My Opinion on it Now: Apu has a task there, not a bad buy for a premium building. So if you’re looking for a building expansion pick this one up.

My Opinion on it Now: Of all the stand alone buildings offered, buy this one. While it’s always available in the store it’s offered at a disctouned price and will give Helen Lovejoy a 1hr task…finally! Most useful of the buildings offered. (Rolling Rock is still the best deal for bonuns % though)

Not returning content. Barney is always available in the store once unlocked, he’s just available for now with a discount.

Opinion on It Now: Buy him. Great price for Barney, and one of the few chances you’ll have to get him below 200 donuts. Buy him.

Its the last day and still can’t get barney 🙁 I got to 175 but can’t get there lol dunno what to get now I’m tempted by the buildings but maybe I should wait for whatever comes next and spend them all then 🙂 I’m kem farming but finding it a lot harder now I’m 939 and run out of money so sometimes jus getting the 1 donut ..
Yeah it doesn’t seem like they discount Barney that often. I believe this is only the 2nd time I have seen a discount on him. Great deal if you missed out on him during the Deep Space Homer event when he had a rebate of 130 donuts and and the Astronaut Barney skin.
I decided to get Shorty’s, since I enjoy the early seasons, and figured that a rebate like this would be a good chance to buy it. Got Barney too, and I have no regrets. Finally, the most expensive character in the game is now mine. Opened up another part of the Suzanne questline too, surprisingly. I thought I got that all done last Halloween. Very happy with what I got, and I’m planning on getting Jacques and the Bowling shops too. Great event for early season goodies!
Interestingly, the price for Alley McBalls increased to 50 donuts with a refund of 25 for a net cost of 25 donuts. I thought that it was 40/20 yesterday.

In one game I got apus pin pal outfit after the storyline and another game I didn’t. Is that normal was Apus pinpal free or did I miss something?

The nice thing is that it still pays out if you’re at cap, which means I can stockpile a ton of trash during the week.
I believe Barney was free when the game first came out. I remember grinding for so long to save 250 doughnuts to get Barney. I’ve noticed there are a lot of deals thrown our way in the lady few months. We had Kumiko, Crazy Cat Lady, Hank Scorpio and now Barney. Now that I’m obsessed with KEM farming I hope EA keeps up bringing out these deals. I’ve wanted Costingtons for the longest time. I know I’ll need to wait for the Christmas event probably. I wish EA would leave everything in the store but I guess the “Limited Time” gives people the idea to buy now mind set.
I thought Barney was always a premium item but for one event or one time, they made a way for you to obtain him for free.
I want Barney but he’s always been too expensive and since I rarely save more than 200 without spending them, I will wait longer.
I’ve always figured that EA deliberately kept from giving Helen any new 60-minute tasks in new buildings and such in order to keep pressure on us to buy Shorty’s.
Personally, Im not spending my bonuts on any building just to give any character a missing task ……. Helen & Fatov are the only characters who I have to manually send on tasks sometimes, but that takes max 5 seconds

Had no interest in anything until you noted Shorty’s having a 1-hour task for Helen. Finally, only Fatov will remain when I use the unemployment office.
If you put Faroe and Homer on their joint one-hour task and then use the employment office you’ll capture everybody – that’s just what I do!

True, but Homer’s been needed for events for what’s what like forever lately.
Just out of curiosity, it takes me about 5 seconds to send Helen & Fatov on tasks (I send all others on tasks, using the unemployment office)

I never really liked Fatov…since he was free and has no tasks that are really entertaining, I have granted him early retirement in digital storage.
The discount on Barney and his Bowlorama is a pretty sweet deal as I had miserly held off getting him till now
