Time Travel Toaster Prize Guide: Prehistoric Era, Prize 3 Pterodactyl Nest

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Hang onto your toasters my friends because we’re going flying through space and time!  The latest event in TSTO has us going wayyy back in time to when Dinosaurs roamed the earth, Pharaohs were building pyramids & Pirates hobbled around on their peg legs!

This Event is broken up into 3 Eras, with each Era containing part of the story.  To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act.  Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event.  For the first Era, Prehistoric, you’re tasked with collecting Fossils () to unlock each prize!

The third Prehistoric Era Prize awarded at 28,100 is the Pterodactyl Nest, because it wouldn’t be the Prehistoric Era without a Pterodactyl somewhere in the mix…

So let’s take a closer look at this third prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…

Once you’ve collected 28,100 you’ll automatically be awarded the nest and you’ll see this message popup:

And you’ll have the option to place the Pterodactyl Nest in your Springfield or store it in your inventory for later.  Remember if you store it you’ll have to go into your inventory to retrieve it (and you won’t get Tachyon credit until you’ve placed it)

It does come with a little bit of dialogue when placed:

Homer: Mmmm…. pterodactyl omelet….
Lisa: You are NOT raiding a dinosaur nest for eggs.
Homer: What?  I thought you were all about locally-sourced food.

That’s it.  Just place and move on…

And here are the quick details:

Size: 2×4
Tachyons When Placed: 730  (Remember you have to PLACE it in your Springfield to get the Tachyon credit.  You won’t get credit if you store it in your Inventory and never place it…after placed and Tachyons are paid out you can store it without consequence)
Earns: Nada for now.  Just a decoration..but who knows.  I’m sure one day EA will bring it back as a premium item and throw a bonus % on it…
Conform-O-Meter:
Tree-Hugging +100
Other Info: Can be placed on the grass/beach/dirt
Animation: Animated when tapped, and the Pterodactyl “squawks” ( is that what they do?)

And there you have it, the details behind the Pterodactyl Nest, the third Prehistoric Prize!

What’s Next?

Darwin Fish- Awarded at 39.500.  This will be the next prize we break down in the prize guide post.

What are your thoughts on the Pterodactyl Nest? Safe to assume you’ve unlocked it by now?  Where have you placed it in your Springfield?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. Pterodactyl Nest
Soooo glad it’s animated …. not happy with the static Decor / NPC’s that EA dumped into this Event (yes this ought to be a Premium Decoration with Bonus %)

  2. Anyone else keep thinking about Terry from PeeWee’s Playhouse when looking at it? 🙃

  3. I found by searching shovel on main page. Thanks!!¿

  4. Sorry I just saw the post regarding the shovels. Please disregard the old post. 😬

  5. I’ve collected all my prizes and was wondering if I should save my shovels for the next round of if they will just go to waste

  6. I’m doing the same, getting on 4 times a day and started two days late but can’t catch up at all. This has never happened in the 6 years i’ve been playing and the first time ever that I won’t be able to get to that 7th prize

  7. I need camels!! (Now really…how often do you get to say that?)

    • That looks so awesome!!! I love how you used that cardboard box fencing. (Grumble, grumble…wish I had more of the cardboard then my few measly pieces.)

      • Thanks…if you squint and turn your head at a 45 degree angle, it kinda looks like sandstone walls…kinda…maybe a little…

      • Hey EA….you have a buyer for cardboard fencing…I’ll bet a lot of tappers would buy it if it were in the store…hint, hint, hint..😉
(The Pagan fencing from Heretic would probably sell, too…I know I’d buy a bunch of it!)

        • EA.. while you’re adding the cardboard fencing, can you throw in the cardboard towers too? I’ve been waiting years to get a 4th tower, I can’t do anything with just 3.

  8. It’s my favorite from the Dino era 🙂 looks great, wish i’d be able to craft this :/

  9. The Pterodactyl Nest is very beautiful. It goes well in a forest, on the beach or along a river 😊

  10. Will there be a prize guide for the Excavation Site prizes, too?

    • I did a quick rundown in the excavation post…they’re all just decorations. (except baby t-rex which is an NPC) Conform info will be on the Conform o meter post…

      • I was just wondering, since the “main” prizes are mostly decorations as well. But except for the Baby T-Rex, there wasn’t even dialog associated with them, if I remember correctly. Probably not worth the additional work… Thanks for taking the time to answer my question 🙂

  11. “…the Pterodactyl “squawks” ( is that what they do?)”
From what the Flintstones taught us is yes, yes they do. 😉

  12. Josephine Kick@$$

Now THIS one I liked! Love the animation when you tap on it 😁
    Thanks Alissa😊

  13. I suppose I’m spoiled from previous events, but the prizes available (so far) in this event are so meh

  14. Can’t wait for the pirate era.

  15. Another meh prize. I kinda feel that way about all the prizes this act. Sorry, lack of sleep turns me into Davebo Downer. 😴😬

  16. For now it feels like I won’t have any chance to achieve the level 7.
I’m doing all I can (producing the shovels every 4h, playing the digging game, chasing the dinosaurs and visiting others) but it still feels the remaining time of nearly 4 days wont be enough.
What do you think? I’m at 30.000 shellfish right now and got the Pterodactyl Nest.

  17. SQUAWWWWK! 😀
