Can someone tell me how much money total will be required for Cecil’s tasks? I’m getting ready to start rat trap farming and I need to know how much money to leave myself. His quests haven’t popped up yet so I don’t know what it’s going to take.
There are no quests…tap the daily task button in the upper right of your TSTO screen, then tap the 3rd choice (in green). It will show you the Roads to Riches options and the costs. You use Cecil to contribute to them…some of his tasks are now to spend money, so be careful when using him.

Act 2 prizes are terrible. What’s up with 150 doughnut character skin for Skinner. So far over priced NPC’s and lack luster content. There’s not even any good buildings to buy. I hope ACT 3 turns things around. I do like the music though. What could have been cool for Act 2 would have been to send characters to actually build a pyramid.
Homer Lizard is too small. He looks so good until you actually buy him, then you can barely see his face. Sad.
(I know he’s appropriately scaled, but I was disappointed.)
I really like how small he is. The large NPCs (Casino Nessie and the like) are distracting to me so I generally store them. The small NPCs like the mutant seedling, the tumbleweed, the Darwin fish, and this little Homer Lizard are the perfect size for me due to my tendency to get “squirreled” by larger items.
I’m finally a billionaire!
I left it alone for a very long time because it’s such a grind! I stuck at the last few million for the past month or so and finally became a billionaire over the weekend 🙂

I have KM. But I had to be diligent at tapping. Every 4 hours.visiting neighbors def helps too Even then I jus barely made it. It’s been the first time in 4 years I almost didn’t make it to final prize. Usually I had a few days of donuts… not this time tho

Will there be a comprehensive post about Cecil Terwiliger’s new tasks and what’s at the end of the multi-million$ of game currency?
Liking this event. Biggest positive change is the mini dialogues with each “prize” really helps keep it interesting. Whereas in other events once you finished the quest line it was just tapping on a schedule till the next act. Kudos EA for making this change.
Has anyone managed to get moes cavern without booberella or caveman willi? So only with standard characters?
If I had not missed 1.5 days while traveling, I would have made it with only standard characters and checking in 4 times per day. Ended up only a few thousand short because of the missed time.
I did with no problem as a freemium player. If you visit your neighbors everyday, clear your town and characters 3-4 times a day, do the daily challenges and use the excavation strategy it can be done.
I did get caveman moe as a freemium player and no booberella. But it was really close (got the final prize on the last morning) since i didn’t realize how important neighbour visits were…
I did it with 12 hours to spare and without using Lisa apart from weekends. Cadet Lisa getting the nuclear bomb was too useful to sacrifice for this event. No bonuts at all for the first time since I was a level 10 player.

Though I had no premium help, I got a fully upgraded panini press from the Darwin Fish bug. It increased the excavation site payout by iirc 40% and I could clear all walking dinos every time i logged in (recharge time only 6sec.). Finished with one and a half day to spare.
Not sure if I would have made it without that exploit, didn’t even bother with the prize track in my B-towns as it was obviously very hard and I am not up to hard grinding in more than one town..
What Darwin fish bug?
For about a day or so, if you stored the Darwin Fish (or Homer Lizard) and replaced it in your town, you would get the Tachyons awarded every time.
It made it really simple to get the PP up to the maximum level which was nice.
I received the update Wednesday afternoon and somehow got everything. I’m not buying anything for act two so we will see if my luck continues.

