It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

First of all, it’s Mother’s Day here in the US, Canada and a few other countries…so Happy Mother’s Day to all the mom’s out there! Hope you have a great day full of brunch, mimosas and lots of peace and quiet! (or at least one of those 3! lol
No new Simpsons this week, but we did have an all new edition of Addicts Live. Did you check it out? We broke down the newest event, the two latest episodes of The Simpsons and had some fun talking about Mothers.
Out with the old, in with the new…as the Secret Agents Event came to a close last week and the Pin Pals Mini Event started up. What are your thoughts on the new mini event?
How was the rest of your weekend? Do anything fun and exciting?

Just a note to let my neighbors know that I’ve decided to take a break until the next event hits…will be MIA for a while so no need to visit me (unless you just can’t stop yourself 😆).
Need a time out…kinda losing interest in the game and hope this will “recharge” my enthusiasm. Seems like the events are getting so repetitive, predictable and waaaaayyyyyy too long 😫…don’t like feeling so negative about something I used to enjoy, so a break is in order.
Hopefully, the next event will be more challenging?/interesting?/humorous?…we’ll see…🤔

Hi neighbor, best wishes for a nice break. I try to have some downtime between events. I can relate to having events tooo long.
I always enjoy your posts in the blog and visiting your town. Even though we do no not know each other personally it seems like we are friends.
For me this time in my life the game is a nice diversion. And with that said I plan to go outside more and plant my garden now that spring has come here.

Game crashing a lot when visiting neighbours since the takedown. Never had this problem before. Had real problems with Sandra’s SF. It took 4 attempts!….💜X

Hi Sandra. Visiting your SF worked like a dream today! I left my mark on one of your buildings! I’d love to leave my monorail running but I have the same problem. My B game took nearly 3 mins to load it up the last time I tried….💜X

Also, I recently started getting my first item number warning (6,700?), so that may be part of the issue for you (although it hadn’t yet started causing problems for me (knock wood, kenahora).

It looks like the game is based in New New York, with characters doing the typical tasks for cash and XP, but the Planet Express crew can chart a course off-world. And the app includes arcade-style games rendered in 16-bit graphics. Interesting.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news…but this game is Family Guy 2.0. You’ll have to collect stuff to unlock characters etc. That’s based on the beta testing.
I have little desire to play. Just the fact that it’s from Jam City’s TinyCo is enough to turn me off. But I did find the 16-bit arcade-style mini game interesting. Was the beta testing any fun? Or just a grind?
I unfortuantely wasn’t part of the beta, but from the videos/screen grabs/word of mouth that’s what I’ve been told. Very grindy…very Family Guy. What a let down…
Unfortunately for me, I have a deep affection for Futurama that is lacking for Family Guy. I’ll probably end up playing this.
Any idea if there is going to be a deal from Gil soon? I’ve got some donuts burning a hole in my pocket, but I want to save them in case he sells something awesome.

Hi all,
I seem to have a locked task with Lisa and Luke Stetson, to find hidden gold. Lisa is free but I can’t seem to find Luke in my town anymore and he’s not on my roster in City Hall.
Weirdly, when I go to Krustyland I am able to access the task, but then it asks me if I want to go back to my Springfield, and once there the task is locked again.
Advice?
Is he perhaps on a task in Krustyland?
Did you accidentally store him in your storage/inventory box?
If you click on the inventory box, then click on the ‘character’ category it will show you if he is hiding there.
I can’t find him or the barn in storage, nor in the store. He’s not on a task in KL.
Store the barn and pull it back out.

If you only have one KEM in your town, you might want to add a second one to see if it will give the place she needs….
OK, so I admit it, I am a freemium player to the core…. but I broke down yesterday… and I spent $9.99 real money in the iTunes store on the 132 donuts and Ned’s camper JUST so I could get Barney and the Bowlarama. You need the 250 donuts and I had some but not enough.. wow, that felt good.. like I was cheating or something. I once bought the 60 donuts and Shelby character for $4.99. I could see how this donut spending could become quite addictive! My father in law (who used to make FUN of us all playing TSTO UNTIL he got HIS iPad) just spent the $9.99 as well to get HIS 132 donuts too. Yeah it’s THAT bad. Had to share!! LOL!
I watched a French Thriller, Disorder, over the weekend, hoping to be thrilled. While the acting is good and picture is well made, nothing really is happening. The action that takes place is minimal. Overall it was not a thrilling experience.
Is anyone else having trouble following the oversized turkey, I manage to tap him once or twice then loose him on until I come across him the next day
Big claw is fast and can be difficult to keep up with at times. It will for the most part stay on roads but if you are a player with few roads I imagine it to be extra hard. really no way to search for, I usually just happen across it.
Sad I couldn’t make my design for spies the in time for he showoff, but the beneft is at least i got the bowling alley done up quickly!

Happy Mother’s Day Alissa! Happy Mother’s Day to all the other mothers out there! I had a great day myself. My daughter and I got some lillies for my mom to plant. Lillies are my favorite flower. They used to grow by my daycare when I was little and it was just my mom and me. I got her two pots, one orange (tiger) lillies which symbolizes confidence, pride and wealth (my fav) and one yellow which symbolizes thankfulness and enjoyment. I had a short visit with her and my Dad. Came home to my husband grilling steak and pork chops and cleaning the kitchen! Also got a great new Cubs jersey from my daughter and husband, I can’t wait to wear it!

Been a while since I’ve posted been stupid busy at work. I need to find another job.
As my wife’s birthday/Mother’s Day present I took her to Boston Ballet’s The Sleeping Beauty. It was interesting. She enjoyed it.
Both kids are playing baseball this year. My daughter is doing tee ball and my son got moved up to Little League. He’s kind of frustrated because his team can not seem to pull off a win.
Another reason I haven’t been around, I got a Switch at launch and the newest Zelda game. I have put in close to 200 hours. I can’t believe it.
What are everyone’s thoughts on Jacques? He is a little more than I like to spend, but his tasks wok out well for me (I usually do 1 or 4 hours). Are his tasks humerous?
I play the Legend of Zelda game every chance I get. I’ve had very little social life in the last month because of it. But I’m nearing the end! What will I do with all my free time? At least Link will be happy living out his retirement in the little cottage I bought for him.

This is my first Mother’s Day in which my son gave me a present (he’s three) that he “made” himself at three year old kinder. In my card he said he loved me because I make him dinner.

Anybody notice there’s no limit on how much recycling materials you can have at the Springfield Dump. Every 4hrs when I play the drone scan game from the secret agents event I get junk to help with crafting for monorail track pieces. Currently I have 6000/2000 of junk. Maybe EA will patch this in the next few days.
I don’t think it’s a glitch. You can overfill Springfield Heights material too using the movie theater (or turkey monster). I’m just amazed you’ve been playing the drone scan that much. Soooo boring!
Why would you want that patched? What is wrong with building up enough “garbage” that you wouldn’t have to worry about where Homer or Ray are hiding? Nothing wrong with unlimited garbage.
I got Homer’s Pin Pal costume today, so just one prize to go. I’m not quite sure if I’m doing the claw game correctly. I just tap madly on it until time is up, and I always win two shoes…

No tapping needed, other than one tap to start it.
