Time to grab toast as we travel back…wayyyy back…in time with Homer in the all new TTT (Time Travel Toaster) event! Homer’s taken us back to the Prehistoric Era and we’ve got Dinosaurs, Cavemen & of course other Prehistoric items in our Springfield just tempting us with those sprinkles!
Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything that looks awesome because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the Raptor to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this Jurassic Dino to your town…
Character: Raptor

-No questline (or even a little bit of dialogue) associated with it
-No tasks, it’s an NPC (although some will find this a positive…)
Final Thought
Premium or Freemium..
It’s a Raptor for your Springfield! If you’re a fan of Dinosaurs it may be hard to pass this one up. But at the end of the day it’s an NPC, offers no real value for the event or your game…other than being cool. So this (like all NPCs) is one of those if you like it, get it items…otherwise pass.
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as I premium player I’ll likely be passing on this one. But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now).

i purchased it as a freemium player with my donuts just because i love dinosaurs and i missed the whole event of the toaster
I would have purchased the Raptor, but as a freemium player I am saving my donuts for the pirate event and Blackbeard in particular. I would have gotten the Raptor if he wasn’t an NPC. I saw him in my neighborino’s town and he is really sweet and awesome looking though. Really cute, goofy and lovable. Kinda reminds me of that awesome Jim Henson/Disney show on TV back in the day called “Dinosaurs”. Such a great show.

If I could create a large fenced in area for them to roam around in, I’d get a few. But just having them roam around like any other NPC? Pass. FWIW one of the few NPCs I do like is the Capitol City Goofball.

Reading this post (& deciding I need the raptor anyway lol), I realized I haven’t looked at my character collections in a good long time…..and then I couldn’t find how to do so. I looked & research is telling me I should have a Homer statue in the “move” menu (I don’t). Do I have a broken Springfield, or am I missing something completely? I appreciate any help. Thank you.
It’s in the build menu, not the move menu; lower-left corner of the screen. Even knowing this, it’s still *really* easy to miss, for me. I had forgotten about the feature completely until my son tapped into it to show me something. 🙂

The game inspired my son Into binge watching Jurassic parks/world And playing Jurassic park video games. I got caught up in some of the binge watching. Yeah, I bought the raptor and he’s saving his donuts for it.

This is really difficult for me. As a freemium user, my order for Donut-Obejcts is:
– Core-Characters (Barney, Luann, Sideshow Mel)
– other cool characters (Scorpio, Nerds, Halloween-Characters)
– Deko objects with a good % Value
…
…
– NPC’s
So yeah, I really like Dinos and everything … but my Donuts are too hard earned for a NPC and the second act will start in a few days, so I’ll be patient for now

Instant buy, no regrets. It’s a freaking dinosaur! And I do enjoy watching, and tapping, NPCs, I don’t think they are useless at all. Not so sure how I feel about the screamapillar though. If someone already bought it, I would really appreciate a screenshot, just to see how big that one actually is. Same size as the one we already got? Hope it’s bigger, though 🙂
The Raptor is tempting at this price (just two days of KEM farming), but there are still so many good offers for full characters, decorations or items with bonus%, so I will pass.
As soon as it was available I bought. Gotta have me dinos! My fingers crossed that EA will offer the tappable dinos for donuts at the end of the event.

I bought it but it’s not as cute as the tappable dinos.
I was hoping it’d look more cutesy like on the splash screen. When I first saw that, I thought it was an homage to Gon.

Lol! Not sure anyone needs to worry about poor EA. Small programming teamssssloads of revenue. But if you’re worried, you could always put 100 bucks and a birthday card and send it to their headquarters in California.

These SIB guides are great. They help me to avoid giving TOO much money to EA. There is so much stuff thrown at us now that I really need to pick the best things out. I don’t farm a lot, so $10-$15+ for many items really adds up.
In don’t think calling people names (like saying someone is “lame”) is allowed here. I think saying that what someone said is lame is fine, but saying that the person is lame, is not. This site works very hard to stay civil and not devolve into the kind of behavior sometimes indulged in on EA’s forum site.

I got this. Obviously, it’s a freakin’ Raptor and that’s awesome. I was waiting for this SIB but after asking myself, “Will you regret buying a Raptor, even if it’s an NPC?” The answer was no and I am pleased with my dinosaur.
Between this and the Baby T-Rex, I’m doin’ great!
So do I have this right…40 donuts for a full size awesome Raptor or 80 donuts for a tiny screaming Catapillar? Am I missing something? Who in their right mind would choose a bug over a dinosaur (for twice the price)? Somebody at EA has been dipping into the Acid Pool.😂

I woke up the other day, was half awake & it popped into my store & I bought it without thinking. I need to put my tablet farther away from the bed until I’m no longer medicated 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 I haven’t check, but just out of curiosity, does it scream like the one on Jurassic Park when you tap it? Love my raptor! Yes it makes a decent sound, when my sound is up 🙂 , and it also has nice looking lunging movent.
It is also not wretchedly small like too many items, IMO, have been in this prehistoric era act.
Now if I could only get it to eat Poor Patches & Violet I would be over the moon about it.
If they were only injured 🤕, they could sue the game and their worries would finally be over 🤑. Wonder how much they could get for a good Raptor mauling🤔?

I like NPCs, I considered it. But nope. Just the got the free prize last night. I actually think his animation is better. I only need one dino roaming around. Now if they interacted with each other and got in a fight. That would be worth it. lol.
I couldn’t agree more about his animation, it is absolutely incredible/impressive and is my favorite so far in the entire game. (I’ve only been playing six months, but know awesome when I see it)