Managed to catch a few good films over the week like Bridge of Spies and Logan. Also started on Twin Peaks Season 3. Watching the drama at times feels like I am watching a modern art exhibition, weird and confusing. Felt sad that for every episode from 1 to 3, different actors were listed under In memory of.
Thanks to John O Connell, I managed to find out the titles of two childhood films with images that haunted me. Never really understood the plot then so as an adult now, I could rewatch it again to experience it all over again.
Game wise, the excavation site digging is so exciting that I can’t wait to see what we find and spent donuts on a few rounds of 50 shovels and got the Baby T rex on the first night!. I also managed to prepared well for Act 2 and have obtained the Tuts elementary school. I like that different music were used for Act 1 and 2, the Act 1 mustic was quite scary!
So what were the titles?!? You can’t leave us hanging like that, man!
Oh they were very old movies. The Devils Rain (1975) and Mission Mars (1968). The Devils Rains has quite a few notable actors in it. Including William Shatner & John Travolta. Interestingly, John Travolta joined Scientology after an actress from the movie recommended to him . This movie was John’s first big screen debut. The William Shatner’s mask used in Halloween could have been inspired by this movie too. This movie, in my view, has very good practical effects for melting humans. That was the image that haunted me.
I could not find the title of Mission Mars for a long time as the wiki lists of sci fi movies did not capture it. Interestingly I noted that WatchMojo in their list of greatest movies about Mars, gave this movie an honorable mention.
I’m confused, and possibly very disappointed… Should there have been new items in the vault with the act change. I don’t have anything new in my vault, which I would ascribe to maybe that I already had this new set of items array, except that I still have the butterfly tent in the vault, which was there in the last act. I was really looking forward to seeing some new items in there, like Maison Derriere, which I don’t have and would really like to have. Any chance that updates to the vault and act updates aren’t linked together and there may be something new in my vault in, say, Tuesday?

With the new event, it was all a bit of a blur. But I thought maybe I remembered something like that, which is why I asked.
Not sure if it’s the same for everyone but I noticed that I got new vault items at the same time I got the new weekly monorail challenge. Made it easy to remember too. 🙂
Hi all 🙂 managed to get the last prize with about four hours left. I did purchase boobarella with farmed and purchased donuts for my bday so that helped. Sorry for being late with this but got distracted (again!) by family history! Spent the weekend researching where I come from. Went down to the Wrinklies yesterday to share what I had found and got a whole lot more work courtesy of my father! But I’m having fun so no real complaints – & mom’s cooking alone was worth the drive!
Mixed week of sport. Cricket has been dismal (no laughing!). We lost to Pakistan during the week and today got whipped by India! So we are out of the tournament! 😟 On a brighter note we beat France in the 1st rugby test yesterday 🇿🇦🤗🇿🇦 Given the dismal end to the last season this was a great performance!
Weather wise things have been verging on apocalyptic down here on the southern tip of Africa! Cape Town (9 hours away) was hit by the worst storm in 40 years with gale force winds and flooding (although their water situation is also dire so it does help a little) which unfortunately resulted in several deaths. We got the gale force winds but not the rain! But the gale force winds and drought conditions resulted in severe fires between us and Cape Town. Knysna, about 4 hours away, has been ravaged by horrendous fires fanned by the gale force winds. People killed, over 150 houses destroyed, thousands evacuated and it’s not over yet. The wind does seem to be lessening so hopefully they can get it under control… Scary stuff!
I’m still enjoying the event but I think it’s because of the new goodies that come with it. I love getting new stuff to play with and even excavating is fun! I’ve also managed to get the dam and the mansion gardens but a Rock and a Hard Place is going to have to wait!!! 😄
Now, because it’s already late, I’ve had my bath so instead it’s time for Star Trek Beyond and a late supper… 😄😄😄

I’ve been saying since the 2011 ICC World Cup that Bangladesh is on the rise and will win a tournament in the next 10 years. I kinda want to see them beat India in the semis. They could definitely destroy Pakistan if Pakistan beats England in the other semi. But lets face it, that is not going to happen. I think England’s side this year is too strong for Bangladesh. An India versus England final would be a close one and would go to whoever wins the toss in my opinion.

So, I’ve been playing TSTO for close to two years, and yesterday was the first time that i didn’t get the final prize of the event *sigh*
I guess what killed me was the fact that I wasn’t tapping on the dinasours every four hours, but I honestly thought it wasn’t necessary. Kinda bummed out; I know it was just a costume and a cave but I wanted it. 😞
Not to bum you out further, but as a point of information, it is not a costume, Moe Caveman is a seperate full character.

I’m disappointed that the skinner skin is so much! But I’ll be just as happy with obtaining taskmaster willie who I was pretty excited for. But I’m really just waiting for the pirate act to hit our games cause that looks awesome.

