Well time to live life in the fast lane because we’ve got ourselves a Pin Pals Bowling Mini Event in Springfield! That’s right our pocket-sized Springfield’s have gone to the gutter….the bowling gutter that is…as we set em up to knock em down with this Bowling event!
Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything that looks awesome because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the Pin Pals to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this Bowling Shirt duo to your town…

Pros
-Help to earn additional Bowling Shoes, the only characters that can earn double (2) shoes per task
-Have fun animated tasks and the visual bowling lane
-Turn freemium characters into premium ones
-Complete the Pin Pals Character Collection

-They’re just costumes for existing character, not new characters.
-Moe and Burns already have a number of costumes that earn at a premium rate
-Way over priced

I’m not a huge fan of shelling out this many donuts for premium skins, I’d rather save them for full characters. But if you’ve been wanting the Pin Pals in Springfield and/or have fond memories of this episode now’s your chance to pick them up. However, I’d only do it for nostalgia reasons. They’re way overpriced and not worth picking up if you have no connection to the episode/characters. And the fact that they earn additional bowling shoes isn’t really a reason to pick them up. You’ll get 2 extra shoes/3hrs, it won’t make or break this event for you.
Freemium
Pass. Overpriced and not worth the investment. Save your donuts for something better coming up or Jacques. Freemium players should stay away from this costume duo.
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as I premium player I can tell you i’m 99.9% sure I’m passing on these two. But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before they leave our games for good (or for now). Also, because they do earn additional Bowling Shoes, if you’re thinking about picking them up you’ll want to do it sooner rather than later to get the most return on your investment.

Do these skins come with a storyline at all?
I think the 100 donuts for the skins are totally worth it if you buy 3 additional lanes at 25 each. Put them together and send the Pin Pals on their bowling tasks for one of the best group animations in the game. It definitely rivals the Stonecutters table.
Clicked on this by mistake and ended up buying costumes for so many donuts. I usually click on things to see how they fit in my town before purchasing but made a mistake here since there’s no building attached. Hey Ah well, I’ll enjoy them as much as I can!!

To much for skins but would have like them, opted for jasper instead with my fremium donuts as I have been saving for him 🙂
I bought them purely to get the full bowling team. With 2.200 donuts (I burned up ~2.000.000$ with Rat Trap trucks recently, taking me to level 939 and beyond since then using KEM farming to earn me at leat 3 donuts/day) I didn’t really think much about the cost. Though… in the end I think I might end up still keeping Burns in his Monty Moneybags costume which earns even more.
Having a fully-tasked alternative premium skin for Moe other than his Stonecutter one is nice. Too bad that Apus costume is given out for free instead of making him premium as well. I love old free skins becoming prmium… 😉
I was very happy to finally get these. Apu was on his polishing his ball task as the update hit. So yeah, I got them even though I agree they are over priced for the majority of us.
And I like skins. I get bored with the same tasks all the time.
I have Moog Moe (Halloween 2014) but don’t use it that often.

In the last 5 days of the Spy even I think I added over 40 donuts due to daily challenges, or bonuts. I generally give them up the next event quickly.
Pity Burns doesn’t have a task like “Go in for bowelling” or some such.
Everything for this event has vanished from my store. I deleted and reinstalled and still nothing. EA issue or are other users experiencing this?
100 donuts is, well….nuts! Normally I would have passed but I *really* wanted the skin for Moe and luckily I had a good cushion of donuts to spend. Seriously, after getting Mr. Burns’ ape vest that pays super premium who needs any more skins for Burns, let alone over priced ones?
I am a sucker for Burn’s skins. While watching him backstroke through a pile of money is great, watching him wear tissue boxes for shoes or fly the Spruce Moose is just as chortle inducing. I even enjoy him playing Tennis.
I put almost 100% of my people on visual tasks in the crazy idea that people will be entertained by them visiting my Springfield if they look around. What’s the point of having 200 characters if you don’t get to see them all?
I agree he has some hilarious tasks in different skins that crack me up and I’ll send him out to do them when I want a good chuckle. I think his best tasks are with his free skins. I’ve only ever bought premium skins for Burns only because they were bundle with other stuff I really wanted.

Lenny and Carl were part of the team as well I believe. Would have been great if they had skins as well in this package. As it is now, 100 donuts is a bit steep. 🎥 🎩 Homer was overpriced as well. And it would have been amazing (and kinda weird) to get Bender Rodríguez as a (premium) character since he was a Pin Pal too. But then again, I’m still hoping for a Futurama/Simpsons crossover event, that would be even more awesome!!!

I have Apu Pin Pal skin I got some time ago for an event.. it’s too bad Pin Pal Apu doesn’t earn extra too.
I had a surplus of about 300 doughnuts after the last event, and I was feeling nostalgic, so I bought the skins. It’s not something I would typically do, especially for Mr. Burns, who is rarely out of his Monty Moneybags skin. But I really wanted the full set of Pin Pals because they remind me of the World of Springfield figures I used to collect. Here’s hoping the Be Sharps are coming soon!

Both outfits disappeared immediately after you bought them. Missing from the store and inventory. Logged out, went to Krustyland, visited neighbors, powered on/off my phone. Still missing! Any ideas, Alissa?
Try storing and replacing Moe’s (remember that’ll knock marge out too) and the Cooling Towers. See if that helps. If not, it’s a contact EA moment.

Let me know if it works. I already contacted EA and they had to take it farther up the chain. I have a case open now. Hope it gets fixed soon. Would be nice to earn more faster.
Nevermind, ignore my other comment. I tried myself and it didnt work. They need to hurry and do an update patch. If I miss out on this and lose the outfits im demanding my donuts back.

Well all the stuff coming out forces me to be choosy – I will pass for now but still want to get Jacques.
This was tempting, especially since I don’t have a premium skin for Moe, but it’s too expensive and I won’t be able to use their 4-hour visible task (a time frame In normally use at least twice a day), because I don’t intend to have the bowling lane out in my town, since it’s another one of those indoor items that makes no sense outdoors. (I really wish you could tap on certain buildings and go “indoors” – that would be cool!)
On a somewhat unrelated note (except that it’s also about skins), when did the Prairie Maggie skin become premium? I also just noticed that the Ice Princess Martin skin is now premium, but I think I vaguely remember hearing about that during the winter event, no? Looks like Martin will be sending more time in his sparkly dress now!

Hoping they will go on Sqiud World…I have put together some kids bowling lanes in the Arcade area and would love to replace them with the real thing👍😁.

Prairie Maggie was always premium. She came out during the Wild West event.
Yeah – I remembered buying her, but I really didn’t remember the Princess Martin skin being premium before.
I don’t find them that over priced. Spy hat homer was 50 doughnuts, so I see this as 50 each.

If Moe’s visual tasks were longer, I would shell out for these. The only premium skin I have for him is the stonecutters skin, and it has zero visual tasks. I’ll have to think about it.
Wish we could get bowling shirts for the other teams that show up in the episode. I think we have all the Homewreckers and all the Holy Rollers, unless I’m remembering wrong.
