Turbo Tappin’ Time Travel Toaster: Egyptian Era (Act 2)

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Grab your dancing shoes on because it’s time to Walk Like an Egyptian through time as the Time Travel Toaster has flashed us into the  Egyptian Era. That’s right for this second “Act” Homer will travel back to the days of Pharaoh and Ra…when Pharaoh’s drove the work force and sun worshipers go blind!

As was mentioned on the rundown post the Egyptian Era runs until June 23rd, and you’ll need Homer and some Springfielders to get things started.

Remember, the questline is there to guide you.  So when you get stuck on something, or haven’t unlocked something, just follow along with the questline and it’ll take you through everything you need to do to complete the first part and unlock everything you need in order to play properly.

And don’t forget the Questline will help you get some bonus prize currency…so make sure you complete it to earn that extra currency…

Let’s take a look at the quick walkthrough for the second round of the Time Travel Event, as we go back to the days of Ra and as an added bonus we’ll figure out why Homer’s so yellow and what the heck happened to The Time Travelers Wife Pt 1….

  1. “Born in Arizona, Moved to Babylonia – King Tut!”
(Anyone else old enough to remember that Steve Martin song?) 😆

So yeah, this tap every four hours for shovels / tap once every 6 hours on the panninni press / visit Neighboreenos (at a reduced prize ratio) without any clever dialog is “no bueno” – so is no time to earn Bonuts at end of an Event’s Act, but this is EA’s new modus operandi (and it stinks) 😯

    • Yes, he was one “wild and crazy guy” back then. 🙂

The tap panini press every six hours thing is only until you upgrade it to a shorter cool-off time.

  2. I still reset everyone manually every morning. I made the mistake of fully upgrading the IRS before I really knew what it would mean – too wide a sweep for me! Aussies just call it the tax office. By bedtime I’m in the no care zone – so many aren’t set tasks in my 2 towns.

  3. I missed 8 days of game play due to land error glitch….asked to be compensated…Mofos offered me 15 donuts…i said i dont think so ans i will not be spending another dollar on this game

Prize 4 is “orb of Isis”? Have to say, that’s not something I would have expected. Surely it had some different meaning way back in season 9…

    • It totally did. Isis is an Egyptian god and the episode had an entire exhibit in the museum with the treasures from a tomb with the deity’s name. Simpler times I suppose.

Thanks for the hard work Alissa 😊 It’s always great to know who to have free 😊

  6. Walk like an Egyptian 🙂

  7. Short and sweet. The third act is what I’m looking forward to!

  8. Act 1 was great, I had high hopes for it. Act 2 looks like it may be a disappointment. Found a full calendar and Act 3 looks not that much better. At least the final prize is a new character but it is not the pirate as I had hoped. We’ll see how much ransom he is asked for!

  9. Sooooo fast. No variety of task length and it’s pretty much Homer and a few “extra” characters. I just started the final part of the main line this morning. Gearing up for 10+ days of plotless grinding. I wish the quest set up a bonus prize at 160k of unrushable event currency. I wouldn’t get it, but it would be more fun to have something to look up to. Plus if I saw it in a friend’s town I would be, like, “mmm, something special”. Happy tapping!

  10. Any clues as to whether there might be any more Egyptian themed items to pick up in the store?

  11. I’m liking this event were the currency earners (shovels) is not the same people needed for the quest (Homer / Misc Springfielders )
It makes compleating the quest line a no brainer, since you don’t need to choose.

    • I agree, except I really, really don’t like the “make Springfielders….” tasks, because they totally screw up my ability to use the unemployment office and god forbid it’s a 24-hour or 1-hour task just when I’m ready for bed, meaning that I have to manually send about 200 characters on their overnight tasks.

I wish that, once you send the requisite number of characters on the questline challenge (usually 5), it becomes optional for the rest of them (meaning you can use the unemployment office on the rest of them). On the plus side, I do like that you can send them on it using the list in the questline icon dialog box, rather than having to cycle through them using the character icons. But I always have to keep myself from accidentally sending one of my freemium charters who have premium skins, because those event tasks usually only earn them their freemium rate.

      • I’ve been dreaming of that feature for ages. I HATE “Send Springfielders…” tasks for that exact reason.

      • Not only do the quest tasks only earn freemium rate, but they also switch the character back to their normal skin. You have to manually switch them back.
This morning, Artie Ziff was flying across the screen in his helicopter, and I realized I must have sent him on the all Springfielders tasks. He’s supposed to be in his Stonecutters outfit 24/7.

      • At 200+ characters, I have given up on trying to manually send everyone on a 12 hour overnight task😬, instead of a “send Springfielders” task. I decided that one night’s occasional loss of income will not kill me, but repeated attempts to send everyone out manually most certainly would make me insane🙀…and then who would take care of my town?😂

      • Sometimes those tasks can be helpful – I am somewhere in the middle of Cavewoman Booberella’s quest, and currently there is a 4h-task to send everyone on a diet (or some such). After that is done, the task is still on top of everybody’s list, and when I sent everyone on 4h task (in synch with the shovel earners), almost everyone heads for Booberella’s cave. Meaning I can release everyone with one tap, no hunting them down all over Springfield. I do like that 🙂