I started playing at the very end of the superhero event. Just enough to get only homer and krusty skins.
anyway.. i bought the 80 donut mystery boxes amd got Luke. no questline. after some searching found out the western events ‘old town square’ triggers the quests.
felt ripped off. after 2 emails to support they gave me my donuts back.
the first guy just told me to post on their message board about it.
just letting anyone know if it happened to you also.
You have to pull out the Western event’s Town Square and place it before the quest will trigger. One of Luke’s tasks is there, so the quest won’t start unless it is available.
Sorry, you knew that…not surprising that EA support didn’t know…not sure their folks ever played the game.
Ugh, I hate when they try to fob me off to the message boards. I always persist on having customer support provide customer support.

I was sweetly volunteering to stay with the baby while she took her nap so everyone else could continue enjoying the days activities, when my own Frankie the squealer (aka my grandson, who was the one to get me addicted) had to say “Nana just want to stay in range of the wifi cause theres a new TSTO update”. True, but totally ruins the image. As Fat Tony would say “squealers got to pay” guess who won’t be tappin his game for him while he’s out playin on the beach. Lol

Ok, so I’m 80 donuts away from Caveman Moe, and I’m wondering if he’s worth that? I’m a freemium player and I have a total of 100 donuts right now. Can anyone who has him tell me if he’s worth it?
He’s a pretty good character but if it was me I’d save those donuts up for Blackbeard as I can already tell he’ll be a great character (and he will actually earn premium so you’ll get the bang for your buck in that regard), but if he doesn’t interest you I’d say go for caveman moe.

No, he doesn’t.
I really like him…lots more than Boobarella’s cave. You rarely get to see a character interact with their building (usually they are out wandering around if they have a visual task) so I have him “tending bar” 24/7. It’s a great task. Now I have to figure out where to put his cave after the event…hmmm…
NOPE , SAVE DONUTS !
I think he is not worth it if you have to consider whether you want to spend the remaining donuts on him. I like him, he has nice animation and tend to go on top of nearby items on one of his visual tasks, tending the bar. 80 donuts for a combo is actually not that expensive. Just go with your feeling. 🙂

As a farmium player myself, I’m very grateful to those of you who can, and do, spend money on the game. I did spend some “money” earlier on, but, fortunately, I was able to do that because I earned iTunes credits via QuickThoughts (and some Amazon coins through some exceptionally good deals). Spending real money (out of my bank account) just isn’t an option for me theses days, but it’s folks like you who really keep this game going and, for that, I’m grateful! 🙂
Anyone notice the increase in the KEM base cost? I can still farm but must make the rounds collecting rent regularaly!
When you KEM farm you need to sell all but one to get the best deal. If the first one isn’t 220, then you have more than one somewhere (inventory or town).
Lol – check your inventory… I’ll bet you stored some instead of seeking them. Happens to all of us at some point, so I know that feeling…btdt myself!

Non-TSTO comment:
Our team lost again at softball this past Monday by one run, 16-15. I went 5 for 5 at the plate with 5 singles, 3 runs scored and 2 RBIs. But defensively, our team floundered. As a first baseman, I usually get at least 5-10 putouts a game. But my second basemen, shortstop, and third baseman kept booting the ball and I only had one ball thrown to me the entire game. I’m tempted to ask my Captain to move me to one of those positions this Monday if the same continues.
TSTO comment:
I’ve been so busy at work prepping for an audit we had this past week that I’ve barely been able to tap three times most days. I was working as many as 14 hours a day and even worked the last two weekends and the Victoria Day holiday. Most days I only tapped twice. So for the first time, I had to spend some donuts to get the last prize. But the way I see it, 50 donuts for a full character and building is a good deal. Hopefully with more time now, I can go back to tapping every 4 hours outside of normal work hours.
Yesterday was the one year anniversary of the start of the first Bracket Battle. I commemorated by going through the Bracket results again. While a few characters have joined the game like Gary, Doug, Benjamin, Ugolin, Cesar, Sgt Skinner, etc.; it’s still cool to see how much potential is still left in the game. As long as people keep spending money on the game, EA can easily keep the new content going for a few more years.
