Time to grab toast as we travel back…wayyyy back…in time with Homer in the all new TTT (Time Travel Toaster) event! Homer’s taken us back to the Prehistoric Era and we’ve got Dinosaurs, Cavemen & of course other Prehistoric items in our Springfield just tempting us with those sprinkles!
Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything that looks awesome because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the Screamapillar to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this screamer to your town…

Pros
-Part of the Prehistorians Character Collection
-Based on your reports, it does scream (I tried and tried and tried in my game, couldn’t get it to happen…)
Cons
-No questline (or even a little bit of dialogue) associated with it
-No tasks, it’s an NPC (although some will find this a positive…)
-Way overpriced
-For a “giant” it’s not very big (i guess it is bigger than the one from the pond)
-Doesn’t scream (at least not that i’ve observed)
Final Thought
Premium or Freemium..
PASS. This is absurdly priced and unbelievably underwhelming. The FREE screamapillar pond we got last event is way better…this is a waste of donuts. PASS.
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as I premium player I’ll likely be passing on this one. But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now).

I might considered getting this if it was at least huge (I mean at least the size of a pink house) and can be spotted easily in my town. Most NPCs just pretty much disappear once placed. At least with the free version, I always know where it is.
It’s kind neat but no bonus. A other NPC wandering about. It’s a no for mw.
I really wonder what made them think 80 donuts is a fair price for this, especially when they sold the raptor for 40 donuts.

Not a fan of NPCs. I stored all of them except the Zombie Dog (love blowing him up), Grind House Assassin (couldn’t resist) and Tumbleweed (I live in Texas and have actually seen these crossing freeways)! OT anyone else who got Brandine late and hoped she would be able to go “Free” for the last 10% of her ‘birth another Spuckler’ task, we are out of luck (full 90 on the first (Whitney) and working on the second (Dubya).
I am confused coz there is no time displayed that the premium stuff is leaving on 11th. Are you sure boobarella, raptor and co are leaving the store on sunday?

What a rip-off! We just got the “small” screamapillar for free and apparently this one is the same size. I’ll save my donuts for Acts 2 and 3.

The scream is worth it. But a bit hard to find it as it is small
It is much bigger the the Guinea Pig and it is purple.
I always forget he is wandering around…sometime I stumble across himand have to tap him….sqeeeeek😄.

Sorry, but This has nothing to do with the screamapillar.
Some of the people I visit have a building on their site which a King Kong figure looking remarkably like Homer makes pathetic attempts to climb before falling off. I have been playing for many years now, almost back to year dot, and have never seen this crop up again, nor is it mentioned in your run down of what is coming up in the vault.
This is the absolute number one item on my wish list and I try to keep 250 sprinklies sitting in the bank ready for its arrival… but it never comes.
Does anyone know what it is called, and do any of you kind folks know if/when it might make its return? I surely can’t be the only person who craves this?

Phillip, it was a free decoration from the first Halloween event. As far as I can remember. It is interesting that they haven’t brought it back in awhile. Here’s hoping for you.
King Homer’s Skyscraper (with King Homer) was a prize during the second Halloween event after you earned 30 million GOO. I got it for free but I wasn’t even playing when the first Halloween event happened and I certainly didn’t spend 250 donuts on it during the third Halloween event.
King Homer’s Skyscraper……it was a prize from THOH 24, and returned for THOH 25 for 250 donuts. Hasn’t been back since.

Completely random question, I’m sorry; is there a list anywhere of non-premium characters with premium tasks? I’m sure I’ve seen one, but I can’t find it now…sorry for the random! I love this site, I check it every day whether there’s an event on or not…

I bought the GSC. I was hoping it would have some interaction with the other GSC, just like Kang & Kodos with the Rigellian Queen.
My daughter and I giggle every time we tap the one in the pond. I’m not going to spend 80 donuts to have to search for this one around my town.
It screams, but the scream isn’t as good as the free one on the fountain. As drawn on the screen, it’s virtually identical in size to the one on the fountain (I just checked). I guess the fountain object is drawn with a more “zoomed in” scale. It does have fangs, though. And it’s still cute.
So, yeah, unless you have a lot of donuts to throw around (thank you KEM farming!), or you really like NPCs or caterpillars, definitely a PASS.
If it was as big as your pic of it, then it would have been worth it. As soon as I bought it & saw how small it was (giant? Seriously EA), I was po’d at myself for not waiting for your SIB. Thanks Alissa, I really hope you saved a lot of people from doing what I did 😊

Wow, EA is going way overboard with NPCs. I’m really on the fence about them, as far as whether they add to the town or if they are starting to become too much clutter. At least if they had %s I’d keep them out, but for most of them (especially the really small ones) I just don’t see the point.
Hate npc’s. Lets stop wasting our time and donuts!

I just got to level 15 but I’m ahead of my neighbors and so far have got every item (even the screamapiller.) Not sure what the average is but Level 13 is probably ahead of most people.

I’m with you on this one. Even though it leaves a hole in one of the character collections, and my (mild) OCD can’t really stand that. I already see myself agonizing over it until the thing makes a return, and then I will jump on it… 🙂
