As we sit here frakkin files, pulling pics, and typing a million words a minute to get our readers the latest updates and information…we find ourselves sometimes forgetting to stop and enjoy our own games. More so our neighboreenos. So we try to make it a point to hop in n out of the towns now and then to see what cool things YOU are up to. So we have decided we want to continue to focus more attention (as if we don’t already 😛 ) on YOU…our readers. Time to time we will be peaking into your towns, checking our Flickr, and also the posts in the comments below to see what cool ideas and designs YOU have come up with to make your towns unique and…well…YOU. So here is YOUR chance to show off all your hard work, time, donuts & in game cash spent. Send us your work, no matter how big or small. Brag about it to the world. We want you to. (That and Bunny loves to see other designs and get inspiration from it.) Then keep your eyes posted to Addicts to see if YOU end up on our “SPRINGFIELD SHOWOFF”.
Bowling was all the rage in Springfield a couple of weeks ago! We set em up, knocked em down and prayed we didn’t wind up in the gutter….
Now that the Pin Pals mini event has ended, I thought it would be a good time for another Springfield Showoff! This time featuring your bowling inspired designs,as it can always be a little intimidating and frustrating trying to figure out just where to put all this stuff…so who better to turn to than our fellow Addicts? And as always you guys came through big time! You guys have some great designs and ideas so let’s take a look:

Great job! My favorites were Chris’ with the dirt floor and walls. Very neat. As usual, also a fan of Brittj’s design. It’s like you’re at Dave n Buster’s!

Many good entries, but I’m always perplexed by the couple of entries in showings like this, which don’t seemed to be “designed” at all…why submit just a picture of a jumble of objects? I don’t fault people who may have designs that I don’t happen to care for (i’m sure there are plenty of people who may not care for my designs)… I’m just talking about entries that don’t seem to even be an attempt at a design. Not trying to offend anyone…just expressing some genuine curiosity.
I agree 100%. Pet peeve of mine with neighbors’ towns too. Why play if only to jumble objects into a “town”? Never understood the point of playing that way.
I agree that I way prefer neighbor towns that are designed, rather than the town of those who don’t bother, but I’m willing to go with “to each his/her own” on that. But, to me, that’s different than actually entering something in a “show off”…. If I’m not at least a little bit proud of my design for something (or if I think I’ve done absolutely nothing special with it), I just skip entering the show off for that.
Maybe some people are just more creative than others? What seems like no design to you, is maybe their best effort.

I noticed you mentioned that you peek into people’s towns. Is there a way anyone can do this? I thought I had to add someone as a friend before I could look at another site.
Only if your friends with them. Sometimes others will submit photos of their friends towns
Particularly like the use of dirt to create the impression of a brown floor.
Using that myself now.

I spent some time organizing my town today. I placed the Workshop we got this week at the Simpsons House. It fits really well and looks great.

Thanks! Yours looks like a pleasant evening hangout as well! I stole ideas liberally from neighbors, but I guess that’s part of what having neighbors is for.
