O-Meter: Indolence +10
Other Info: Fiesta Terrace can be placed on Pavement, Pier, Boardwalk and dirt…in addition to the usual grass. Jacques will not unlock in the store for you until you unlock the Pin Pal Bowling Alley.

-Frequently requested character
-Rare building that earns income AND a bonus %
-Bonus percent (4%) is a great payout, considering it’s a character/building combo
-A couple of funny outdoor tasks
-Will use Fiesta Terrace for his 1hr task, which will animate the building

-Not voiced
-Pricey for a one off character/building combo. (although the bonus % helps)
-Will not help with the Pin Pals Event, does not earn bowling shoes.
Final Thought
Premium
So I know most premium players aren’t even waiting for my opinion with this one, you’ve already picked him up. It’s a nostalgic character, and he’s been requested for awhile. The downside is he’s not voiced and he’s a bit pricey. But I like this combo, despite the price tag. And I REALLY like that Fiesta Terrace earns a bonus %, in addition to income. Not a bad premium pickup.
Freemium
I would buy Jacques over the Pin Pals skins, in a heartbeat. But it is still a pricey character/building combo, especially when it doesn’t help with the event. I’d say if you’ve been wanting Jacques pick him up, but he’s certainly not a must buy. If you’re on the fence, I’d pass and save your donuts for something better.
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as I premium player I can tell you I’ve picked him up (almost immediately). But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before he leaves our games for good (or for now).

Since i got barney last year i only had to decide should i buy Jacques. I was on a fence, but i liked the building and when i red its got bonus % i decided to buy. Now stacking donuts for next big event.
I’m going to buy this as I auto purchase all of the Albert Brooks voiced character’s.
The 4% is tempting but I just can’t rationalize spending full price on new characters when there are so many older ones coming with donut refunds these days. I’ll wait til Jacques is on sale too.
A quite sensible approach when donuts are tight.
If I wanted to, I can get 4% by buying 2 Jet Engine Bike for 60 (30+30) donuts …….. But I wont, because EA offers rebate (from time to time) on bonus % items (the most recent being the Knightboat rebate in previous event, where we could get 4% bonus increase by buying 2 Knightboat for total 40 donuts) …….
Plus with sending the Rocketship on a mission & Cadet Lisa on her “Conquer the Eliminator” task, I have several times obtained Mini Nuclear Warhead for free, which gives 2.25% bonus for FREE. And sometimes the Kodos/Kang Topiary which only offers 0.5% bonus but hey, its for FREE!!!!!
I have the bonuts to buy Jacques, but I wont as Im waiting for rebates on more regular characters like Jasper, Luann, Manjula etc ……. Im CONFIDENT Jacques would return again, either at full price or at a rebate or as a prize in some box (I feel sympathetic for the people who paid full price for Shauna, Brandine, Laura Powers & Becky because I got all 4 of them in Vaneltine 2017 Mystery box for 60 donuts per character)
So Freemium players, unless you have all the other regular characters already, or you really really really want Jacques, I would suggest to hold off purchasing him right now
